Summary: Very good anime!
Review: This is a very good anime. I have watched all the episodes in Japanese with English subs and I liked them a lot. At first the story is a little slow, something happens on the ship and then there is a little story, then some bad guys come and they have to fight. Almost all the episodes up to 8 are like this. After 8 it becomes more exciting and there is better action.

One of the reasons I like this series is because it always has something funny in it that will make you laugh. Anyone who thinks that this series is just another Gundam Wing is wrong. This anime is much better than Gundam Wing. It does have robots fighting is space, but this anime has a much better story and all the characters don't act so strange.

The only thing I did not like about this anime is that it is only 13 episodes long. I really hope that they make a third stage.

Summary: A good series without the confusion
Review: This series remains on my top 10 list of anime titles, and rightfully so.

Have you ever seen something like LAIN or EVA and you were just plain confused? I like them to an extent, but I believe if a series makes you think TOO much then it won't be as effective. This series deals with views of life and evolution, with action and comedy mixed in very effectively.

This series actually has something for every kind of anime fan, even for those who are first-time anime watchers. For the mech/robot action fans this will suit your taste quite well. Some of the best mechs I've seen have come from this series and are all 3-D CG. The Gundam series doesn't even hold a candle to it. For those looking for good stories and plot, every episode is an adventure in itself. You'll laugh, cry, get angry, all in this one series. And for those who would like to poke fun at gender differences, this will perhaps be to your liking as well.

Every so often an anime series comes to change the way you think about things, and this has been one of mine. It was worth every penny.

Speaking of which, I better have a rundown on the DVD contents. The menus are quite good - very imaginative and eye-appealing. Extras include testless openings and original TV spots and promotions (however unfortunately not translated for those who do not speak Japanese). Pioneer takes full advantage of DVD video as the video picture is almost flawless. The only thing that I would have to complain about is the choice of English voice casting, but that can be easily avoided by switching to subtitles and the Japanese track.

Strap yourselves in, Vandread's gonna take you for quite a ride!

Summary: I LOVE this series!
Review: Vandread has got to be my favorite anime series of all time, and I have seen countless others. The story is fun, the characters are likable, and the animation is top-notch. The CG battles are absolutely jaw-dropping, and the character designs are great. I own all four DVDs of the first series, and have spent the last few months practically biting my nails in anticipation of this release. This is a great series, and I think that every sci-fi fan should give it a try.
