Summary: Disapointment at box office, but wonderful entertainment
Review: "Junior Bonner" was the only Mcqueen film to lose money at the box office, but not because it was a bad movie. The simplistic, character-driven format of the film just wasn't exciting enough to stir much intrest. Action director Sam Pecinpah bravely took on a totally different genre of film than he was used to. It works, though; and it has become "the" rodeo film to see. It's not as sappy and accidently shallow as "8 Seconds". Steve Mcqeen is a star in every movie he made, successful or not, but his quiet roles, such as "Junior Bonner", define his legend statis.

Review: I think the reason why 'Evil Dead' is such a good horror (in my view at least)is because it manages to create a very good of fear simply because there is no escape for the teens. Also, fear is made even more frightful by the fact that one by one each of the teens are killed off..untill there is one left! (at least untill you watch the sequel). Overall, I'd say that this movie has got to be worth a try, even if the actoring is...well, a little odd in places. I would also recommend Evil Dead 2, which is an even better film and gets the full 5 stars from me.
