Rating: Summary: A Must Have for Any Warm Blooded Woman! Review: It's hard to believe that a second season could be as good if not better than the first. If you don't believe it's possible, than where have you been? The characters have deepened their relationships, not only with each other - but with their audience. If there is honestly one woman out there - married or single - from 20 to 70, who can't relate to these woman, or incidents then I pity you. I can't wait for the next season to be released, and am already on the waiting list.

Rating: Summary: Give us more! Review: As a conservative 30 something woman, I didn't think I would like this show. However, after renting it for the first time, I became hooked. You feel like you are a part of these characters' lives when you watch it.It's the story of four single women in New York City who are best friends. You get to watch as they weave their way in and out of bad relationships, and always run to each other for comfort. These women tell each other everything about their sexual escapades, and parts of it can be hilarious. There are people who criticize this show because they feel that anyone who jumps from bed to bed the way these characters do should have every sexually transmitted disease out there. While this may be true, what viewers have to realize is that this show is fantasy, and it's there to entertain us. Just have fun and watch it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent writing, top-notch acting. Review: Carrie and the girls are back for season 2, and what a joy it is to have them back. Fantastic performances from the 4 main actresses and some wonderful adventures for them written by Darren Star and other assorted gifted writers. This show takes the 30 minute "sitcom" format and turns it on its ear. Luckily for us! Less ditzy than Season 1, this season is more mature, more to the point and more grounded. The show continues to grow as we have recently witnessed with the end of Season 4, but the true maturity of this show began here, at Season 2. The DVD is arranged clearly and succinctly and the picture quality is excellent. A must for fans of the show.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: Sex and the City is one of the best shows on television and this second-season box set is a great collection of episodes. Always funny, real, and intriguing, the four main character women are constantly put into the most interesting situations and it is so much fun to watch how they deal with things. The second season DVDs have much better picture quality than the first season shows did, which is a nice little "extra" to boot. Definitely highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: When is Season 3 coming out?!?!? Review: For the single women of the new millenium, this is the show to watch. The series explores the issues of single women... from the vibrator to the "marrieds." Their lifestyles are enviable; they go only to the poshest restaurants and are invited to all the "in" parties, while dressed in fabulous outfits. And to top it off, my friends in New York say that this isn't far off-base from reality. So, although the lifestyles may not be exactly what you're used to, the problems that these women face are universal: good men are hard to find, beauty is more than skin deep, and good friends are the most important thing a girl can have.
Rating: Summary: FUN! Review: Everything about Sex and the City is fun, and this DVD does not dissapoint. The episodes are all enjoyable. I watched them with my sisters and we bonded as we laughed together. This is one of my favorite DVDs that I will be sure to watch over and over again through the years. I highly recommend!
Rating: Summary: The best TV show ever!!! Review: I love this show and watching it on DVD is out of this world. It is by far the most complete, substantive, funny, best written/directed, and true-to-life show EVER on television. "Friends" or any other show for that matter, is... compared to Sex. I just can't wait until the third season is out on DVD (does anybody know when?)
Rating: Summary: Thanks for the mamaries Review: My wife wanted this series, but it is a bit more than a chick-flick series. Mostly it's scattered barbs against males are on the harmless side, and if anything reveal more the shortcomings of those firing the barbs, than of the target males. If you males are concerned that it is another bitterly anti-male thing from the all but dead and buried anti-male-feminists movement, rest easy. As a college Prof I am happy to say that most young, feminine, female college students these days see the hatemongering, anti-male, anti-baby, anti house-wife, feminist movement a notch below other neo-McCarthites and anathema. The newest female generation loves men. The series is hilarious, it's a "...you can't live with 'em, can't do without 'em thing... " and there's enough skin and self-deprecation to interest men and women and allows the female protagonists to be human, vulnerable and in some cases downright likeable, despite their view of men (which favor is returned by most males in the series towards women). I liked it enough to buy her seasons 1 and then 2. When is season 3 available?
Rating: Summary: This is a TV show, not real life. That's why we love it. Review: This show is what we've all been waiting for. A cast of lively, precocious, flawed, endearing women to whom you can relate in one episode, and then pity the next. That's what will make you keep watching. In our society, the life of a independent woman is just not that simple, and these women try to deal with the onslaught of men, work, family, in-laws, money and children in the only way they can: with grace, humanity and a sense of humor. This show has won critical-acclaim for good reason. And we love it because it isn't real life. Even if we wish it were. At least then, we could all go out for cosmos after work with Samantha, Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda.
