Rating: Summary: Extremely Intense! Review: "24" is one of the only primetime TV dramas I hold in high regard. For three whole seasons, and currently working on its fourth, "24" has met my criteria in what I would consider a high quality TV drama. However, it has also surpassed my expectations especially in the areas of suspense and predictability. The show centers itself around the character Jack Bauer, a CTU(Counter Terrorist Unit) Agent, whose job is to protect the United States from any Internal or External Terrorist Attack. The show takes you over the course of a single day (one episode covers one hour of that one particular day) in which Jack has to face a certain threat to national security. For the past three seasons, Jack has already faced the threat of assasination of a presidential candidate(season 1), threat of a nuclear attack on U.S. soil(season 2), and the threat of a nationwide biological attack(season 3). Kiefer Sutherland plays the role of Jack Bauer and does an awesome job in portraying the harsh, cold and relentless personality that Jack is given. But what really gives the show its edge is the level of suspense it has and how each separate event weaves itself into the personal life of Jack. And the show is extremely unpredictable because of the way it manipulates the characters to take on different roles, and who you thought would be the good guy, actually turns out to be the enemy. Sometimes you won't see what's coming until you've seen it all from beginning to end. So if you want suspense, and if you want action, I highly recommend "24".
Rating: Summary: The following takes place between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Review: 24 is one of the best shows ever. For those who have not seen the show It's about counter terrorism. And it takes place in real time over a period of 24 hours. In season 1 federal agent Jack Bauer(Kiefer Sutherland)had to stop terrorists from assisnating senator and presdental cantidate David Palmer. In season 2 Jack Bauer had to stop terrorists from from detonating a nuclear bomb in los angeles. I liked all 3 seasons but in my opinion season 2 was the best. And in season 3 Jack Bauer had to stop bio-terrorists from releasing a deadly virus that could kill most of the american population. Some people have said that the ending to season 3 was anti-cliamatic, but, with out giving anything away, I disagree because you have to take in to consideration everything that happened not just that in that season, but everything that has happened in the previous seasons as well. All and all 24 is a edge of your seat thriller. Get it and you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Lots of excitement for the money Review: As a retiree living on a fixed income, I thought long and hard about spending the money for all three seasons of 24. But when I looked at the product details, I realized I would be getting 72 episodes on 20 discs for about 120 bucks. That is only about $1.75 per one-hour episode. That's a fantastic deal for the most exciting, thrill-packed adrenalin rush possible on television. You can't come close to that much entertainment even by renting the DVDs, or what it would cost in monthly cable or satellite fees. I give this a five-star rating not only for the content, but for the deal.
