Summary: The Best Of MPFC
Review: This is a pretty good collection of sketches done by those brilliant pythons. Unfortanatlly There are 3 mayjor drawbacks

1. No "Silly Walks" One of the python's most celibrated sketches (Maybe). 2. They (Possibly) Do some (Or All) New Sketches 3. They Re-Filmed Them All

All in all it's got lots of gumbies, parrots and killer cars wich will make you die laughing!!!

Summary: The ultimate Python package
Review: This is Monty Python's first film, and it's hilarious. Although it wasn't too popular when released in 1971. But today it's one of the team's most popular films, as it should be. The only problem is towards the end, the laughs start dying down, but are quickly revived for The Upper Class Twit of the Year sketch. This is probably the only Python film that non-Python fans can enjoy. A great introduction to the world of Monty Python.

Summary: classic material
Review: This is not really a movie,But a 90 minute collection of skits from the show. But I don't think that I saw any on here that I didn't like!It contains reshoots of such classics as nudge nudge and the pet shop(parrot sketch).Highly recconmended if you like Monty Python!

Summary: A funny movie
Review: This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Even though it is just a collection of old clips from the tv show, it is still halarious movie. It has some awsome skits in it. For example there is one in it called "how to stay hidden." It involves people hiding behind bushes, and then asking them to step out, where they are quickly shot or burned to death by a bomb. This movie however is not for those who don't enjoy Monty Python humor. If you hated the Holy Grail then this isn't for you. If you enjoyed The Holy Grail or any other Monty Python movie I suggest you check this out.

Summary: The funniest joke ever made...and it can kill you!!!
Review: This is probably one of the funniest movies i've ever seen ...insane...incredible funny!! John Cleese's cooker is fantastic!! And the funniest joke ever made that kills anyone who reads it is absolutely non-sense !!! I recomend to anyone who has sense of humour

Summary: Funniest comedy ever- beside Holy Grail
Review: This is simply the outright funniest sketch comedy to be had on DVD, or anywhere else. Every skit is as funny or better than the last, and that's saying something for Monty Python to top itself. The Holy Grail (by the Python also) is only better due to the solid story for a complete movie. Some of the humor on Something Completely Different is a bit abstract, such as the "How's the wife?" man in the bar. The dead parrot, the lumberjack song, and the marraige counselor are only the jems in this collage of the obscure; every skit here is a winner. One of the best parts of the 'movie' is how each skit is strung together, usually with the troupe's cheap old animation that makes everyone laugh just as hard as they did at the skits.

Summary: i guess, um, a remix of the TV show?
Review: This is the best introduction to Python newcomers, besides Holy Grail.

While this is still a pretty funny movie, once you've seen all the original TV episodes and sketches the film pales in comparison.

Not saying you shouldn't check it out, this is a good movie but the TV show is much much better.

Summary: Monty Python's Greatest Hits
Review: This movie has the feeling of a "Best of" album and that doesn't bother me in the least bit. I think this movie is a perfect jump on point for new fans who have seen the "Holy Grail" and want to see what the Television Show is like but are too timid to buy the new box sets. The movie is primarily a retooling of their best sketches from their first two seasons of the "Flying Circus". Some of the highlights of this movie are "The Dirty Fork Sketch", "The Mountaineering Sketch/

Double Vision", "The Worlds Funniest Joke", "People Falling out of Buildings", "The Upperclass Twit of the Year" and of course their two most famous sketches "The Dead Parrot" and "The Ministry of Silly Walks" which I still love. This is a must have for all fans of the show, and I'm sure I will be ordering it very soon myself.

Summary: And Now For Something Completely Hilarious!
Review: This movie has to be one of the funniest films ever made! Out of all of the Python films, I consider this one the best. This film contains some of the best Python material ever written. My favorites are Hell's Grannies, Dead Parrot, Nudge Nudge, The Banana, and the Twit competition. This movie is a great introduction to Monty Python and a treat for long-time Python-heads. Highly Recommended!

Summary: Clean, Clear, and Funny
Review: This movie introduces no new material to Monty Python's body of work. It selects several key routines from the first two series of Monty Python's Flying Circus and reshoots them. So why bother?

Because this is easier to watch.

This film was shot as part of an abortive attempt to introduce Monty Python to an American audience (which wouldn't actually be accopmlished for another three years). Where the original series suffered from a low budget and spotty production values, this film has high-end production quality, including clean sound, a single variable-angle 35mm camera, and the exclusion of the laugh track that muddied the sound on the TV series. There was obviously money for retakes, allowing the boys to edit out minor line muffs and giving them permission to experiment with their character delivery.

The picture is clear and organic. The sound is clean and audible. The characters are fun and believable. Just what we've always loved about Monty Python, isn't it?

But be warned, except for one or two linking jokes, this is material that you've already seen. Don't expect anything that will take your beloved boys in new directions, and don't think you'll get anything new. Just sit back, hear the jokes you've never heard clearly before, and laugh out loud. That's what they wanted, isn't it?
