Summary: I loved this film
Review: As a lady of very mature years and a veteran of the cinema audience,I spent my early years and later in the cinema,at the moment I have seen this film numerous times, it was a Romance using the tragic event of Pearl as a backdrop .The music was wonderful, the photography superb as were the characters also it caught the feel of the times, and reminded us of what was sacrificed for us,too easily forgotten, for me it was worthwhile cinema and I cried every time,I hope the video comes out soon After 55 years of watching movies I think I have a respectable opinion on the subject

Summary: "Pearl Harbor" is the best movie...........
Review: "Pearl Harbor" is the best movie because every actor is tremendous! The storyline is the best: they have enough of the love story and of the battle scenes. It is a wonderful representation of what happens during wars. Although all the actors are GREAT in it, there is one that I think is especially good - Ben Affleck. His performance is so wonderful because he makes it seem so real, like he really acted like a person would in his character's position. "Pearl Harbor" definitely deserves five stars because everything about the movie is excellent! The special effects are amazing! No matter what row you're sitting in, the movie makes you feel like you are actually there - especially in the battle scenes. It's like eating just one chip - this movie is so good that it keeps you coming back. So far, I have seen it four (4) times and I may see it again. That's how great it is! If you haven't seen it, you DEFINITELY SHOULD see it!

Summary: It was okay
Review: I was a bit skeptical at first, dubious if I may, about watching this film. I had heard horrible things about it and it seemed that all the critics had nothing positive to say about it. I finally went to see and I must say that I liked it. The love story was a bit mushy and a little too long as was the entire movie. 3 stars should do it.

Summary: The Best Movie
Review: The movie pearl harbor was one of the best movies i have ever seen. the way the director mixed the struggles of the bombing and the struggles between Danny( Josh Hartnett) Rafe(Ben Affleck)and Evelyn(Kate Beckinsale)was great it added more feeling than the emotional sadness of the war. I am not really sure how to describe the movie without giving it away but it is definately worth the time to go see. i can say for a fact as soon as it comes out i will get it.

Summary: Read a history book!
Review: When I heard that Michael Bay was directing this picture, I thought that it would probably be pretty bad. Could the director of "The Rock" be trusted to do justice to such a pivotal moment in history? Maybe, I thought, there's a real filmmaker in there and this is the chance he has been waiting for to do a different kind of movie. Nope. I got ... in by the hype and went to see this overlong, overblown soap opera of a film. It gets a couple stars from me just because a lot of things blow up real good. The love story is ridiculous.

I was disturbed by the smug, triumphant tone the film took toward the vengeful bombing of Tokyo. I'm not commenting on the morality of the action itself; that's a whole different discussion. But now, more than fifty years after the war, I believe it should be depicted with more humility rather than as one of America's finest moments. After all, tens of thousands of Japanese civilians died in that war for no other reason than that they lived in the cities that were bombed by the US.

Finally, whenever a film based on a historical event is released, there are people who believe that they have actually learned something from the film and know more about the events depicted than they had before. A lot of reviewers on this very page make such comments. I would bet that virtually all of them have never read about Pearl Harbor. In this day and age, everyone should be a little more media savvy. Movies are NOT HISTORY! They are ENTERTAINMENT! None of you have learned ANYTHING from this film, with the possible exception of those who were not even aware that Japan ever attacked us. I would venture to say that you probably know LESS about the event now than you did before since most of you don't have enough independent knowledge of WWII to evaluate the film' content to seperate what is true from what is false..

Summary: The Best!
Review: I had been waiting to see this movie since I saw the previews, and I knew that Mr. Bays and Mr. Bruckheimer do films that are sensitive to the ears and eyes, (little or no profanity or cheap shots).I laughed , I cried, sometimes uncontrollably. I believed the scenes were very real and captured the hysteria and shock that our countymen and women found themselves on that fateful morning. It was the worst of times but in a strange way it was a romantic time, because our country was still in love with the pride of family, country and God. I was so disgusted and hurt to see the ratings of a movie that I will always remember as one of the greatest of this decade. ....As for the love story, I loved it more than I can say. I fell in love w/ both young men and thought the gal was a doll. I want to see it over and over.... I have told everyone of this great movie. My special thanks to Bruckheimer and Bays, and please make many, many, more of your films. Patsy R. Bates

Review: If you like Ben Afflect and Josh Harnett there is no reason why you wouldn't give this movie a 5 star ratting. If you don't like Ben Afflect adn Josh Harnett there is some really good acting and the sound is so cool that goes with the music. Try it. THis movie is way better than Titanic. This movie PEarl Hrbor isn't all about romance either. Ferom watcihgn this movie i also learned a lot abotu what happened in that war.

Summary: A super production of Michael Bay
Review: This super production of Michael Bay, goes back us to the time from the attack to Pearl Harbor in 1941, in which we can see the impressive adaptation made by the director of the original history of the war, with the drama of a romantic history, that surely had captured the heart of all the spectators. It is also impressive to see, as the director return 60 years behind and it immortalized, the scenarios, objects and characters that were framed in the history like American heroes. A great performance on the part of the cast, an excellent production and mainly a good script. And let us hope Pearl Harbor leaves the dark shadows of the Pacific seas, to receive rewards in hollywood for the prizes oscars.

Summary: Pearl Harbor is NO BOMB!
Review: Touching, romantic drama set during the horrific backdrop of Pearl Harbor. Although the war scenes play a relatively small part (time wise) in the overall movie, I thought they did an excellent job portraying the horror and mayhem that insued during the unexpected attack. All the characters were strong and likable which intensified the sense of loss. Two thumbs up.

Summary: lack of respect!!!!!
Review: Even though I'm not American, I still think that this tragic part of american history has treated with disrespect. The love story is as corny as it gets, and the movie delivers informations about the incident that don't even go beyond a 5th grade history books. Wanna see a good movie about Pearl Harbor? Watch TORA!TORA!TORA!
