Summary: It should have 5 stars but for the...........
Review: I love sailormoon, and the story's great, I personaly felt that it would diserve a 5 stars but, and this is a big but, I live in England, and the Enlish backing sound and the voice's are redubbed for England (well i'm assuming this as Sailormoon S was so different).

I think that the American voice and backing sound track are appaling. Serena's voice makes her sound an idiot (and shes dim enough already by most people's standards) the tranformation music is cringe worthy, like it's been taken from a 70's super hero program. I won't let anyone be in the room when I watch it, as I was too embarrased to let them hear it.

This is not to say that the graphics and animation aren't up to scratch because they are, the story line comes along like normal, that is to say one episode in four adds something significant to the plot.

Admittedly this makes it sound like I hate it and I don't, I just can't stand the dubbing. I actual fact I really love it, this is why I brought the DVD, I just didn't want to wait for Sailormoon S to show in Britain.

Summary: A relief from the awful English Dub
Review: This is one of the best things the Pioneer could have done. The english dub is horrible so if you know of the original or want to learn about it, this is the item for you! A warning for some of you people who are "sensitive" to some kinds of things such as nudity, which is brief and very-little detail, and homosexual relationships. The two characters Haruka, (Sailor Uranus) and Michiru, (Sailor Neptune) are lesbians, so I thought I should say that just in case you are not comfortable with those types of situations. If you really want to own this season but are uncomfortable, I suggest you but the english dubbed VHS, but if you truly want the best out of your money, I say you buy the DVD or the uncut subbed VHS, if you don't have a DVD player. If you have any more questions about this DVD and the others to come, e-mail me at Jupiter-4@sailormoon.com

Summary: Sailor Moon Super The Best Period !!
Review: Sailor Moon is the best anime series ever made. Moreover Sailor Moon Super series is the best and most adventurus of all the series of Sailor Moon.I had been waiting for the DVD for two months, today i took it and i am very excited about it.The reason i rated the DVD with 4 stars is the sound. The sound is mono and it is not what you usually expect from a DVD. I hope the following Volumes will have better sound. I fully recommend it to everyone who likes Sailor Moon as i do.

Summary: Sailor Moon S: heart collection I
Review: well being a HUGE sailor moon fan i have a lot to say about this, and having this being the first sub i ever saw i can honestly say that it is a lot better than the dubs. Usagi, Rei, Ami, Makoto, Minako, and Mamoru (serena, ray, amy, lita, mina amd darien) have found a new enemy. the evil doctor tomoe has his eye set on three talismans which are within three pure heart crystals. when Usagi can't transform that presents a problem. Also two mysterious scouts appear, later revealed as uranus and neptune. there is a lot in this one, new scouts and attacks and transformations. enemy beware because sailor moon is here to punish you with a new attack!

Summary: Sailor Moon S - Heart Collection 1 DVD
Review: Since I don't understand Japanese, the subbed version of these S series episodes provides by far the best and closest SM viewing experience to the original Japanese release (as has the Pioneer DVD movie releases) for me.

However, I have a cavil about the sound quality. I hear a significant amount of 'wow' in the soundtrack in many places, which is surprising given the state of technology today. I say this because I have about half the Sailormoon S series on original Japanese laserdisc where the sound is very much more stable on my Pioneer LD player (this is important for getting the full effect of the musical soundtrack across, IMO). This is the main reason why I'm not giving this DVD release a full 5 stars.

I'd like to briefly comment on the Haruka/Michiru relationship, which is to me a nonissue. IAC, I read somewhere that Haruka's original incarnation in the Golden Millennium was as a male where he was Michiru's lover, but due to a unique set of circumstances, and since Sailor Senshi can only be female, his present form is as a female. See? Problem solved.

I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming S and SS releases by Pioneer. But, fix that wow problem!

Summary: The Uncut Series Dominates Again!
Review: Although I have seen the uncut and dubbed version of the S series, I have not seen this DVD yet, so I don't know if they cut some scenes in the unedited version (I imagine they did)...

Sailor Moon's S (or Super) series is a continued saga from the R (Romance) episodes.

After the Black Moon (or NegaMoon, if you're a dubbie) was destroyed, the girls (Usagi, Rei, Ami, Makoto, and Minako) start to study for their High School Entrance Exams. (If I'm not mistaken, in the Japanese saga, Rei never had to study, she got into HS without the exams, seeing it was a private school, but she still helps the girls study at her place anyhow) While they are studying, a strange woman appears in a red dress after talking to a strange scientist named Professor (or Doctor) Tomoe with a daimon (the monsters from the S series) that she plants in a tree. Rei, meditating, goes to place a piece of paper (a charm) onto the Charm Tree, and the moment she touches it, the Daimon appears and attacks Rei, extracting a small diamond like crystal from her chest. Usagi (Serena) and Luna hear Rei screaming and she transforms. After an attempt at destroying the monster, Sailor Moon is knocked against a tree, and her brooch is bitten from her chest. It appears Usagi and the other Senshi are in trouble! When out of no where, a sphere of blue and orange lights come from a thick forest, destroying the Daimon. Rei, still laying on the ground, has her heart crystal examined by the strange girls that saved the scouts. She puts the crystal back in and Rei is all better :)! It appears it was a close call this time, but without her power, can Sailor Moon depend on the strength of the two new Senshi (scouts) to defend them!? Get this DVD and FIND OUT!!!

Summary: No need for warnings!
Review: There may be confusion or hate on the part of some of this subtitled Sailor Moon series, but please form your own opinion. Yes, Michiru and Haruka (Sailors Uranus and Neptune) are lovers, but please keep an open mind about it, it only strengthens the series, and the development of the characters of the series. One thing I wonder is that why nobody is causing much controversy of the Usagi/Mamoru (Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask) relationship... They're made in the same way, two people in love who share a common mission. About the series, this is the only entire Sailor Moon subtitled series I have seen, (Fansubs are a true gift from the sky) but I'm sure this will remain my favorite, it's extremely emotional, exciting, and humorous, and the characters have much depth to them. Please keep an open mind!

Summary: I can't wait for the rest of them!
Review: We're finally able to see SM the way it was intended to be seen -- uncut and unedited. No longer do we need to rely on the American version in order to enjoy one of the best anime series ever created. I have been waiting for this to come out for a very long time and now that time has come. It is a shame, though, that we will not be able to get the first 2 seasons (SM & SMR) uncut and unedited...The music, the storyline, the characters -- everything is wonderful. Guess you could say that I like it a lot, huh?

Summary: SM S
Review: Well I think I got the uncut version, but it just might be how the english dubbing is going, because it has the uncut opening/closing, and titling. I haven't seen anything different though from when I watched it on CN, and in episode 6, it was said that the two new scouts where cousains. So will see if anything different shows up later.

Over all it is still a good series, though my favorite is still the first season, which I do hope gets released on dvd uncut so I can see all the parts they cut for time, and the missing episode they cut all together near the end.
