Summary: The Best!
Review: Band of Brothers is the finest work ever done in motion pictures. This is mandatory viewing for the Generation X and Y who did not comprehend the human achievment and personal sacrafice on an entire generation. Congrats to Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. HBO should be recognized as the leader in their field.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: HBO's "From the Earth to the Moon" was the reason I bought my first DVD player, now HBO came through again with "Band of Brothers". This is THE definative war movie to remember the sacrifices of our greatest generation. In the realistic presentation of war, it gives you a multitude of characters based on real life heros, and, staying true to reality, these same heros live and die before you on screen. Some charactors develope more than others, simply because of fact that casualties in war do not discriminate between the liked and disliked, the brave or the cowards, the competent or the incompetent. Even my wife, who doesn't care for war movies, got entranced by the story. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD. I think this DVD will outsell Saving Private Ryan, even if it costs three times or four times as much. I do feel sorry for those who did not get the chance to experience this movie because of the lack of HBO.

Summary: Unforgetable
Review: I learned a lot by watching this mini-series (and reading the book). First I would like to thank Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg for making such an entertaing and thought provoking moving picture. It has since sparked an interest in me to learn more about WWII. The acting was superb. I laughed at times and at other times could feel the lump in my throat getting bigger. I truly cared about these characters. And knowing that real people, ordinary people, went through this made it all the more touching. In light of recent national events it takes something like this to remind us all what our forefathers went through to make this country what it is....I NEED THIS SERIES IN MY DVD COLLECTION!!

Summary: A powerful story of American citizen soldiers
Review: I was fascinated by the beautiful cinematic storytelling about the 101st Airborne, surely one of America's finest military units. While presenting an unrelenting depiction of the horrors of combat, the story also showed the human side of the ordinary men who were welded into a fighting force that literally saved the world.
We owe everything to those guys and to the others who fought that war.
I have since read the book, and it is exceptional as well.

Summary: Gritty & Good
Review: I'm really looking forward to the DVD release of BOB. It was an excellent mini-series w/ accompanying documentary, and it should rate a place of honor in anyone's video collection. Now, if they would only put COMBAT! on DVD, I'd be a happy camper.

Summary: Excellent Mini series
Review: I was glued to my TV every Sunday night wondering what was next for the 506th...great series about a truly brave group of American soldiers in WWII.
Hanks & Spielberg are to be commended for bringing their story to us.

Summary: Never thought I'd watch it
Review: My husband dragged me into watching Band of Brothers. Between my grandfather, a doughboy in WWI who received a very unhealthy dose of mustard gas; my dad, a Navy man in WWII and Korea; my "ex" and Bob being Vietnam vets; and now the nightly news, I really didn't think I could deal with it. What I found was myself totally involved and waiting for the next episode and wishing I had asked more questions from Dad and Grandpa before they died. The fact that so many of the members of Easy Company were able to contribute to this series and Tom Hanks' commitment that their story be told was a constant reminder that this was real. It was also aired at a time when many younger Americans may have needed to be reminded that our freedom was never a "given". Many men and women paid the ultimate price for our way of life and many more will. This is a series we will watch again and again.

Summary: Anyone that doesnt give this series 5 stars is insane
Review: Man, this mini-series was excellent. It really stunk having each episode a week after the next. The whole next week, your sitting there waiting to see what will happen next. Although I'm not even close to being the age of when it happened, according to a lot of people ive talked to, its a pretty accurate protrayl of what happened. Excellent show, i cant wait to buy it on DVD.
