Summary: I went to a sappy love story and a war broke out
Review: 2 hours of sappy drivel with brief intermissions of the war. I wouldn't waste your time unless you like these kind of movies. Definitely not for any history or action movie buffs.

Summary: Know what you're getting into B-4 you go!
Review: All I can say is this movie was over three hours long, and 70% of it was a very sluggish and unrelated love triangle that took entirely too long to blossom. I was really excited about this movie and must say I left the theater slightly irritated with the product they delivered. Very little wartime detail was given, and what was given was not explained in the kind of detail I was anticipating. I went to see a movie about Pearl Harbor. Instead I saw a very tedious, boring, lovers lament type story that left me unfulfilled. A better title would have been "A love story at Pearl Harbor" or "Even in War there can be Love" or something other than "Pearl Harbor" because this movie focused on a (lacking at best) love triangle, not war. It's obvious to me that this was an attempt to "copy" the success of Titanic using the same idea of a love story. It missed. Know what you're going to see before you go, and the movie will more "enjoyable".

Summary: Cinematic Tripe
Review: Unless I'm incredibly surprised, "Pearl Harbor" will be the worst film of 2001. Hands down. The acting is wooden, the script is horridly predictably and stilted, and even the supposedly fantastic action sequence is unsatisfying. Everything in this film dripped of contrived, Hollywood schmaltz- and it stunk. Clocking in at over three hours, this film seemed endless. Here is a Pearl Harbor haiku: "Fell asleep again--I missed most of the movie--I am rejoicing"

Summary: I loved this movie
Review: Personally, I judge movies based on their ability to move me, whether it be to tears or laughter. "Pearl Harbor" incited both while providing rather accurate historical information. I have a penchant for long, sad movies, so this one fit me perfectly. Even if this decription does not fit you, Pearl Harbor is a movie that has the ability to touch the human spirit and remind people of the date that will live in infamy. I highly recommend seeing this movie at least once.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE!!!
Review: I thought this movie was fabulous. It got bad reviews but only historians who pick out every wrong detail would dislike it. It was so good. I am surprised that the reviews said its romance was shallow cause I thought it was really deep and good. I didn't know how the romance part of the story was going to end. The action part of the movie was great too! It all looked so real. It may have been about three hours long but it seemed like two minutes because I was captivated by the movie every second. The soundtrack was great too. Every part of this movie was fabulous. I really recommend you see it!

Summary: Pearl Harbor is a bomb.
Review: It is sad that I have to write this, but the director should have done some more research before doing this movie. There is no explaination why Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The messages that Admiral Kimmel receives in the movie were never sent by Washington. The scenes with the p-40s in the fighting scenes with the Zero fighters were not real. The Doolittle raid the B-25s were not flying in formation and bombing one target in Tokyo, but flew on to seperate targets and bombed several Japanese cities. I feel sorry for young Americans watching this movie thinking they are watching history.

Summary: Pearl Harbor
Review: Battle/war scenes are excellent. Although Ben Affleck pulls off a believable romantic character, the love story is a little sappy. Good performances from all three main characters. Entertaining, overall worth seeing.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever!
Review: I thought this movie was incrediable! It was so powerful and depressing. It was a great love story but also a tragic real-life event. Besides, Josh Hartnett and Ben Afleck are the cutest boys on the screen.

Summary: Great Special Effects!
Review: The movie itself was a little mushy, almost like Titanic. Just like Titanic, the movie was centered around a love story. Don't get me wrong, the movie was awesome, with some of the best effects I have ever seen in a movie. The love story was an unnecessary part that just added to the 3 hour movie. Also, after the attack on Pearl Harbor the movie goes on into some other raid over Japan, which was kind of long. It was good, you just expected that the movie was over after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The attack itself is about 40 minutes long with unbelievable special effects. I would recommend that you go see it.

Summary: Wonderful and Action Packed
Review: "Pearl Harbor" is this summers #1 film. All of its cast members shine! Kate Becanstale and Josh Hartnett give amazing preformances. The special affects and none stop action sequence will keep your on the edge of your seat for a good 45 minutes. "Pearl Harbor" also has some of the most beautiful music in a film I have ever heard. This film will warm the hearts of all who see it and I am sure it will become a film classic.
