Summary: Why Release as a Trilogy??
Review: Raiders is definitely one of the best movies ever made - but why can't I just buy that movie alone? Sorry, but the other 2 in the trilogy fall far, far short of the first. I'd rather just buy Raiders and save myself the money.

Summary: Finally.
Review: Raiders is one of my all time favorite films. The sequels, while very entertaining, never were able to measure up to original. From the very first frame, where the Paramount logo melts into the mountain in the jungle, to the end, where the camera pans out of the storeroom, it was the perfect ride. And gee, melted Nazis - works for me. Maybe I won't be in a nursing home when they release Star Wars on DVD afterall.

Summary: Widescreen Action Delight
Review: Amazon has this set for the best price. I have shopped online and around at stores, but Amazon has them beat by at least $5.00. This is the best action/adventure series out there that the whole family can watch. I find it hard to believe there is a soul alive that hasn't seen them and loved them. If so here is a short synopsis.

1. The first movie starts out with a clever superimposing of the Paramount logo before a mountain in the movie. Indiana has to avoid traps in a South American temple and excape with a golden idol. He then tracks down a old girl friend and her father in Nepal for a relic to lead him to the Ark of the Covenant. He must search a tomb and then fight Nazis in order to try and retrieve it. God has the last word and the Nazis get a lesson in religion they won't forget. My favorite by far since there is so much here to enjoy.
2.Indiana goes to India and tries to help some villages recover their children and religious stones. Once again he travels around the world. It comes down to him as good against a evil cult leader that requires Indiana style convincing with some assistance from his small side kick, short round, and his girl friend. Oriented a little more towards kids with his sidekicks age, and lots of creepy bats, bugs, and a roller coaster ride in a mining car.
3. Indiana gets together with his dad to track down the Holy Grail. Once again the Nazis get in his way. The search takes us all over with great scenery and interesting story line of medieval and religious history. At first we are not aware of the clever female being involved with both son and father, but when we find out how. Well lets just say a fine sense of humor. Ford and Connery are great together. Indy travels all over to find clues to the grail's whereabouts. Indiana must avoid the traps of the tomb containing the Grail in order to save his fathers life, it is action packed to the last. The special effects in all these movies are great. Order them now!

Summary: What are we talking about?
Review: It seems that many of us have declined the values of past histories of movies from the "PAST". We dig into archives, fight nasty men who safeguard these things like they are the Maltese Falcon. The truth of the matter is, it is a very pleasurable movie watch, and a very pleasurable movie to enjoy. Extras when we go this level, need to exceptional, especially in a released trilogy, I have seen no such comments. I just see wind bags complaining about inferior films. Were the Sinbad films great in their time, most definitely. If you are going to review something, keep your mind in what genre you are viewing. Don't rate as a modern day viewer. Yes, I agree we should talk about extras, but don't complain about plots, or facts, heck, we were beyond our time, when did Science Fiction, Fantasy, Adventure become cream of the crop. They had to fight for it. The world was to naive. Relax and enjoy a stepping stone to the movie world we live in. Best Wishes.

Summary: AWESOME!!, it's about time
Review: Steven Spielberg and George Lucas's Indiana Jones Trilogy are the best adventure movies ever made. It's about time they're being released on DVD. I expect these DVD's to be a whole lot of fun to watch and explore.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first and best of the 3 films. The action is the best. The beginning scene where Indy adventures into a temple full of traps and is chased by a giant bolder is one of the best open scenes ever. The film is just a classic all the way.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a fun adventure to but is disapointing compared to Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's just gross mostly, with a dinner scene where bats and snakes are served as the main course and chilled Moneky brains are desert. The main villain is a crazed trible leader that looks like something out of a horror movie. Indy's love interest is an annoying self-centered women that just screams though the whole movie as well. It's Indy's relationship with his kid friend Short-Round that adds some charm to the movie. The action at the end is also great. Indy fights the lead villain while holding on for dear life to what's left to a bridge with a bunch of Crocodiles waiting for whoever falls. The movie is a classic in it's own right because many films such as the Scorpion King have stole ideas from it.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the most cartoonish of the 3 films. It's a lot of fun and the chemestry between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery as Father and son is great. The film's only weak point is that it has too much comedy. The other films had laughs but this one had too many. Indy looking for the Holy grail was a nice idea though. The key action scene is great as well where Indy fights a Nazi general on top of a moving tank.

All in all the Indiana Jones trilogy makes for very good entertainment. Them finally being on dvd will make them more fun to watch than they already are. I'm wondering how that's possible myself.

Summary: One thing though...
Review: Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favourite movie of all time. But to the people in charge: why the name change? For the sake of keeping it line with the packaging of the second and third movies. 'Indiana Jones AND THE Raiders OF THE Lost Ark' would not have been considered as the title when the film was made; why change it now? How about 'Luke Skywalker and his Star Wars'? It would never happen.

Still my favourite movie though...

Summary: Indiana Jones is the MAN!
Review: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is the DVD I've been waiting for! Harrison Ford is incredible in the role as Indiana. The scene shots are amazing and the action exciting. One of my top five movies.

Summary: A DVD EVENT - George Lucas & Steven Spielberg
Review: The worlds two finest filmmakers came together to create The Indiana Jones series - one of the greatest movie franchises of all time. Indy, named after George Lucas's dog (that also inspired Chewbacca) and dreamed up during a sandcastle making session on a Hawaiian beach, it became the ultimate action serial. There would be no Mummy or Tomb Raider without this series that inspired them all. This is pure movie magic. Raiders of the Lost Ark is truly one of the best films ever made. Get the widescreen version (replace your full screen VHS tapes), as the visual composition is preserved this way. This is the most anticipated DVD release to date- A must have!

Summary: It finally happens!
Review: What can I say; Indiana Jones on DVD? Sign me up NOW! I can retire my much viewed VHS tapes, and see it all on widescreen.
All of the praise that has been heaped on this trilogy is well deserved, and will be even better when viewed on DVD. With this set we not only get Raiders of the Lost Arc, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade, but a whole DVD filled with bonus material from George Lucas' shop of wonders.
This is way past due, and sure to get the center position on my mantle.
Trust me.
