Summary: The Scream box set- The best of horror
Review: When I first watched Scream I didn't know what to expect, I didn't really like horror movies and only watch it as all my college friends were. The result to me was simple; I don't think I ever enjoyed a film as much. Scream was very original in the way its story was told within three chapters, similar to the methods used in The Godfather trilogy, and Star Wars. Many people would probably be disgusted that I used the Godfather and star wars in the same review as Scream, but Scream is one of my favourite all-time movies. The original script by Kevin Williamson was incredible, and it re-unlighted the slasher/horror movie. Wes Craven's directions was first rate (even although I didn't really like any other of his movies), it didn't have the same amount of gore as many pervious horror films include (in which I include 'The Candy Man', which was a very good film, but relied on too much gore), instead its left a lot of the actual images to yourself. The disk was released twice in the USA, including the normal edition and the collector's edition. The normal edition was a very, very basic disk. It was a great picture quality, and superb sound, but nothing else. The collector's edition (Included within this set) is a far site better disk. It is basically the same as the VHS version, with better sound and picture quality. This version is a few minutes longer, and shows much more gore in two of the killings. Also included is a behind the scenes featurette. Scream was a crowd-pleasing hit, which encouraged me to watch horror movies again, so I couldn't wait for the sequel. So then there was number two.

Scream 2 was an eagerly waited sequel, but didn't really live up to the hype, but don't get me wrong I really liked the movie, but it didn't have the some possibilities as the original. The movie is very entertaining and has a well-toned script by Williamson. This was still much better than any of the other recent horrors. The features are very limited again, but the collector's edition (included within the set) does have a behind-the scenes feature not included within the normal version .

When Scream 3 was released, I had to see it, but I didn't really expect a lot. Scream 3 was brilliant, maybe not as good as the first, but better than the second. The number of possible killer was again huge and the twists regular. The story sorta goes like this.... its the set of Stab 3, and the killings again start, with the cast members being killed in the order they were in the script. Dewy is on set as a technical advisor, and Gail Weathers is helping the police find the killer. The murders revolve around the life of Sydney's (who's living in the woods, but soon becomes involved) mother Maureen Prescott. This in turn then explains the basis of all the movies, and why the whole thing started. Scream 3 completes the story; it is very clever film and without doubt the best horror since Scream. The DVD has some nice features, but the deleted scenes and alternate ending are very poor. The picture quality and sound is again outstanding.

The set also includes a fourth disk which includes various features from the trilogy. This in my opinion is the best box set available on the market, so get it for Christmas.

Summary: Very intelligent horror movies
Review: The SCREAM movies are great examples of horror/comedies done right, (except SCREAM 3, that was a little shabby). But the first two are very good, witty, and self-aware pieces of film higlighted by energetic performances by Matthew Lillard, Drew Barrymore, Jada Pinkett, Tim Olyphant and, especially, Jamie Kennedy as Randy, the all-knowing film buff. Own this box set!

Summary: THE BEST SCREAM IS ALWAYS THE LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: SCREAM 3 is the best slasher film of the year. It deliver's everything you want in a good slasher film. Neve Campbell gives her best performance ever in this movie as Sidney Prescott. The movie is a movie within a movie. While Sidney is living a little more happier life in her hide out house, STAB 3: Return To Woodsburo is filming. But as the cast members start to mysteriously die, Sidney and fellow survivor's and friends, Dewey Riley and Gayle Weathers, must face the terrible murder's that have haunted them one last time. Directed by Wes Craven with a really terrific cast, SCREAM 3 is the best scary slasher film of the year. I recomend you buy it on DVD or VHS right now! IT'S GREAT! That's why I give this movie 5 STARS.

Summary: Good for a 3rd
Review: Usually, by the time you get to part 3 in a series, it is not very good, but not in this case. This movie is very well-thought out and well-written. It has some unexpected twists that will almost guarentee that you will be guessing who the killer is throughout the whole movie. The acting is good, but not great, and it is still kinda scary! A worthy way to end a trilogy. Good job Wes! 8 out of 10. Reccomended!

Summary: Feeling a bit boxed in by the Ghost Face!!
Review: Overall this is pretty good addition to any scream fans dvd collection. I'm glad I waited for this, instead of buying each title as a single! Each movie contains tons of extras, including commentary by Craven, Trailers, and behind the scenes stuff. Sadly though, only the first film contains running commentary by Kevin Williamson--too bad he bowed out as the writer on the final chapter--The Bonus disc has a new documentary on the whole craze and "scream" tests (sorry 'bout that lame pun) of its stars and some funny spoofs that made this viewer chuckle. Even though the last chapter in the series is the weakest, the whole set is still, just plain fun!

Summary: The Last Scream is Always the Worst
Review: That should have been the title. The only thing that kept me watching to the end was waiting for Jay and Silent Bob to come back to kick evil's...you know. "Hey look Silent Bob, it's Connie Chung (Gail Weathers)!" They are the only reason that I even gave this movie any stars at all ( 1 1/2 for their appearance, plus 1/2 for assuring us that this series ends with this one ).

Rent it to see Jay and Silent Bob. The only reason I would buy it would be to add their cameo to my View Askew collection.

Summary: You can't just watch one
Review: The scream trilogy is an actual trilogy. There a story that runs through all three movies. These movies have humor, catchy lines and great characters. I usually don't bother with horror but after I saw the first Scream, I liked it. I like it even better that there were more with a story that runs through each of them. You have to watch them all in order. The Scream series also take some pokes at horror films in general with its tongue in cheek approach. Finally not all of the characters are unbelievably stupid. You can't watch just one. You have to watch them all. Those are the rules.

Summary: Scream again and again
Review: I had expected a really good movie from Scream because I had heard so much good things about it. I didn't get what I wanted, because this film is just terrible. The way the camera was shot was stupid, the director could of done soo much better, the acting was terrible, the music gave me a headache and the screenplay and special effects were silly and made the film boring to look at. Drew Barymore foolish girl on the run has just been stabbed and killed by a mysterious person at her home. Now all her friends and family are looking for what happened. I do not recommend this film at all, it is no true classic, and NOT the scariest movie ever made. Also, the starting scene is absolute rubbish. And that is definitely NOT the most well-known and best scene in movie history

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: The most horrible movie ever made
Review: The only admittance I can muster for this poor movie is that it was probably influential in its release. However, all the praise heaped on Scream is basically garnered from that and has very little to go on, in reality. Nowadays, this movie looks incredibly homemade and, at times boring, especially during the parts where it is obvious Craven is trying to build "tension." Plus, it has dull actors, which makes a movie look very boring. When Craven tries to bring in the "psychological" element to the movie, it looks even worse, because it is dreadfully apparent that he has no idea what he's talking about. Save your money and go to the theater to see any horror movie you want--it's guaranteed to be more believable than this one. The DVD set is only for idiot movies fans.
