Summary: Gundam Wing-Can't get enough
Review: Okay, I got this set for Christmas, and man, I love it. I was greatly saddened when Gundam Wing was removed from Toonami's Programing. This was the first anime series that I really enjoyed, and I still hadn't seen all the episodes. Well, I have finished them all, and I am very pleased.

Lacking the silly faces of Tenchi or Trigun, and not as outrageously "extreme" as Dragon Ball Z, it has a very serious animation style. No pink hair here! And the plot takes place in a future without alien invasions and hyperdrives, which is refreshing to me.

The character developement is interesting, with a wide cast of characters, each with their own feelings and motivations. The plot flows quite well, and the characterization is such that all the characters' actions are believable. While it does have some flaws, I couldn't in good consciene lower the score. I loved watching it.

Summary: One of the Greatest Animes ever
Review: Some say this isn't true to the other Gundam series, but I must say this is the best of all the series. The Gundams are the best looking of any series, the characters are unique and you come to love them all. The relationships between the various characters is well done. Zechs is just an awesome character. The five gundam pilots are just too cool. This is one of my favorite animes of all time. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is new to anime.

Summary: The Best Anime Of All Time
Review: Ok, I might be streching it when I say it's the best anime of all time but its the best anime i've seen. It is the best Gundam series out of all 14, at least that's how many I think there are.
Start with the animation, its terrific. The Gundams look 3-D and the characters look real.
The plot is also amazing. It may seem unbelieveable but somehow the creators pulled it off. I laughed and cried in some spots.
I just started watching it on Cartoon Network when it premered and loved it. I would watch all of the episodes on DVD one day start to finish if i had the time. Watch this anime NOW, or "Omae o kouserou". (Its a famous Heero Yuy saying)

Summary: *yay* My new obsession!!
Review: This is a really brilliant series. There is a good plot AND character development, however the plot is very political and can be quite confusing, and so quite a lot of people bash Gundam Wing simply because they don't understand what is happening. I'm not going to go into the plot because it is a bit involved to explain to someone without them watching the series (believe me, I've tried). I will say this - if you take a look around the internet there are many, many fan sites and also a lot of character-bashing sites, and it can get a bit confusing since they all seem to disagree with each other about the relationships of the Gundam pilots and their personalities. I have to say, I agree very much with Lorrayne's review - I became interested in Gundam Wing through reading fanfiction on the internet, and I was very suprised that Heero said other things apart from "Omae o korosu" (I'm going to kill you). In fact, the characters are more well-rounded than they are made out by a lot of people:

Heero is quiet and kinda grumpy (in a cute way!!), but he does laugh and smile and occasionally speaks to people normally (notably Duo *grin*). He does however want to kill Relena a lot of the time... unfortunately he never manages it. (Yes, I don't like Relena.)

Duo is often hyper but he does show his darker side as Shinigami sometimes, and is obviously very committed to his mission.

Trowa is quiet and stoic but does show love for his sister Cathy and fellow Gundam pilot Quatre through his devotion to protecting them (and he does smile sometimes!!).

Quatre is kind but can be tough and take command if needed - for example when he leads the other pilots using the Zero system, and when he tries to persuade Dorothy Catalonia that her ideals are wrong during his fight with her.

Wufei doesn't always spout on about injustice, although I feel he is probably the weakest character, and his personality doesn't change too much over the course of the show.

The supporting charcaters also have their own little quirks, from Zechs Marquise the Lightning Count / Milliardo Peacecraft with his mask and different identities, to Relena Peacecraft his sister who is scarily obsessed with Heero until she fully takes on the responsibility of maintaining peace throughout the universe, and from Dorothy Catalonia (my favourite character!) who loves war and fighting to Lady / Colonel Une who has split personality disorder and alternates between calm, peaceful lady and cold-blooded soldier.

I advise you to also buy "Endless Waltz" and the Gundam music CDs - the songs "Just Wild Beat Communication" and "Rhythm Emotion" are my particular favourites, and all the character songs are really good too!! Anyway, this was a great buy because it means I can stop recording them off TV and then re-recording over them the next night, and the next night, etc.

PS - If you like Gundam Wing you will probably also like Outlaw Star - the boxed set of that is a good buy too.

