Rating: Summary: It is the greatest film ever made period. Review: While many people still admire an overrated .... like 'Citizen Kane' , Night and Fog is far better than many other great films in terms of a message it sends and the impact it has on the audience, questioning the value of human-beings. If there is only one film you can see about violence against humanity, this is the film for you.
Rating: Summary: HAUNTING IMAGES TO REMEMBER Review: With a running time of barely 30 minutes, NIGHT AND FOG (Criterion) is still -- in my opinion -- the most haunting of all documentaries made about the Holocaust. Shot ten years after the allied liberation of the Nazi death camps of Auschwitz and Majdanek, Resnais' camera roams the quiet, abandoned grounds and dark, empty buildings. Brilliant editing of wartime footage jolts us into the horrors of the place and suggests that man's incomprehensible propensity toward future violence is not yet quelled.
