Summary: An American Classic
Review: Some of Harrison Ford's best work. Great comic moments by both Ford and Sean Connery in the third installment. Great to watch in their digitally remastered condition.

Summary: This belongs on a DVD...
Review: While it won't cause you to reexamine your views of the world, this is a wonderfully assembled action film. Easily the best of the series, it is a thoughtful tribute to 1930's American action serials and film noir.
Note to Steven Speilberg - bring out the DVD soon!

Summary: One of the greatest. . . PERIOD!
Review: I dunno if a 12 year old is fit to judge a movie anymore, other than the marketability of the various merchandise to be sold off it. This movie for its time and all time set the standard for everything else since. Without this movie, kid you wouldn't be seeing anything like you're seeing today. It will be a must for anyone with an smart action movie mentality.

Summary: I have to agree...
Review: ...with the guy from Israel. This movie flat out stinks. "Exciting" things in this movie happen only maybe once every 20 minutes. The rest is just talk and before you know it, the movies over. Unsatisfying film if I've ever seen one.

Summary: The best Harrison Ford movies ever
Review: I was too young to appreciate Indiana Jones when they debuted, but my father recently introduced me to them, and they are now some of my favorite movies. They have all of the ingredients of a perfect movie: action, suspense, romance, drama, and slight humor. The first one, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", is the best but I really think all of them are fantastic. If you haven't seen these movies, you need to rent them right away. They are American classics and are right up there next to (or maybe even above...) Star Wars.

Summary: Harrison Ford's finest hour!
Review: the Indiana Jones Trilogy is one that is not to be missed. In my opinion this is Harisson Ford's best acting done in these 3 movies. Well maybe a tie between Star Wars. These films have non-stop good action that kids at all ages can watch and be enteratined. Even though I do not support VHS, and I wish this would be on DVD, I have to endorse the widescreen version of this. Paramount has done a good job producing the widescreen edition. Buy this giftset, while it lasts!

Summary: Unsurpassable action and excitement!
Review: It must have been years ago since I saw these movies in the theaters. I don't remember any details, being I was 5 in 1981, 8 in 1984, and 13 in 1989, but I remember vividly what an exhiliariting experience it was. What is so great about the INDIANA JONES series, and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK in particular (since it was the best of the three), is that it was such an affectionate tribute to the SATURDAY MATINEE SERIALS of the 1950's. In all three films we have Harrison Ford perfect as Indiana Jones, a tough, unpredictable action hero who hates Nazis (even more than that - snakes!), loves beautiful women, never loses his hat, and with every trap he gets into, gets in and out without a scratch (almost)! That is a classic example of what an action hero must be! Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are complete genuises to present to us this entertainment. Like I said, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK is the best. Yes we all know the story. Adventurer Indiana Jones and heroine Marion Ravenwood are after the lost Ark of the Covenant, which is believed to possess supernatural powers, and they must get it before the Nazi Army does. There's poisonous snakes, airplane fights, truck chases, and fist punches galore - in short, excitement, entertainment, romance, and edge-of-your-sear suspense all in one package - INGENIUS! I am somewhat tolerant about INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. I liked Kate Capshaw as the spoiled brat, ever-screaming heroine, and Ke Huy Quan as the Asian sidekick, but who I thought was excellent was Amrish Puri as Mola Ram, the High Priest of the Thuggee Cult. He was perfect in the role. He was commanding, menacing, and scary. It's almost as if he was mistaken for playing a monster in a Universal Horror Film of the 1930's or 1940's. I don't know any of his other screen credits, but as inferior as TEMPLE OF DOOM may be, I say two thumbs up for actor Amrish Puri, he was great! One more thing, watch out for the fire pit and the tunnel full of bugs - and the sacred Sankara Stones! TEMPLE OF DOOM has its' ups and downs, but I very much liked that it was a darker, more complex chapter in the series. I mean, come on, George and Steven were just having fun - please, let's forgive them. Finally we have INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE. It was a joy to see Julian Glover (also General Veers in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK) as the villain. I was not too fond of Alison Doody, but she did give a fine performance as the traitorous, later greedy Elsa Schneider. Sean Connery was great as always, as Indiana Jones, Sr. There's more Nazis, a sewer full of...RATS!, boat chases, a battle on a colossal tank, and finally the quest for the Holy Grail. A satisfactory third film, but not as good as RAIDERS. What more can I say? A great collectible to your Home Video Library - BUY IT NOW!

Summary: Inspiration for becoming an Anthropologist! My Hero.....
Review: I can honestly say that these films changed my life. When "Raiders of the Lost Ark" came out, I went to see it with a group of other youngsters, followed by a visit to a local Museum that was displaying a Mummy in a glass case. That day decided my future! I had the Indiana Jones Action Figure and everything. These movies inspired me to grow-up and become involved with Anthropology. I have always studied the subject on my own and I am attempting to go to school for a degree...then move on to Egyptology. Of course, real-life is not as exciting as these action-packed films, but it is just as Mentally Stimulating as the Indiana Jones series! These movies are not only thought-provoking and Fun, but they represent the beginnings of the "Special Effects" revolution in the movie Industry. There is absolutely no doubt that these movies are Classics & I place the boxed set on my "Top-Ten" list. However, I must admit, the second movie: "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" fell-short of my expectations, after years of idolizing "Raiders"--yet, the third film: "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," more than made-up for the disappointment & restored my faith in the series! I had to own the Boxed Set, because I have spent enough money renting these movies, over the years, to pay for them several times! Save your money & buy the set now! This is Harrison Ford & Sean Connery, folks...you can't go wrong! I have heard rumors of a fourth movie in the works.... Could it be true?!
