Summary: The Wall - Secrets
Review: Some people have mentioned the 'secret buttons'. This kind of reminds me of when the album first came out. If you played the track 'Empty Spaces' backwards on a turntable you would hear the following: 'Congratulations; you have discovered the secret message. Please send your answers to Old Pink, care of the Funny Farm, Chalfont'. This was thought to be a reference to Syd Barret but was more likely to have no meaning at all - just one of Roger's little jokes. Looks like he might be up to his old tricks.

Summary: Best sounding DVD in my collection!
Review: I watch it over and over again. The more I watch it, the more details I find. Remastering makes it look like it was shot yesterday, and beautiful sound puts you right into action.

Summary: Pretty Creepy
Review: I do agree that the movie does seem undisciplined and disorganized, but only the first time did I get that impression. In fact, watching this movie with a lyrics sheet handy will explain the plot better than dialogue. The animations were extremely creepy, but very fitting, and of course the sound was excellent. I'm not a diehard fan of Pink Floyd, in fact I only saw the movie because of a friend, however I would recommend a lot of people interested in the band's music or interested in watching a creepy movie in the dark late at night...pick this one, it's definitely worth it.

Summary: The Wall Rebuilt
Review: Probably the best attempt anyone could possibly make at filming the music to Pink Floyd's "The Wall." The few stand out magical animated and filmed set pieces plus the haunting music make this film shine above any other of it's type. The DVD reveals it as I remember on the big screen, crisp and beautiful to watch. May give you a bit of a downer by the end, but worth it for the sheer magic of the ride.

Summary: "The most expensive student film ever made"
Review: That's how Alan Parker described this after he was finished with it. And there's no way to get around the fact that it's a total mess -- muddled, undisciplined, ever so pretentious -- but there's also no way to dismiss the fact that for sheer visual imagination and non-verbal storytelling, there's almost no other movie like it. Unfortunately, what does work (Gerald Scarfe's blood-curdling animation; the flashes of brutal surrealism) is so far outweighed by what doesn't (the heavy-handed attempts at social relevance) that the movie is now only of interest to diehard fans. The disc is a worthy reissue, though, with great sound and picture. Just watch out for the scene of the schoolchildren being shoved into the meatgrinder.

Summary: Not a DVD for all, but good for those who like...
Review: The DVD itself makes good use of the 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound and brings forth the music of Pink Floyd the way it should always be heard...in full force. The image quality is quite excellent compared with the meagre offerings of the decade and a half previous release. Its a must have for any Pink Floyd fan, or music enthusiast.

Summary: Stunning
Review: The Wall is a breathtaking look into the human psychosis of a man who slowly draws himself from the world and eventually his own humanity. Breathtaking video with great animation, and hearing Pink Floyd's music entwine you with Dolby Surround Sound make this movie entrancing and amazing, no matter how many times you watch it.

Summary: DVD version a must-have for fans
Review: This DVD has lots of great extras as well as an impressive menu interface. I think it's worth for the commentary provided by author/writer Roger Waters in and of itself.
