Summary: Absolutely Stunning....
Review: I just finished watching this film. Not only is it one of the most visually stunning movies I have seen in a long time, but the story is also quite unique. Thus, the combination of these two traits makes it stand high above most other films. Quite frankly, it is a film that nears perfection.

Summary: An "R" rating for this beautiful film?
Review: Perhaps if parents took the time to sit down with thier young children and watch and discuss the feelings presented in this film we would have fewer incidents like Columbine and the Matthew Shepard killing. Labeling legitimate feelings which many children have had "R" is a malicious attack on the whole idea of childhood. If you want to see how we teach bigotry to our children...see this film. If you want your children to grow up differently see it with them.

Summary: VISUALLY STUNNING - BRILLIANT
Review: The art direction is superb. One of the best films I have ever experienced. An emotionally beautiful, endearing movie embracing the universal theme, acceptance of those that are different. All I ask is that the soundtrack be available for sale in the US.

Summary: Pure Beauty
Review: This is the most beautiful film I've ever seen. Whoever you are, buy this movie and display it for all your friends to see and borrow!

Summary: Different, but better!
Review: This feels like a very politicalcorrect film, but still a bit different. It says "it's ok to be different", but still it shows how though somethings are to accept, especially for a parent with a transexual child...I really enjoyed this movie, and I think that almost anyone would. And I absolutley loved the song, if anyone ever heard of a soundtrack let me know!

Summary: An exceptional demonstration of love and beauty!
Review: This film will always be an all-time favorite of mine! It shows how great a family can love their son/brother for who and what he is even if their love requires great sacrifice. The story is timeless and heartwarming. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry! It will also make you sit up and take notice! The acting, direction and cinematography are excellent. The message the film portrays can be applied to everyone's life.

Summary: The Best!
Review: I saw this movie by myself the first time and cried myself silly. It is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. I connected to it becaue I think that all people are dying inside to be exactly who they really are but because of historical "background" we feel we can't. There is a great quote by Ortega -"Life is a desperate struggle to become in fact what you are in design." I truly believe that. All people should see because it is about being human.

Summary: This is my #1 film of 1998.
Review: After I saw this movie in the theater I came back to see it again, and again. This film prompted me to talk to my psychiatrist about it (he had seen it as well.) I come to find out that he is a specialist in pre-operative counseling for transexuals. His view (and I agree) is that it is an excellent film and a realistic picture of the early transgender experience. BTW, the original music soundtrack IS available (in France!!) I ordered it on-line.

Summary: A wonderful movie that is going to touch and open your heart
Review: The kind of movie that should help people be more tolerant and respectful towards other peoples' feelings and differences.
