Summary: Best Monty Python movie ever made!
Review: I have seen other Monty Python movies and they were funny as well, but this one was the best one. In fact, it is probably the funniest movie ever! The only parts that I didn't like were the ending and the animations but the rest of the movie more than made up for those. If you like British humor, than watch this movie!

Summary: HORRIBLY PATHETICally wonderful
Review: Seriously though, having to give a review among so many people who have already given it the five stars it deserves, if I had given it five, no one would ever read my review so I gave it a one just to attract some attention. :) This movie is wonderful. I have seen it at least (in 100% pure honesty) over 100 times. Thus meaning that I have spent at least two full months of my life watching this film! (Unconsecutively of course) It is wonderful! So many lines my friends and I use in our every day speech and so many times I've become FURIOUS at those who quote the masterpiece incorrectly. I can recite the film almost word for word! I mean, it's that good and that worth watching over and over again! And the cool thing about Holy Grail is that it gets funnier every time you watch it! You always catch something new! Fantastic!

The first time I ever watched it, I laughed so incredibely hard that I rewinded it immediately after it got done and watched it again. (I actually ended up watching it four times in a row before I got to tired and went to bed.) The next morning I got up and watched it again before my mom took it back to the rental store. After that, my friends and I rented it at every birthday party (didn't matter who's), every get together, and any other time we had an excuse to. Finally, about a year ago, I bought it (THX Widescreen) and it's even better. At camp, one time we acted out the entire witch scene for our comedian play night and had the audience roaring. It was a great offering to the masterpiece. Fantastic movie.

Rent it. Do it. Do it now.

Summary: "Qu'est-ce que c'est?"
Review: "c'est un cadeau" "what?" "a present!" - a joke i didn't get until the 4th or 5th time i'd seen this movie. what is it that this is, is a hilarious set of sketches loosely tied together. what makes it timeless is that the themes for the humor are found in normal life, all around you. I've run into idiots who think they're running the show, and are frustrating to everyone they meet. a quick aside of "i'm invincible!" "you're a loony" defuses the frustration and makes it easier to not sweat the little stuff. and how often is it appropriate to say "it's a symbol of your struggle against reality". actually that's from life of brian. LoB is a tighter script, and more targeted social commentary than HG, but both help armor one with humor - truly (i think) the best way to live life.

also, if you've seen everything MP has to offer, i highly recommend the Kids in the Hall, a canadian troupe that did a TV show some years back and has just resucitated their stage show for a tour. Their movie Brain Candy (96-ish) was funny but not IMHO up to their sketch work. VERY Python-esque, and new so you can see it for the first time and experience the delight of the surprise ending ("why didn't you stop him?" "oh, i thought you knew him"). You've seen or heard of most of the members - dave foley (too funny for words), mark mckinney (the chicken lady ROCKS), scott thompson (i adore buddy), bruce mccullough (my pen!... i wanted my check four HOURS ago), and kevin mcdonald (tiny bit of evil... it was Citizen Kane! see him in Galaxy Quest). Check 'em out - humor makes the world a better place.

Summary: PYTHON Rules
Review: Few if any can match the British when it comes down to the zaniest of the zany, the wackiest of the wacky ..... i.e. just all-out laughs. And of those who can pull it off, few do it finer than Monty Python.

Summary: So funny it hurts
Review: Just too damn funny. For anyone who for some insane reason has NOT seen this film yet, I recommend a double feature: Start with "Excalibur", which is a totally humorless retelling of the King Arthur legend with tons of money spent on costumes and sets etc. Then go on to Monty Python's "Holy Grail" and be ready to laugh until you are doubled over in pain and unable to move.

Summary: The One and Only...
Review: You know the type: people who look for any chance to quote a silly line from some film - "Bring me a shrubbery! - any time it POSSIBLY fits into the conversation, expecting nothing but laughter and admiration from others. If you're one of those people, you'll love this film. If not, you won't. It's full of silly situations, silly lines, silly physical and verbal gags. (Read these reviews for plenty of examples). If that's not your bag, skip it. If so, it doesn't get any better than this.

Summary: This movie sucked!
Review: JUST KIDDING! I just wanted you to read my review! worked, didn't it? anyway, down to business...first of all, as you've read in most of the other reviews before mine, this movie is hilarious, and the rather weak ending is forgivable because of the fact that the rest of the movie is damn-near PERFECT...secondly i would like to say that those of you who think the movie is "appaling" or "stupid" or that it "reeked", are, well, frankly, IDIOTS. you have no idea what comedic genius is all about, so you might as well go rent an adam sandler movie or something. and for those of you that didn't like the movie because it wasn't "historically accurate," THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT FUNNY! get a freaking sense of humor already! if you knew anything about monty python in the first place, you would know that they're not going for accuracy...they're going for humor and that is exactly what you get from this movie! if you want "historical accuracy," then go watch TLC or the discovery channel or something! don't go to your local video store and rent a movie out of the clearly marked COMEDY section! anyways, that's all i have to say...now that i have vented, i feel better! thanks!

Summary: 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' rules!
Review: I think that 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' is one of the funniest movies ever. I've seen it lots of times, both at the movies and at home on DVD, and I love it every single time. I laugh just thinking about it.
