Summary: Underated Brando movie is a gem
Review: Surreal motion picture about a plot to kidnap an heiress in France. I've read/listened to mixed reports for years about a film that just has an unusual atmosphere & direction to it & for my 10 cents worth I'll report that This movie,to me alone,is good & lots of fun because It has great acting in it aswell as the marvellous Marlon. That's why I bought it (i wish it were on DVD ,AMERICA...PLEASE!!!!). After having it in my collection for a while I can recommend it thoroughly,i always enjoy viewing it every few months or so.
You won't regret grapping a copy of this special film. Give it a go.

Summary: Brando, Boone make sordid tale interesting
Review: The Night of the Following Day is the story of four criminals who kidnap a rich girl(Pamela Franklin) upon her return to Paris. They take her to a beach house where she is held for ransom. Her captors include a washed up petty crook(Jess Hahn),his drug addicted sister(Rita Moreno), her boyfriend(Marlon Brando) and a sadist(Richard Boone). The film is very interesting, yet disturbing to watch at times due to the nature of the film. Watching Brando is fun. Its easy to see why he is one of the greatest actors of alltime. Boone is frightening as Leer, a big, unpleasent, wacko who is out for the double cross.I would highly recommend this film, but one should be warned that it is preety rough in spots and unsettling.Brando and Boone dominate the film.

Summary: brando in rare form
Review: this film is so good i almost forget that brando is wearing the worst hair-piece i've ever seen. rita moreno looks great, as she always does in these older movies. with the help of these two and others, this film acheives in the heist genre what most heist films made today do not.

Summary: One VERY early morning.
Review: Very thrilling movie about a kidnapping gone wrong. Great acting from Brando here & his X-flame Rita Moreno. Best not to give the whole story away & to just let it grow on you. I love the atmosphere of this picture...worth every cent for Brando's acting alone. Two thumbs up!

Summary: Brando and Boone lunge off the screen in taut thriller
Review: Yes, it is Brando -- lean as in Kowalski lean, sexy, fierce, winning and anti-heroic (our more than substantial reply to France's Belmondo); and Boone, the nastiest of heaviest -- snarly, bullying, craggy and thoroughly killable -- the film itself has a tightness one associates with John Frankenheimer -- splendidly un- to half-likeable characters (done to turn by Rita Moreno and Pamela Franklin, among others) and a script that bites; but it is Brando who holds us -- at his best he wasn't a contender . . . he was champ; get this film.
