Summary: Notting Hill
Review: Wonderful, and sweet. One of Julia Roberts best. Hugh Grant is great also. I love this movie.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: PLEASANT ROMANTIC COMEDY
Review: HUGH GRANT IS HILARIOUS AS ALWAYS & ALL THE OTHER BRITISH ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE ARE TOO. JULIA ROBERTS IS GOOD BUT SOME HOW I WOULD HAVE SEEN SOMEBODY ELSE FOR THIS ROLE.. MAYBE LISA KUDROW OR HELEN HUNT. GOOD ENTERTAINING MOVIE & A BIG BRAVO FOR ALL THE "SECOND" ACTORS.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: shaky ride, bumpy finish, sustainable, one time is way nuff
Review: Romantic... Well, romantic is unreal by definition, so unreality of both the story and the implementation was meant to be.

If you love fairy tales, you may as well enjoy this one too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great film you can watch over and over again
Review: This film has to be considered as one of my top 10 ever and a film you can watch many times over. The story is a simple one but the cast is excellent with great characters who bring out the best of the story. Put this together with the music and you have a great feel good movie. Highly recommended.

Summary: A great movie, with a unique twist
Review: I love to watch violent action movies, but I am still a sucker for the occasional good romantic comedy. I've seen several that don't quite cut it, but notting hill is an exceptional movie. From a guy's point of view, this movie is unique in that the woman (Julia Roberts) makes the initial mistake of treating the man [poorly], and then she has to come begging him to forgive her. Also, the supporting cast of quirky friends is excellent. Through them, you really get to know Grant's character.

Also, the fairy tale story of a movie star falling for an average guy keeps this movie from following the path of cliches that all other romantic comedies do.

Summary: Julia Roberts
Review: Okay, this is a clear example of a movie with great actors and actresses but a weird plot. Actually, I can't tell you much about his movie because I fell asleep. Yep, I did! I watched it but it just got soo boring.; You people out there LOVE Julia Roberts but just because she's in a movie doesn't make it good. This was a lame excuse for a movie that would hopefully sell a lot of tickets by getting Julia ROberts in it. It was not very good at all. And there was no earthly way to understand it. Who cares if you don't understand my review, I don't understant Notting Hill!

Summary: Entertaining, extremely so
Review: Not a brainteaser but makes a very pleasant watching. Can watch over and over again and be exited a new. Loved it!

Summary: You have GOT to love these characters!
Review: When I first went to see "Notting Hill" in the theater, I knew I'd probably like it, but I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. And now that I have my own copy, I've rediscovered how much I love the whole package -- the setting in London, the beautiful stars, the eccentric characters, the quietly silly writing (which makes me laugh over and over at the same lines). You fans of British television will recognize many of your favorite stars here. That was fun, to remember where I'd seen each of them before. The plot is totally escapist and sweetly romantic. But you won't just root for a happy ending -- you'll want to visit his family and friends again and again! No kidding -- I'd love a sequel, telling us what happened to all of them.

Summary: Good movie.
Review: I'm a huge Julia Roberts fan! However, I thought this movie a bit too slow. It was hilarious all the way through though! The acting was fabulous too.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Quirky, funny and totally sentimental...what more is there?
Review: This is a feel good movie for everyone who has ever loved or been loved. Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts are great as the mismatched couple who meet one day and strike up the most unlikeliest of friendships. Julia Roberts plays "the most famous film star in the world", whilst Hugh Grant is a bumbling bookstore owner with a failing business. Their love affair is a fairy tale come true, but like most fairy tales there are a few hurdles to overcome before true love and happiness can finally be theirs. Grant and Roberts are ably supported by an excellent cast, including the Emma Chambers better known as Alice Tinker from "The Vicar of Dibley", and Rhys Ifans who brilliantly portrays Grant's nutty Welsh flatmate. Notting Hill doesn't tax the brain cells. There are many hilarious moments, one of the funniest being the car scene when Grant tries to get to Robert's press evening, it's a laugh a minute and the same can be said for the rest of the film. So if you want a gentle love story, a surprisingly good comedy combined with witty dialogue and a cast of great actors then rent or buy this movie. You won't regret it.
