Summary: A gift from the greatest band on earth!
Review: This is the most exciting collection of concert footage I have ever seen. This DVD is remarkable because who knew such great film of the band even existed? It does make me a little sad to think that I missed out on seeing such greatness live onstage in my lifetime. Anyone who doesn't see how powerful these performances are is just a little bit lost and I have pitty for them. Perhaps the greatest treat of all was seeing the genius of John Bonham that we have seen precious little film of in the past...he was a powerhouse of drumming skill indeed! Long live John Bonham AND the mighty Led Zeppelin!

Summary: Unbelievable, confirms the Mega Superstar status of Zeppelin
Review: Watching LZ on stage with only a simple drum kit, guitar, bass, and vocals makes it all the more amazing the music that they put out. The Jimmy Page solo, the John Bohaman (sp?) drum solo during Moby Dick, the simplicity of the stage set, it is Rock & Roll at its most pure form.
This is an instant classic concert film, if not one of the best ever. No other band could make such a musical statement with the bare minimum set-up that LZ used. I love U2, Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, etc. and I have seen their concert films, but they all rely on elaborate stage set ups, showmanship, etc.
Led Zeppelin Rocks!

Summary: Anyone who is a fan of music will enjoy this......
Review: Don't listen to anyone who thinks this isn't worth it. While there are plenty of great bands and performers out there today, not one in the pop music scene, especially Justine Timberlake, can hold a candle to these guys. Led Zeppelin plays a pivotal role in rock and roll history. Their influence will be felt, and talked about, long after the "stars" of today lose their luster...
This DVD is excellent. Video footage is good and the sound quality is fantastic. It gives great insight into the strength of this band live. The music is almost timeless. For people who were not old enough to see this band, this DVD is the next best thing to being there.

Summary: Loud Noise
Review: A waste of money for a DVD with poor resolution and loud noise that hurts your ears and gives you a headache. I guess instead of touring they dusted off some old junk and released it to the public. I don't get this at all. Don't waste your time.

Summary: Excellent Display of talent
Review: While people may complain of the visuals or even the sound at certain parts of the DVD, they would kid themselves out of being a real or even just a regular old Zeppelin fan. Most of the footage taken from the first concert was bootleg film. However all it does is make it look even more real. Put this DVD on with nice DTS sound system and you'll instintly be in love and feel like you're at the concert.
Just seeing the style changes is worth it, going from 1970 to 1979, the band changed so much, and yet managed to stay so similiar. This DVD is a must have for anyone music fan who enjoys concerts. If you're a Zeppelin fan at all, it has to be in you're collection.

This is by far one of the greatest concert DVD's that will ever be released... hands down.

Summary: Stellar
Review: 7 Stars.

Too bad we had to wait so long, but it was worth the wait. Stop what you're doing and go buy this immediately. It is excellent.

What I like most about this DVD is that it captures the essence of Led Zeppelin's live shows AND their evolution as a live act. The video varies from mediocre to very good (excellent for the era), as does the sound quality. But the music comes through loud and clear because the whole is far greater than the sum of the parts.

Summary: Saw them live in '73 & 5X in '75 - this is the real deal
Review: I was lucky enough to see LZ in 73 & a bunch of times in Feb 1975 @ MSG, NYC, at which they may have filmed a shot or two from Song Remains the Same. This band was so great....to see them evolve from 1971 where JP wears those geeky tennis shoes to the glitz of MSG with the clothes, a cocky rock band who were the greatest and knew it, to the acoustic set (brilliant, esp The Art of Dying...never knew ANYone used a Danelectro guitar for real)....to the older, post-death-of-Plant's-son-Carec at Knebsworth show, which was so great. I play (or try to) most of those tunes - seeing "What is...." in 1971 blew me away, and No One's Fault but Mine was a treat, the definitive solo in Stairway, plus the JP handling of playing multiple tracks (as you hear on the CDs/albums)at one time (as in R&R and Ocean) is instructional as well as professional..the man has talent, skill, balls and so what if he's sloppy - that's his style.

I don't know how many times I've played a track or 2 here and there - it's such an unbelievable collection. It's great yet saddening to recall my teenage days, how young and great THEY looked and sounded, and how time passes so quickly...so quickly you gotta capture these moments in time because they are powerful and pass so quickly....has it been 30 years?

Summary: I obviously had very good taste when I was a teenager...
Review: Now I remember why Led Zeppelin was my favorite band when I was teenager growing up in the 70's. I obviously had very good taste back then.

However, to be honest, I really don't listen to Led Zeppelin that much anymore...But I recently heard about this DVD and was very curious. I have an excellent home theatre system and I figured that with today's technology, they should be able to put together a nice, high quality package. I was right, except that this is actually even better than what I expected. This is an excellent, very high quality package.

The sound quality significantly exceeds my expectations. I am absolutely amazed at how good this sounds. Everything is crystal clear: John Bonham's thunderous drumming, John Paul Jones' bass & Keyboard playing, and of course Jimmy Page's guitar and Robert Plant's vocals.

In addition to the fantastic sound quality, this package also provides excellent footage of the band that I worshipped as a kid. In the 70's, there was no such thing as MTV, and I never had the privilege of seeing Led Zeppelin live--so this is a real treat for me. I did see the movie The Song Remains the Same, but other than that, live footage of Led Zeppelin was virtually non-existent back in those days.

Everything is great, but highlights of this package are:
DVD 1:
- We're gonna groove
- I Can't Quit You Baby
DVD 2:
- In My Time of Dying
- The Ocean
- The entire acoustic set (Going To California, That's The Way, Bron Yr Aur Stomp)

The acoustic set is especially worth noting.

Even though I rate this as a 5, there are some points that are not as good as the rest of package:
-Stairway to Heaven (great song, no doubt, but it isn't exactly a highlight on this collection)
- Whole Lotta Love (there are 2 versions in this package, and neither of them represent the best of what this DVD collection has to offer)

Bottom line: Buy this and enjoy!
