Summary: Much Love To All
Review: I've seen this movie in theatres and on video several times now. Coming to terms with being transgendered is, in some ways, more painful and distressing than being gay, I think. I have cried (joy and sadness) many times at many parts of this wonderful movie, and as a transgendered person, feel so 'inside' beautiful Ludo. But I want to add my thanks and love to all of you -- especially the 'straight' ones -- who have written so many wonderful things about this film. You make the world feel a little safer for people like Ludo and me! <XOXO>

Summary: Ma Vie En Rose- Lovely video with many lessons for all.
Review: This video was so artfully done. It shows what the world lookslike to a boy who really just wants to be himself. However, it becomescomplicated since he wants to be a girl, and grow up to marry a boy. The family's task is clear-to love their son unconditionally-but that is not so easy. I loved this movie because it tells the story of my now 25 year old gay son and helped me see my own life and struggles as his Mom. This is a lovely, sweet movie. I fell in love with Ludovic and it was like falling in love with the little boy my son was all over again. The parents' and boy's struggles are real-they were our experience. God bless us all as we struggle to learn to be more accepting, loving parents and allies to all our children-no matter what. This is a very worthwhile video! END

Summary: Uh, no. This is a nightmare!
Review: Uhm, this film is pretty much everything wrong with society. A seven year old boy dresses up in a skirt and wants to marry the boy next door. Did Michael Jackson produce this piece of garbage?

Summary: a brilliant film
Review: I can't believe that this film has an R rating in the US. I saw it last year with my french class in London, where it was rated 12. It is a brilliant film, which not only sensitively explores the issues of sexuality and gender identity, but is also entertaining in a way that goes so much deeper than many other films I have seen. SEE IT, and be prepared to have your stereotypes and pereptives challenged.

Summary: Childhood dreams
Review: One need not be gay or lesbian to enjoy this film. Ludo is a courageous little boy who does not seem to notice the uproar he is causing. The touching thing is how his parents eventually come to accept him. The sad part is how much Ludo and his family have to suffer to reach that point. I have a daughter about Ludo's age in the film, and I saw Ludo much like I see my daughter: as a senstive little child with a wonderful imagination.

Summary: A great movie for the queer kids inside us
Review: For all the movies that have spoken to the kid still inside me, this is one of the few that is geared for the little gay kid that I was (and still harbor). Some gay-themed movies I enjoy in spite of how they are made, but this one is incredibly well directed, scripted, acted and designed. This is just an exceptionally good movie, period. The DVD transfer is terrific -- great color, and the letterboxing is a big help.

Summary: Magnificent lead performance in a wondeful movie
Review: Its all good in "Ma Vie En Rose" and I suggest anyone who wants to see non-Hollywood, intelligent and thought-provoking fare, to see this great mvoie. The lead actor is more courageous than most adults I know.

Summary: Ohmigod Gorgeous
Review: This story was unbelievably touching and it broke my heart to see how unfairly Ludovic was treated. No one ever thinks of how children might react to being uncertain of their sexuality. I wanted Ludovic to simply escape with the lady in the billboard and never return. That would teach the neighbors a lesson! He is an adorable child and he knew every button to push to get those tears welling up as you watch. I would strongly reccomend this movie to anyone with any remote interest in children. Ce film, c'est magnifique! Regardez tout de suite!!

Summary: Please show this film to all elementary school children !
Review: A wonderfully artistic, and realistic approach to being different. A very creative and artistic movie with realistic characters and fabulous fantasy intertwined. If there has ever been a film that explores the psyche of a child that is different, and the way the world perceives them, this is the film to top them all. Compassionate, and eye opening, this film is tops !
