Review: This movie was depicted beautifully. The director provided a visual treat, the color contrast and movement of the film was excellent. I believe the title is slightly misleading. I wish this film was longer and exposed the character's background a little more.

I definitely wanted to know more about the character Steven (Law). I enjoyed watching Steven deal with his inner conflict.

I will definitely look into more films by this director and of course Law.

Summary: Jude
Review: Well...what can I say about this movie? It was interesting and it certainly held my attention becuase I had to know what happened in the end. It is very hard to dislike Jude Law in any film I see. He has so much depth to his acting ability. You found yourself almost feeling sad for him because he seemed to care for the women he killed, but,in order to live he had to have their blood which carried specific emotions his body needed in order to survive. This is not a typical vampire movie although that is exactly what he appears to be in this film...perhaps a modern day vampire does not have a problem with sunlight or needs the blood for the same reasons as your usual run-of-the-mill vampire if there was one. Although this is not a great picture it did hold my attention and I did begin to care about Steve (Jude Law's character). You couldn't help but begin to care about him even though what he did was absolutely awful. The end will suprise you I think. It did me. Some of the women he chose, however, just did not seem to be good matches for him. NOne of them were played by anyone I had heard of nor were they glamorous at all...they all seemed to be rather troubled. which is interesting why he was drawn to them. Nonetheless, if you are a Jude Law fan then this movie may be a disappointment but it won't be a waste. He is very good in this film. It is just the film isn't exactly ... very good. While it will hold your attention.

Summary: A Dark Look Into Human Nature
Review: When I first started to watch the movie I was a little confused about some of the things Steven (Jude Law) would do, but it all became clear as the movie progressed. You will really need to watch all the little things he does and read the things he writes (even if you have to pause the movie) to get the most out of this character and the movie. What I really enjoyed about this movie was the look into human nature. What makes a person good or evil and what makes us do the things we do? I really liked all the little excentricities that everyone had. We all do some strange things, especialy in private. Watch for the scenes with Steven and the police inspector the dialog is some of the best and the relationship that develops between them is the best thing about the movie. This policeman becomes almost like a father figure and Steven increasingly finds himself revealing personal things to this man. I began to enjoy the characters so much that I almost forgot that this was a vampire movie and not a doomed love story. This is a dark movie about a tortured soul so be prepared for that. If your a Law fan you will not be disappointed. I really enjoyed this movie and the cast is excellent. This movie does contain violence, language and brief nudity.
