Review: 24, last years surprise hit for FOX TV, will take you where no other television show has ever taken you.In a dramatic move away from the status quo of television prime time dramas, the producers of "24" have created an exciting and unique drama that transports the viewer into the world of Jack Bauer. Set in real time blocks of one hour each episode, the most mundane of events takes time to unfold. Driving across town now become a major plot line and multiple story lines become a necessity. The post production work is cutting edge and the sound and visual effects are well placed and promote the plot. Using cut aways and split screens in a television show usually bugs the heck out of me, but for some reason, these effects seem perfectly fine in this groundbreaking new series. The pace of the story moves steadily towards a series of plot twists and anti-climaxes that will leave you grasping for the DVD remote. If you started watching with season two, you should purchase season one just so you can see what all the hype is about.

Review: First I'd like to start with the fact that I absolutely love the show. It is by FAR the best show on TV, and the first season is outstanding. That being said, I wish that the DVD had more special features. For example the pilot (12am-1am) that we saw both on television and the DVD was heavily editted since the episode appeared close to 9/11. I would have liked to see the original version. Aside from the alternate (lame) ending there isn't really any other features. Even lacking features the DVD is still extremely worth buying since this this is such an outstanding show,

Review: 24 is my favorite show in the whole world.The acting is very good and the plot is GENIUS. After each episode there is an IRONIQUE TWIST. I will WARN you that 24 is a violent show. I don't mind the violence but it does occur often. Jack Bauer is a CTU agent and many things happen to him in those 24 hours. I won't tell you much but his wife and daughter are takin hostage and he has to save them while making sure that a presidental canidate and he are not killed. Jack Bauer is the PERFECT ROLE for Keifer Sutherland. 24 is the best show out there and I hope you give it a try.

Review: When I first saw the commercials for 24 I knew it would be a good show, but I never watched it because I didn't want to get hooked. One night in the middle of season 2, I was home with nothing to do when 24 came on. Well, after seeing just 1 episode in the middle of the season, I ordered season 1 on DVD. My wife and I popped in disc 1 late one Friday night, but, having a 2 month old baby, we soon were tired and only got through 2 episodes. That wasn't going to stop us though. The rest of the weekend was devoted to 24. (No we didn't neglect the baby). We finished off the entire season by Monday night. Needless to say we love it and are hooked. I will be buying season 2 the day it comes out on DVD. Everyone probably knows the premise by now, so I won't get into that. I'll just say that the production, acting, editing, writing and everything else are done at blockbuster movie quality. The time aspect makes the show just that much more intense and suspenseful. I'm glad that I watched the entire season on DVD because I'm not sure I'd be able to watch just one episode per week. I guess I'll have to learn since season 3 will be starting this fall. In short: Highly recommended, but set aside some time because you'll be hooked.

Review: 24 is one of the shows that I watch the most... I even prefer it to C.S.I. (I watch them both).... and the second season is even better than this one... the greatest thing about this DVD set is the price... compared for example to The X-Files which are over twice as [much for] each season... this is a gift... you are paying less [money] for each DVD!! Buy it now!

Review: We don't have cable and FOX comes in horribly. First saw an episode while on vacation in Scotland. Was intrigued, but had no clue what was going on (hour 7). Came back, bought the DVD and everyone we lent it to, finished it in less than a week!

Review: I rented 24 from my video store not knowing what to expect. I heard that it was a good show, but I never bothered to tune in. I already watched Alias, and one crazy spy show was enough for me. How wrong I was. As soon as I watched the first episode, I was hooked. If my schedule had permitted it, I would have watched the entire series in 16 straight hours. It is hands down the best television drama I have ever watched. It is brilliantly directed and pieced together, to keep viewers guessing until the end's VERY SHOCKING twist. I only wish I would have bought it at the beginning. It is wonderfully acted, in my opinion, especially by Kiefer Sutherland, David Haysbert, and Sarah Clarke. Okay, and Penny Johnson Jerald, whom I loved to hate. Take my advice: buy this DVD set. You will not be disappointed. Just remember to expect the unexpected. Because I know you'll be caught off guard.

Summary: 24: The Best Show On Television And DVD!
Review: My best friend loves this show and she talks about it all the time, so I decided to get the boxed set to give to her for her birthday. She was very excited when I gave it to her and suggested that I start watching the show. Having never seen 24, I decided to take a chance and purchase this set for myself. I am so glad that I did! I absolutely love it! I could just kick myself for not watching it on TV from the beginning. I've watched the entire season twice already and I'm on my 3rd viewing of it. I feel kind of guilty for watching it again, like I should be doing something more constructive. If I didn't work, I would have watched it straight through. I can't wait for the 2nd season to be released on DVD, I'll be 1st in line to get it, I hope it will be released quickly. Kiefer Sutherland is a wonderful actor, I really like him, he deserves so much more recognition than he gets. He's so good-looking, too. I suggest the book that goes along with the 1st season, it's a fun read. Take a chance, get hooked on 24 like I did. Trust me, you'll find yourself wanting more! Enjoy! :)
