Summary: GREATEST SHOWS EVER
Review: Six Feet Under is one of the greatest TV series I have ever watched. It has good acting, great story lines, surprisingly funny at times and is very addictive. I've watched the show since the pilot episode and love it to pieces. Try watching one episode, and see if you won't want to watch it again.

Summary: Best drama/series EVER!
Review: Ok, I must admit I was a little leary of a show depicting a family who ran a funeral home. But after episode ONE I was totally hooked! I have since watched all of season one twice without missing an episode. I have also seen ALL of season two and hope to see all of them at least a second time before the new season starts (which I cannot wait for!)

The humaness of the characters makes the show very believable and relatable. The relationship issues can appeal to all age groups, ethnicities, personality types and most of all, to both sexes.

I look forward to every episode that will show me as much of Matthew St. Patrick (who plays the part of Keith) as possible!

Summary: Excellent drama
Review: On hearing that a new drama was about to start on television, written by the writer of American Beauty, I instantly set my video to record it. After watching the first episode I was impressed, and thereafter I've been watching it every week, enjoying it immensly, being the tv highlight of my week. It's an original idea which succeeds to portray and deliver characters who live and suffer issues in modern society. The first series is about to end in the UK and I can't wait to see the second!

Review: After seeing American Beauty and then reading Alan Ball's screenplay, I was absolutely touched. So when i heard that Alan Ball was going to create a tv show for HBO, I knew that i had to watch it. The first season was incredible. This is a top notch television program that is realistic and honest. The acting can't get any better than this. The writing and directing is beautiful. After each episode, I find myself feeling inspired. When this dvd comes out, I will definately buy it. I recommend that everyone else does the same.

Review: HBO has outdone themselves on this series. It is definatly groundbreaking and critically acclaimed. The acting is outstanding...I have been obsessed with this show, since it's in an off season right now I have been downloading episodes. I watch them over and over. Once the DVD comes out it'll be so much better (I won't have to sit for hours waiting for an episode to download.) I would definatly recommend this product!

Summary: Six Feet Under Season 2
Review: I work at a University Medical School and direct the Teaching Labs as well as the Whole Body Donation Program for our anatomy courses. I deal with death daily and have found this to be an amazingly normal part of my life.

I watch little television -but read incessantly. After a season of reading rave reviews about SFU - I ordered a digital cable service in order to get HBO so I could watch this season.

I was instantly hooked - and shamelessly admit that I record every episode so I can share with family who do not have HBO. This very well produced program is not about death/dying but works magic in bringing this truly taboo subject into ordinary circumstances, to be seen in the context it truly ought to be.

People die every day...life goes on. The professionals who deal with our dear departed are just like us (not macabre weirdos) with all the same frailties we all possess. A wonderfully rich, real, and truthful program. Bravo!

Summary: The best show on television
Review: I usually dont get hooked on television series. I rarely watch TV. But I must say, when I watched Six Feet Under, I was amazed. This is the first and only series I watch. Way to go HBO. You've got some loyal, greatful fans for putting such a great show on the air. Cant wait til next season!!

Summary: six feet under
Review: from the first episode this series manages to trap you into its world of strange and thrilling plot twists and increadably disfunctual families. unlike so many of the shows available today this one does not bother sugar coating the lives of the main charecters, instead, it keeps their strange problems and fears grippingly real.
the show allows us to explore the strained relatinshipos of one famillie after the father has died. just like american beauty, although it may not be a pleasant show, or at times even easy to watch, it is stageringly good.
my final verdict is that this well acted piece of art combines a weird plot with even weirder subplots and devishly dark humour to create something that any decent film lover would find breathtaking.

Summary: SFU
Review: I, like so many viewers, have been hooked on this drama from day one. My husband and I have been cable customers probably since the service began. We've gotten disillusioned over the past year with lousy programming and increasing rates. However, SFU makes the rates less objectionable and improves the programming -- thank goodness for HBO.

The first episiode introduces you to the Fischer family, who are morticians - which obviously lends a sense of morbidity and a bit of unreality to the plots. The father dies suddenly in an accident while picking up a new hearse. Afterwards, the mother admits to to her children that she has been having a steamy affair with her hairdresser. The oldest son, Nate, is arriving in town for the Xmas holidays - only to have sex with Brenda - a new acquaintance from the plane - in a closet in the airport. Next we see David, the gay brother who has yet to "come out" and finally, there's Claire. Red haired, rebellious, somewhat obnoxious teenager who only sees the bad/dismal things in life. Talk about a mixed bag!

The family is intriguing to say the least - and it certainly gives a different perspective to that mystique of death and mortuaries - even if with a slightly morbid fascination. Nate is an absolute BABE! Ruth, the mom has some issues that I don't know if she'll ever resolve . Nate's new girlfriend, Brenda, ends up his ex-fiancee. Her brother, Bily, has some real personality problems - I think they're co-dependent, although Billy seems to becoming more aware of the problems with the relationship with his sister. She's a loon to have tossed Nate aside just for sex with anyone. All in all, it's a most unusal drama - and certainly makes you think about the relationship between each member and the over-all family profile. Quite enjoyable.

Summary: Can't wait for the DVD and Second Series
Review: The first series has only just started being aired in Ireland and is already a hit. The pilot was disturbing, and each episode has something to get you thinking. The characters are just brilliant, their diversity and individual quirkiness are spellbinding. Each has a secret only known to the audience at this stage, and the interaction, tension, love and hatred between them is well portrayed. Can't wait for the DVD and the second series!! If you're in the least bit inbalanced - this will get you thinking!