Summary: Gundam wing from a fan
Review: I personally love gundam wing, but i like thought heavy movies, shows, and the like, though for others it can get dull.(the clerk at the store i got the DVDs said "i saw the first episode.it was just, space battle, space battle,POLITICS!") overall if the mecha battales are good enough for you (and they should be) they alone will keep dragging you thourgh the storyline, but also the desire to find out more, find out what happens will pull you in. if you're not shallower than a kiddie pool, than watching it once (all the way from episode one to endless waltz) than you will go back to try to understand all the subplots.or you can get this and fast forward to the awesome battles

Summary: Blast Off Into Space
Review: A really excellent series. One of the latest franchise in the Gundam universe. This series is about four pilots Herro,Duo,Quatre, and Wufie. It also has characters like Relena Dorlian(Peacecraft), Treiz, and etc.
The animation in this is top notch and there is a lot to go for in this set. Tuns of futuristic science and action plot. Not a dull moment. The music is also real good as well. Totally worth to spend the money on.

Summary: One of the Best Gundams Ever
Review: Gundam Wing probably one of the best gundams ever. i recomend buying the set because you get more bang for your buck 50 episodes for the price of some 26 episode animes. the story was pretty decent but it follows most of the basic guidlines for the majority of gundam shows i.e. dropping space colony onto earth gundam(s) have to stop it. what i like about this show is the almost non stop action pace it has and the 5 gundam pilot characters are bad ass guys. i think the animation was decent and fit the series it wasn't breathtaking but it was at least better than trigun. i would recomend this show over most previous gundam shows especially 0080 (that ones awful so watch out for that one). I also enjoyed how the story was able to blend in some politics, romance, action, and some comedy into one show. The only downside to the series i saw was two episodes on disc 6 that are just summarizing what happened it's kinda nice to see if you forget what's happening and what happened but it's also kinda annoying because Releena narates (she's annoying you will see why when you watch the series). Overall gundam deserves the 5/5 because there wasn't enough of a draw back from the 2 episodes and releena isn't in the show enough to piss me off too much.

Summary: Rebuttal to Bad Ratings
Review: Gundam Wing is truly an amazing series. Some say that the plot moves way to slowly... but the same fans complain the plot is too complex and has too much stuff crammed into it. How can something crammed with action move slowly?

Character developement is extrodinary considering that it also has a plot. Unlike Ruroni Kenshin, which focuses mainly on character development in the Meiji Era, GW has both this, many prominent characters AND a plot. They seem unrealistic, but are they really? To me, Amuro is way too idealistic. Sure, you can compare this to... Relena, let's say. But she has insecurites and doesn't do things in the greatest way. She decides to put her whole nation at risk to Romefellar when declaring they are "neutral."

They say Duo is too happy, Wufei is too proud, Quatre is too nice and Trowa and Heero are too cold. Argument: This is only a perception drawn by fans. When I watched the series for the first time, (after reading a lot of fanfics) I was shocked that Duo wasn't reading hentai and Wufei wasn't ranting about justice every five seconds.

Another complaint is the mistiness of it all. As in it isn't clear all of the time. Well, all I can say for this is that THIS LEAVES ROOM FOR THOUGHT. Look at the 28,000 (not including crossovers) fanfics only on fanfiction.net.

"Even if you take away all weapons, you cannot stop war. You must change the hearts of the people." ~~Dorothy Catalonia

Summary: IT'S A GUNDAM!!!
Review: Oh, where do I start?! I've loved Gundam Wing since its first airing on the midnight run on Cartoon Network. Well, as much as a confused eight-year-old who can't understand if they're really cussing or if this one guy's name is a naughty word or why they all have such strange haircuts because it's really late and she was woken up by her dad and step-mom having sex in the next room but that braided guy sure is cute. But I rediscovered it awhile later (about the time that Pkoemon *gag* was first airing), and I fell in love all over again. I LOVE GUNDAMS!!! This series is really great for anyone, guys or girls. It's got a great plot with nice characters that really have emotions. And for yaoi/yuri fans (which I am one of both categories), this series can be taken as boys' love and girls' love. It's incredibly adorable and stays with you. In conclusion, it's great, buy it now! Gimme big robots, gimme kawaii bishounen...gimme Gundam Wing and I am one happy fangirl! ^^
