Summary: Defines quality entertainment
Review: This trilogy defines quality entertainment. It just doesn't get any better than this in the art of making movies. I've placed my pre-order for the DVD set, it was an automatic move. Great great stuff.

Summary: Indiana Jones DVD's
Review: This complete set of the three movies plus extra bonus materials was completely OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!!!! That's easy for me to say because I love the movies, partly because my uncle is the main star in all of them ( that's the reason why I recieved this product when it isn't released to the public yet)! I am looking forward to the fourth movie, which is coming out in the summer of 2005, I can't wait!!

Review: These films are the reason I bought a dvd player! Raiders is by far my favorite movie of all time. Great story, great action, a realistic human hero, romance... It's got it all. The others are also good fun, but the first is the best! Harrison Ford at his peak. What are you waiting for... Buy it now! You know you want to!

Summary: Three great movies boxed in one!
Review: This movie trilogy is a threesome pack of three unforgettable action/adventure movies that feature our beloved archaeologist. All three of the movies are tremendous classics all in their own right. Each one of them are unique and different from each other. The outstanding scripts of George Lucas and the incredible directing of Steven Spielberg all combine to create a totally awesome movie trilogy.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK: This first entry in the movie series is probably the most loved of all the three. This one finds Jones going after a religious artifact called the Ark, while staying at least one step ahead of Nazi explorers and a rival archaeologist associated with them named Belloq, who are also after it. Marion Ravenwood was Jones' love in this movie. She was funny, and intelligent and sexy in a way because of her strong attitude. For me, I like rebellious women in action/hero movies. The villainous Toht was unforgettable, being played by the late Ronald Leacy who passed away ten years after this movie. Belloq was an awesome villain. They have no idea of what's in store for them when they get to the Ark's power. This is my favorite movie from 1981. There are some incredibly funny scenes too from time to time.

INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM: This second entry in the series is the most controversial of the three but for me, this is probably tied with the first one as my second favorite. This one brings Jones out of Nazi-controlled Germany to the dark underground caverns of a religious cult called the Thuggie Cult lead by Mola Ram. Jones' love though in this one was Willie Scott, a famous singer from Shanghai, China. Willie in my opinion was relatively irritating with her excessively helpless character but occasionally showed some toughness but overall was nowhere near as good as Marion was. 'Temple Of Doom' caused controversy with moviegoers saying that it was much more violent and negatively portrayed the Indians as bloodthirsty and hateful and then British come and save the day. To that, I say GARBAGE! European colonists killed numerous tribal populations during the past 500 years in North America (Native Americans, Aztecs), South America(Mayan, Brazilian tribes) and Australia(Aboriginals) so basically every nationality in the world has been the villain and the hero at different times. Don't listen to these detractors. About the more violent atmosphere, with movies that are loaded with extremely graphic content, this movie now is pretty much lightweight. Despite all the controversy, this movie was a winning successor to Raiders. The action scenes and funny lines made 'Temple Of Doom' every bit as entertaining as 'Raiders' was. Even Willie was funny at times too.

INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE: This is by far my favorite of the combo. This movie brings the series full circle back to the Nazi-controlled Germany on two missions: Find his missing father and also to find a religious artifact called the Holy Grail. Jones and his father Henry Jones Sr. now are on a dangerous quest to beat the Nazis and their leader Walter Donavan to the Grail before they get their hands on it and gain immortality but all of them have no idea of the powers that they are coming to grips with and also learn the price of immortality. This time though, the woman love is actually a villainess named Esla Scheider who is also associated with the Nazi's. Elsa is my opinion wasn't as strong as Marion was but was miles above Willie Scott in my opinion. Sean Connery and Harrison Ford play the best father/son movie duo that I've ever seen and I guess that one is never too old to be a hero. There are also a lot of humorous lines interwoven within the action scenes too. We also see how Indiana got the fedora, whip and the scar. 'The Last Crusade' brought this dynamite movie trilogy to a top rate conclusion.

This is a fantastic movie gift set with three unforgettable classics. There is the possibility of a fourth Indiana Jones movie in the near future. If it does come to fruition, it's unlikely that Marcus Brody will be returning as Denholm Elliot who played him is now deceased but most of the rest of the permanent characters will return. Anyhow, this trilogy set is a marvelous purchase as you get all three of the movies all in one box. Now that's a hefty purchase!

Summary: One of the Best
Review: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not only one of the greatest adventure films of all time, it's one of the greatest period. I first saw this film in the theatre with my father when it came out. For the next two weeks, I was running around the house looking for buried treasure and trying to use a scarf as a whip. Few movies made today have this kind of staying power. If it were made today, it would be just as big, if not bigger then it was on it's original release date. There is nothing bad to say about it, Ford is perfect as is the rest of the cast. No other actor could have brought Dr. Jones to life as well as Harrison Ford did. Although it has not been released on DVD yet, I am holding my breath along with every other fan in the world and will be one of the first people in line to buy it when it is released. Anyone who enjoys the movie experience as much as I do will need to add this one to their collection.

Summary: Wow
Review: After "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back", Harrison Ford again began working with George Lucas, and what's new, they've got Steven Speilberg. Together, they created "Raiders of the Lost Ark," the first of the "Indiana Jones" movies.

In the early twentieth century, an arheologist and social studies professor, Dr. Indiana Jones (Ford), was called to invistigated the mystery of the Biblical Ark of the Covanent, and that's the beginning of Indy's zany, but exciting, adventures. Armed with only and hat and whip, he's setting out for the dangerous mission. But though he finishes the adventure, more trouble, meaning more excitement, comes to Indy! Now, he's found himself in India saving both the magical Shankara Stones and enslaved Hindu children from a mysterious cult. But there's more trouble to come, as Indy goes on a zany mission with his dad to find the lost Holy Grail!

You want action and humor? Well, the Indiana Jones movies are pack with those. They are both action and comedy, just like the "Star Wars" movies. Yes, they're old, and I was bored at some parts, but don't let that stop you. Just sit back a relax! This one should be on DVD.

Summary: I absolutely love this movie...
Review: I've got the VHS version and I love it. I hope that they don't edit out the funny little quirks in the movie when they make the DVD, the reflection of the snakes in the glass when Indy falls into the pit, the part where the fly crawls into the Nazi's mouth when he's talking. This is truly the best Indy movie, seeing as how Temple of Doom stunk and Last Crusade couldn't surpass it. It also has my favorite of Indy's love interests, Miriam. The girl in the second movie is prissy, annoying, and whiny, definitely not a worthy companion for Indy. The girl in the third movie turns out to be a weaselly Nazi who betrays him. Miriam, however, can keep up with her tomboy attitude and can hold her own in a fight. All in all an excellent movie, recommend it to anyone who likes Star Wars or James Bond films.

Summary: All time....
Review: To put it bluntly, when one asks me my favorite movie of all time, I immediately respond Raiders of the Lost Ark without hesitation. Waiting for the DVD if it ever comes to light.
