Summary: at last - more than meets the eye...
Review: Hello everybody, I've waited for a comeback of this series long time. i have the whole set on vhs (poorly taped) but now Me and my friends can enjoy it digitaly on DVD, i don't like highlights, or best of- kind of DVD's, and a seasonal boxed set is very refreshing. I hope the next two seasons'll follow shortly.
The first season is very nice with the G1 Transformers. they're not that many (unlike G2) but very loveble.
later on we get intruduced with more robots on both sides - The Dinobots from one side and the constructicons on the other.

Overall this set is very worthwhile, get it....

Summary: UNBELIEVABLE!
Review: Like everyone else, I obvioulsy haven't seen the TRANSFORMERS boxed set yet, but even with NO extras this would be an essential 5-star buy. Unlike the RHINO videos which featured episodes in no discernable order (including too many stinky post-movie instalments), here we get the SUPERB, AMAZING and GORGEOUS first season in it's entirity & with stunning digital clarity. Over the top? No way! This show shaped my youth in so many ways that to watch them again is like meeting a long lost relative.
Hats off to RHINO for answering the call of so many TRANSFORMER fans, both young and old. I'm 31 and still enjoy the 'robots in disguise' - I hope season 2 will soon follow and that my other favourite SUNBOW cartoon, GI JOE, receives the box-set treatment too.

Summary: Still great
Review: God, I feel old(even though I'm only 25). I can remember this show from late Primary to Early High School years. I remember the titanic struggle between the Heroic Autobots and the Evil Decepticons. Remembering being wowed by every episode, the way they could change from vehicles and robots and vice versa. The storeies. It was great. I lost count as to how many of the toys I had as a result.
Even now, I still feel a sense of wonder when I watch reruns whenever they appear. So I am happy that they are being released on DVD.

Summary: A taste of animated nostalgia...
Review: Growing up as a kid in the 80's, we were privy to many animated tv shows. There was Voltron, He-Man, GI Joe, and the subject of this review, the Transformers...it was great to get home after school and sit down to a couple of hours of cartoon entertainment.
Now here we are in the new millenium, and we have the first season of Transformers on DVD which includes 16 episodes of Autobots and those evil Decepticons. One of the fondest memories I have was the sound of the robots transforming. Hearing this again brought back some great memories. Rejoice if you were a fan, and prepare for a ride back into the 80's...

Summary: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Review: Ok, the fact that I can even remember the Transformers first season must show people how much I loved that cartoon. How I have hoped for this day, and now... All I have to say is that no cartoon will ever come close enough to touch the glory of the Transformers. This will be a classic for all time! Now if they would just get a Thundercats and Silverhawks season collection, I would be happy...

Summary: The Originals Are Back And Better Than Ever!!!!
Review: It is finally time that the original series that started it all has returned to its greatness. Every fan of the series (you know who you are) should jump to own this special set of Transformers and Rhino needs to release the entire series including the Japanese Headmaster Episodes, Masterforces, and Hero Special.

Finally everyone can stop bidding for lousy VHS collections of Transformers on Tape and can now own them as they should be viewed restored for DVD with all special features. BUY THIS NOW!!!!

Summary: unbelievable
Review: i am able to give this set a full 5-stars even before it is released. why? i totally love the first generation of transformers. i even bought off [internet company] the episodes in real-movie format, and you know how [unsatisfactory] the quality of such stuff could be... no matter how 'faulty' this dvd set might be, i believe that at the very minimum it would allow me to re-watch the episodes as they were screened so many years back, and if that criteria is met, well, to me it deserves the full 5 stars already.

Summary: The Best Cartoon of All Time
Review: I remember the Saturday mornings when I was a child, there was nothing I looked forward to more than seeing this show, and now I am overjoyed at seeing it make a comeback after all of these years. To be able to watch Optimus Prime and Megatron battle it out again after all these years. I do not think that there has been a more enjoyable cartoon released to date. I have preordered a couple sets, one for me and one for my brother, and can only hope that Rhino will release the other seasons, and maybe if they have enough success from this might release other cartoons such as GI Joe in a similar format. Buy your copy and let Rhino know that you love it.

Summary: Transformers
Review: There are no words for what I think about this Ultimate DVD set.
Transformers are and will be apart of me. This set brings the kid in me out. Just in time for the new comics and all. If you like transformable robots like Gundam. These are the next best in USA. Transformers are just timless. I will enjoy my DVD's and hope you like them as well. "Transformers: More Then Meets The Eyes."
