Summary: An Odd British Comedy.
Review: "Love Actually" is one of the oddest movies I've seen in a long time. It is a British comedy if that helps explian it. The plot is how almost a dozen characters in London deal with love and relationships. That is about as simple as I can make it. All of these seemingly individuals are actually connected to each other, either in a large way or a small one. The players are Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, and a host of large Brit and international stars. This is more of an ansamble cast. The humor is mostly sex related, and there is so much nudity that I thought it was an '80s movie. Do not get me wrong, it's worth your time, even at two hours and thirty minutes long. There is no stand out story line, they are all just equally as funny. I hate to be so vauge, but I don't want to give away any details.

Summary: You'll Laugh, You'll Cry...
Review: I thought this movie was great!! It was one of the best movies I have seen in awhile. Granted, it did have a lot of nudity and cursing, but all in all, I enjoyed the film. The eight love stories kept the movie running very smoothly. I had no idea I had been sitting for over 2 hours. If you are a romantic who needs a good laugh or a good cry, this movie is for you!!!

Summary: Not The Best Movie
Review: Love Actually had the makings of a great Holiday classic. It had Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson and so many great British actors and actreses. But with all the unnecessary nudity this movie stunk. Also if they had made some of the story lines longer than we could truely appreciate this movie. There didn't have to be nudity and this movie could have been easier to watch and have been a great movie. But the good parts was the ending because it was sweet and over.

Summary: Good...but....
Review: This movie was a must-see for me because of the stars who were in it Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Rowan Atkinson. I just knew the movie couldn't go wrong. While I liked the cast, who played their roles well, the varying sub-stories were interesting. I just wish that there was less focus on the rock star's climb to the charts, and more focus on Sarah (Laura Linney) and Carl instead. I think the movie could have done without the story of the nude actors as I personally did not find that storyline of interest. Colin Firth's story was very entertaining, I thought he played his role perfectly. And Emma Thompson's story kinda left me hanging..but that gave the movie a touch of reality. I rated it 4 stars because the movie had more nudity than I thought was necessary for the film.

Summary: Interesting...
Review: "Love Actually" was good, yet confusing at times. I still can't tell you any of their names! It has nudity and some language, which is why it's rated R. I thought there would be more of Hugh Grant shown, since he's in all the previews, but he's actually in as much of the movie as everyone else. Alan Rickman (Galaxy Quest, Harry Potter) is in this movie. He's a great actor!

The movie follows at least six couples who are in love, have problems in their marraige, or eventually fall in love. Hugh Grant is the prime minister who falls in love with an employee. Alan Rickman is a guy who cheats on his wife. And there are many other couples as well.

Overall, it's a good movie, but I wouldn't take an immature child to see it. This is a movie worth seeing.

Summary: Disturbing
Review: Nude simulated sex scenes; a 10 year old child cursing using the name of Jesus on Christmas; a widowed father telling his 10 year stepson that if a certain woman shows up at their home he will kick the child out so the father and the woman can have sex in every room, including the child's room; an aging rock star taking off all his clothes on television on Christmas with the backdrop of a 10 year old boy pursuing the "love of his life" who is another young child. Well, if that is your cup of tea then you might like this film.

Personally, I found the film to be deeply disturbing.

It is now the norm in films to sexualize children, to include pornographic scenes, to promote aneroxic females as the ideal of beauty, and to describe women with normal womenly bodies as "fat." This film fits in with the mold of the new Hollywood, a place that sees nothing as sacred, including the innocence of the child.

What kind of people produce and promote these kinds of films? Give that some thought and come up with your own conclusions.

Review: I thought this movie was a wonderful movie and was very heart-warming. The opening introduction, with the many people greeting each other in the airport was very touching.

Summary: The best romantic comedy I've seen in a while
Review: This movie was fantastic. It made me laugh, but there were also serious moments. Hugh Grant as PM is adorable, Colin Firth thinking out loud because his housekeeper doesn't speak English is hilarious, and the kids are great throughout the film. The nudity didn't bother me as much as it seemed to bother some reviewers, as I thought it actually made sense with the plot line of the couple. My only complaint is that I do wish some of the stories were more definitively completed, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment as I still give it 5 stars.

Summary: Oh, this is SUCH a charmer!
Review: To the rare person who didn't like this movie (see one below), I say, "Check your pulse! Maybe you're dead!" since I'm firmly convinced that only the deceased will not be moved by "Love, Actually." I was smiling so much during it that my face started to hurt. Yours will too.

P.S. I'm not only going to see it at least one more time. I'm going to buy it when it's available.
P.P.S. I'm a guy.
