Review: Peter Jackson is a genius. Seeing this movie in the theater was amazing, but the extended scenes make for an even better movie that follows the book more closely. I was pretty scared that PJ was gonna screw up LOTR for me forever, but this is a great film adaptation.

Review: There aren't enough words to decribe this film, absolutely, truely amazing! I waited a year to see this film and I regret doing so...this DVD made it more worth while. It's amazing, exclusive interviews, how it was made, every detail you want to know....I was blown away. Listen to the commentaries, especially the cast, informative and hilarious. Lord of the Rings have opened up a wonderful world for me. I'm reading the books, loving more of the cast and waiting very IMpatiently for the third movie: Return of the King. This DVD details it down to the book, like the gift giving, lembas bread, more of everything. I love it, and I know I'll be still watching it years on!(...)

Review: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" is a brilliant movie by director Peter Jackson! The special effects, cinematography, and music (score) were all fantastic! This movie is filled with action, adventure, drama, a little romance, fantasy, and fun. Even though this movie did not perfectly follow the author J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy book, which I have read, that does not mean that this is a bad movie. I, for one, can actually understand why Peter Jackson, and his crew, cut, added, and changed some parts to it. The actors and actresses did a wonderful job on acting in this movie. They also did a wonderful job on acting like the characters from the book. There are a lot of fantasy characters brought to life, from the book, on this movie such as: the ring-wraiths, the watcher in the water, many orcs, a cave troll, the balrog demon, elves, dwarves, wizards, and hobbits. Peter Jackson chose to direct this movie in New Zealand, which was the perfect country to direct "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy movies. This movie is the winner of four Oscars (Academy Awards)! Congratulations to director Peter Jackson and his crew! I highly recommend you buy "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" movie on VHS or DVD because it is a perfect five star and two thumbs up true t

Review: LOTR is a beautifully made, crafted and sculpted film, presented in this unique special edition DVD. The plot sticks faithfully to J.R.R Tolkien's books, and the set pieces and effects are particularly fantastic. Recommended to anyone.

Review: This movie is one of the best movies ever. The graphics are good, the story plot is good, the acting was also good. Unfortunelty the ending was a little disappointing. Review: I think the way that this movie was made. The widescreen in this title was not very good. You can not see the whole screen from a widescreen tv. You would think that the people have televisions sets that are full screen. So, I am hoping you are trying to make this a fullscreen in the box sets.

Summary: Extended Version Definitely Worth Seeing
Review: In the interests of keeping the movie to a certain length, the director was forced to cut scenes that fill out the story and make it a far richer experience. To put it simply, this extended version has material that makes the story work. When I saw the movie in the theater I was disappointed that the rhythm of Tolkien's story seemed lost - but clearly the director had it all in mind as he was making the film. This is the movie everyone should have seen. Superb.

Review: I can't play this DVD using my XBOX playback. Microsoft has just added it to a secret list of DVD's that won't play on their XBOX DVD playback system along with Snowwhite & Star Wars Episode One. Now I guess I have to but a DVD player just to see the deleted stuff.
