Summary: "Mess-Your-Pants-Funny"
Review: This movie made me cry the first time I saw it. All of the reviews that you can read above are pretty accurate -- this movie is a blatant assault on what we have been conditioned to find acceptable. Benoit and Remy take the viewers on a tale of self discovery (or not) into the pschye of a maniac. Like the title above says, this movie is indeed "Mess-Your-Pants-Funny." I already admitted to crying the first time I viewed this film, albeit out of pain when my cheeks hurt from laughing so much. I can further attest that my title for this review is indeed a truism as 3 out of 7 people watching this movie (all sitting under a distance of 10 feet from the TV) when I showed it recently, shat themselves during laughing fits. 1 woman ran from the room screaming about her water bursting and the other 3 first time viewers sat stunned and chuckled occasionally. This is a love it or hate it movie. If that is not a "Two Thumbs Up" review, I don't know what is.

Summary: Best commentary on media's sensationalization of violence
Review: I really love this movie. Refined, poetry and classsical music loving homicidal maniac kills as though it's his daily job and eventually involves a student camera crew documenting him in his violent exploits. What's interesting is how funny and charming the killer is in his disgusting homicides and indeed how callous everyone seems to be to the violence ensuing. Really hilarious if it's your taste.

Summary: watch this with your kids
Review: You can teach a person a lot with this movie. The main character is a killer, but he does it because it's his job. He is also a musician, family man, and good patron at the local bars. My point is, people who are homicidally inclined don't have to be demented, delusional, or patriotic-- they can simply be earning a living.

Summary: "tout a tout gangster, mais tout a tout genereux"
Review: Funniest movie I've ever seen. PLEASE do not take seriously or it will freak you out!! Nothing more than three Wallonian film students making a movie that turned into a masterpiece! The scene at the restaurant is a classic. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the NC-17 version because it is unavailable where I live. I MUST see it. Supposedly there are some really disturbing scenes (rape and smothering). This movie is absolute genius and I recommend everyone to see it and take it lightly. Bon appetit.

Summary: One of the best...............
Review: I have seen few movies as remarkable as Man Bites Dog. The Lead is one of the most despicable individuals that I could possibly imagine by his actions. However, by the end of the movie I had compassion for him. Signs of a well-directed film. Frightening, hilarious, sad, and captivating.

Summary: Rabid Movie!
Review: This movie is sick. Really! I am not a prude. But, there are some very distateful scenes that are unnecessary with the sheer objective of making the viewer sick. I'm not sure if the director was under a great delusion the he is so ironic or bold or shocking. But this movie is total trash. I remember walking out of the theatre when I saw it. I suggest you walk out of your home if it is playing on your tv..... and then move to another town, take an hour long shower and burn your clothes.

Summary: SHOCKING EUROPIAN KILLER-MOVIE!!!!
Review: 'Man Bite Dog' is from Belgium. But the movie is influenced by Jean Luc Godard and Quentin Tarrantino, and does away with all formalities like Godard's spirit. The violent depicts of evil are so eccentric! excellent!!!!!!!!! @.@

Summary: BLACK COMEDY AT IT'S BEST
Review: Man Bites Dog is a stunning portrait of a student film crew who document the life of a serial killer. It looks and feels so real. When I show this movie to people I fast forward past the credits and go right to the film. I tell them it's real foriegn documentary and they believe it, for awhile at least. When the comedy starts it's hard to maintain the gag. This movie is seriously funny and the characters are very believable...maybe because half the cast had no idea of what was really going on. The formula of the film clearly developed in the editing room...and now you can see all the pieces of Remy's puzzling masterpiece in the privacy of your on home. BUY IT!

Summary: A humoriously dark social commentary!
Review: Man Bites Dog is honestly one of the best satirical films I have seen in recent years. The story is one of absolte genius if you enjoy dark humor.
