Summary: One of the greatest
Review: I never caught this show even once when it was on Fox. I am a pretty big sci-fi fan and nerd, and I'm a huge fan of the Simpsons, but I just never sat down and watched this show in its first run. It was only when Cartoon Network started airing it as part of the Adult Swim package that I accidentally one night ended up sitting through it with my roommate. I was immediately hooked. I went out and bought the season 1 DVD's immediately. One of the things that amazed me about this show is how strong it started out. The Simpsons, for example, was really not great looking at the beginning. This show started incredibly strong, and only got stronger.
Season 2 has some of the greatest Futurama episodes, and the acting and writing really hit its stride here. I think it may be safe to say that this show went out while it was still very strong, and these episodes really hold up on repeat viewings.
Many of my nerd friends claim that this show can only really be enjoyed by other nerds. I disagree- my roommate, who has probably never seen Star Trek or any popular sci-fi movies or TV, let alone some of the more obscure stuff, loved watching this show with me. I love watching it with my nerd friends, who get some of the jokes that I don't (I am a big Star Trek fan, but I absolutely do not like Star Wars, so my friends can point out the Star Wars jokes to me, and me the Star Trek jokes to them).
The animation is absolutely top notch, probably the best that has been on television. I would highly reccommend buying this set. It looks so much more amazing and rich on DVD than even on television. If you have never seen Futurama, watch it on Cartoon Network. If you have the extra money and are contemplating buying this, do it.
One other thing to note: in the UK, these sets come out way ahead of us here in the US. Futurama vols. 3 and 4 are already out there, and they are exactly what we will be getting here in the US eventually. If you have the funds, I would reccommend seeing if your DVD player can play region 2 PAL DVD's (I have a kind of cheapo DVD player, but it can play PAL DVD's), and if you can, it's really easy to just go to www.amazon.co.uk and order these other sets, instead of waiting the months for them to finally come out here.

Summary: GREAT SHOW...NEEDS TO BE RELEASED FASTER!
Review: Just watched this latest series not too long ago. Once again, Fox has outdone themselves! Frye's witless humor keeps you rolling as Bender's sarcasm adds the subtle but great humor that made this show great. It's just too bad that the show was cancelled!!! Shame on Fox for cancelling anything that doesn't shine as bright as the Simpsons.
Not living in the US, I never even heard of this show before it was cancelled. And now, I have to wait for the agonizingly slow sales to release the seasons. And, to twist the knife even more, while Christmas shopping the other day, I saw that in Europe, they have already released seasons 3 & 4 on DVD...too bad its in PAL format :(
Why the slow release times for the US?

Summary: Even funnier than season one!
Review: Season Two of Futurama contains even more hilarity than the first season--and, considering how funny season one was by itself, that's really saying something. Season Two contains plenty of classic episodes, such as "I Second That Emotion," wherein Bender and Leela's emotions become linked. "Put Your Head on My Shoulders," "The Problem With Poplars," and "Anthology Of Interest Part I" are also all classic episodes. My personal favorite, though, is "Mother's Day," in which the evil entrepeneur, Mom, causes all of her robots to revolt against the humans. As a result, Bender hooks up with a greeting card that spouts Communist ideology.

Great for any animated series fan.

Review: this is probably the season that gets into the more sicker comedy, some of the episodes in this i just don't watch because they are so gross. I can't believe they put some of these on tv, that mothers day eppisode was disturbing, ew old people, doing ... i dont want to think about it. Crustasceon(sp?) in love is also a very gross episode although i do like the constant zoidberg bashing :) probably my favorite episode on this disc is Put your head on my shoulders, the honking, and anthology of interest, with all the others in close second. This is a really great set, I just have one question when the heck is the 3rd and 4th box set going to be available, because its already available in europe. I love the show, but watch the same 2 box sets over and over is just going to make me get bored of them fast. I want my third and fourth seasons.

Summary: 5 stars for the show itself........
Review: I'm giving this 5 stars simply for the show. I love it and don't want the rating hurt. Now I get to complain.....
What the %#^&& is going on with the releases of these things? The UK has had season 3 for quite some time now, and......AND...season 4 is being released in just 2 days! Why do we STILL not have a release date in the states for season 3? What's the hold up? If it was worthy of releasing in the UK, just how much more do you have to do to the darn thing to get it out over here? Should I be ill because they get it first or should they be mad because they are getting a release that's not up to par with what they would put out here? I seriously doubt that the UK releases are bad so I'm going to take the former. This is really making me mad that I have to see reviews of people just loving season 3 and I still can't look forward to a specific date for me to enjoy it! Come ON Fox! Put the friggin things out!

Summary: A cynical, hilarious view of the future
Review: Matt Groening's vision of how technology improves but people never do really shines in the 2nd season of Futurama. The jokes are as densely packed as in The Simpsons and are no less clever. Human behavior gets skewered along with the sillier paradoxes and hackneyed concepts that often appear in lesser works of science fiction. Thoroughly enjoyable, you'll find new jokes in it each time you watch it.

Summary: Even better than the first volume.
Review: 19 episodes, all with audio commentary, with delected scenes from 15 of the episodes and tons of extras. Some of the greatest episodes are in this volume, such as 'A Head In The Polls','Raging Bender','Bender Gets Made' and 'The Honking'. OK, OK, I am a Bender fan. But that's the best part - with four DVDs, even the fans of Dr. Zoidberg will find a few episodes they can enjoy (the poor losers). DVDs full of Nixon, new alien races, clones, the Robot Mafia, lots of talking heads plus lots of guest stars like Al Gore and Bob Barker. Futurama also steals from and/or makes fun of Star Wars, Star Trek and other Sci-Fi classics and not-so-classic Sci-Fi. Bender says to buy this collection or else!

Summary: Great DVD
Review: Some people dont like this show, but to many it is the greatest show every created. While i may not laugh as many times during a futurama episode as i will during a simpsons or family guy episode, i like futurama better. The concept for the show is great. Matt Groening invented a masterpiece. If u have doubts, family guy is on fox and tbs. watch a few episodes and decide

Review: Obviously edited.
Once again...this season rocks
And once again:
The simpsons freakin' suck, TAKE IT OFF TV, IT IS NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. Fox doesnt know a good show when they get one, its sad that hilarious shows like this and Family Guy were cancelled and horedous show like the Simpsons and god knows how mayny reality shows that they have stay on. GAH! Something is wrong here people.
