Summary: The Finest Movie Made
Review: Without a doubt the best movie I've seen.I find It heart warming that a movie could win 6 Academy Awards and be G rated, in light of our current day standards. It's not a shootem up, yet I found the dialogue exciting and thought provoking. I truly enjoyed the relationships the film depicted that Thomas had with his wife and daughter. The movie struck a blow for morality and faith and compared to most of the productions coming out of the movie industry today isn't likely to have it's equal for some time to come. Bravo!!!

Summary: True Artistic Entertainment !!!!!!
Review: Superbly acted and directed, it's no wonder this film garnered all awards! After having viewed this film, Richard Burton remarked, "I have always wanted to be the greatest actor ever to have lived, and I believed I was until I saw Paul Scofield in, "A Man For All Seasons"! This film is a MUST in your library of classics!

Summary: Compelling. Eye-opening. Intelligent
Review: This is one of those movies that you keep reading or hearing good things about but you just put off because it seems so, well....boring. It is, a little. This isn't a movie to watch late at night when you're tired. But the payoff is worthwhile. The story centers around Sir Thomas More, a 16th-century statesman, judge, & philosopher. His most famous legacy was the social commentary "Utopia".

More, as Chancellor of England, becomes involved in a feud with King Henry VIII (he of many wives fame) over who controls the church in England. This feud involves no swords, daggers, crossbows, or cups of arsenic. It is one of words, and of one man's ability to use them to an extent so rarely seen. In this day of Jerry Springer et al, his ability to communicate & his own self-restraint is magnificent.

With all the movies that bombard your senses these days, it is nice to have a more subtle movie that opens your mind.

Six Academy Awards. Well worth your time.

Summary: A Man For All Seasons: A Strong Message with a Strong Cast
Review: After becoming brainwashed with the statement, "A Man For All Seasons is THE best movie ever made" a few thousand times by my religion teacher, I came to (a)fear that my teacher was indeed obsessed with Thomas More and NEEDS to seek help (b)He knows a good movie when he sees one. (Let's all hope it's the latter.) As as a theatre student bearing much respect for pieces of theatre be it live or an "epic; Oscar winning movie" I was truly impressed by the strong performances in this motion picture. I believe that without them, the movie would have been quite weak in some key plot elements and not have been worthy of being deemed "THE best movie ever made". Four stars for the performances! Well done!

Summary: This was an excellent depiction of moral courage!
Review: A Man For All Seasons clearly showed how one man can have a tremendous impact on society. Thomas More went against the brainwashing of King Henry VIII and stood up against him. He followed God's teachings, not society's immoral ways. This is a great movie for all to see.

Summary: this movie inspires me to review my choices on morality
Review: this movie was morally compelling i feel it was great movie that makes me take a look back in my life and review my choices.it makes u think that if he would give his life up for an issue of morality that could have just been ended with a signiture.what choices do i make without thinking of the consequences or without thinking of the situation at hand. would i be willing to give my life. the truth is i dont think so which makes what thomas moore did that much more special. all in all it was a great film and taught me alot about the choices we make in life and the consequences of those choices.

Summary: I thought this movie was pretty good
Review: I just saw the movie "A Man for All Seasons." I thought that the movie was ok but a few great scenes brought it up. I thought that the last two scenes were brilliant. In most movies the hero lives. In this movie the last two scenes deal with the trial and death. I also thought the best scene in the movie was one of the later ones. It was the one where More's family was at the tower of London (where he was being held) with him. I thought that was one of the better scenes because I thought that that it was the turning point for him. They tried to convince him to take the oath, but he wouldn't. At that moment the church, England, and Thomas More's family realized that he wasn't going to change his mind. He was determined to stand for what he thought was right.

Summary: A Man For All Seasons--The best movie ever-H.T.H.S.
Review: I thought A Man For All Seasons was an amazing movie. The way it depicted the neverending determination of Thomas Mores moral standards was absolutely amazing. The setting was also absolutely amazing. It made me feel like I was right there in England with Thomas. Waht I liked most about the movie was the great quotes that were scattered thoughout the film. My favorite was "I die the King's servant...but God's servant first."--More

Summary: This movie was good but kind of boring
Review: I watched this movie in my religion class. It was a good movie but at the same time it was kind of boring. It was interesting to watch if you like those types of movies. I thought it was sad and the ending was surprising. My favorite character was Thomas Moore, he was a good, honest man who stuck to his beliefs. He portrays a good example of how people should act as loving members of the christian community.

Summary: Very well acted and well written
Review: This movie was extraordinary. The cast gave an excellent performance on their interpretation of the parts. The most important part of the movie, in my opinion, is when Thomas gives up his seat of chancellor based only on his morals and conscience. He felt that as a Christian he had to stand against King Henry's request because they were opposing the churches beliefs. There was no sound reason for why Henry needed a divorce other than that Cathrine could bare no heirs. I find that it is no reason for divorce as did Thomas. This is an excellent film and I reccommend for all to see it!
