Summary: Twas Great
Review: I thought the movie was extremely good. The night I rented it, I was too tired to watch -- thought maybe I made a mistake. WRONG! Watched it the next day. This is one of the most moving, eye-opening movies I have seen in a very long time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: great
Review: i liked it. it was very suspensful and had lot of detail. and to think that it was actually based on a true story was amazing. i saw it in one of my high school classes the other day and it was very shocking. but it was great!

Summary: Outstanding.
Review: This movie was so heartbreaking. Daniel Day-Lewis did an amazing job. I felt so sorry for his character, and his father's character as well. It's so pathetic to think that something like that can happen.

Summary: An awsome Drama
Review: One of the best political drama ever captured on screen. A very good plot with superb performance. Simply Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor I have ever seen.

Summary: A VERY MOVING AND EMOTIONAL MOVIE
Review: This movie will leave you thinking about it for days after you first view it. Don't be discouraged for its seemingly lighthearted begining with Daniel Day-Lewis and friends running around. It becomes very serious when Day-Lewis and friends are picked up and accused of bombing a pub. The scene with Day-Lewis being forced to admit to the bombing is so incrediable. His acting is just magnificent and he should have one the Academy Award for it. He cries and acts as if it's really happening to him in real life and his acting gave me goosebumps as I watched it. My favorite and I think most dramatic scene in the movie is where him and his father are together in the cell before the trial and Day-Lewis goes off and tells his dad what he really has been going through all of his life. The line "I've been like this since I was seven", said when he was discribing how he felt to his father, just touched me so strongly that I couldn't help thinking that it was his real dad he was talking to and he really felt that way about him. This movie is one of my favorites and I often think about it to this day and I still can't believe that it was a true story. I'm only 15, but please listen when I recommend this to anyone who loves a good drama and the convincing and moving acting of Daniel Day-Lewis that accompanies him with every movie he's ever been in. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!!!!

Summary: Brutally Honest
Review: It is hard to believe that this movie was indeed based on a true story. Conlon and his friends lost 20 years of their lives because of a mistake. Daniel Day-Lewis deserved an Oscar, and watch this movie even if just for Emma Thompson in the court scene. Stupendous acting.

Summary: EXCELLENT
Review: Probably one of the best films ever made about Northern Ireland. This film deserves all the credit it gets, despite the historical innacuricies

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nice movie!
Review: The film "In the Name of the Father" is based on a true story. Allthough, I think that the film makers have taken sertain liberties regarding the script. The actors are doing a good job, which makes it basicly a good movie

Summary: In the name of the father
Review: We liked the film because of the good actors/ actresses and the serious message. The movie shows how the Englishmen went into Northern Ireland. It also shows the problems with the IRA. Gerry Conlon, Guiseppe Conlon and some other people were convicted guilty though they were incent. They were Irishmen. You should absolutely see the film !!!! :-)

Summary: Schpaa!
Review: REally great movie. It is recommended by me! It has a good story (wich is true, by the way), and you really hate the government (police) after seeing this movie. It is about a man who is convicted for something he didn`t do. And the police take his family and friends also. It is funny, sad exciting, and has a good moral too. The reason I didn`t grade it with five stars, is: I`m very picky and it could be more original.

(schpaa is "oslo street-language" from Norway that means cool)
