Summary: Brosnan has effectively become Connery
Review: First of all, I know the Bond films well, and this fits the formula perfectly: exotic locales, a great villain, and gadgets and of course women! From the opening credits I was enraptured as this Spy who Love Me-ish Bond film played before me...until Bond reaches Saigon, which instantly, it becomes a Jackie-Chan, Arnold Schwarzenegger hybrid. The first half in Hamburg, Germany was brilliant, especially the scene with Bond and Kaufmann, which in a great burst of nostalgia from the days of Connery reminded me of Dr. No's scene when Bond kills Prof. Dent in cold blood. Riveting, scene, that had the Connery-tongue and cheek style. although I am a fan of Sheryl Crow, her Bond song just didnt cut it for me (She's know Shirley Bassey!), so why then MGM did you not use K.D Lang' end song as the title one! It is a tribute to Bassey's Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever, full of power and sincerity. The theme song even appears in David Arnold's wonderful Barry tribute of a score. So those are the minuses. The plus is however is Brosnan, finished with the cold demanour he passed off in GoldenEye, he effectively becomes Sean Connery wonderfully (interesting enough in TWINE he becomes a cross between Roger Moore and Connery!) and puts through a great performance. Though not on my top ten list, its my number 11 for sure, cause it just doesnt match the style of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, The Living Daylights, or For Your Eyes Only. Then there are the action sequences! The opening to TND's is excellent, and well orchestrated, as is Bond's ride in the BMW in the hotel parking garage! that was masterful! As was the bike scene in saigon (though a little too long). The next film The World is Not Enough, is a far better film. But Tommorow is vibrant and exciting and never lets up. One of the good ones.

Summary: Good, but not great
Review: Pierce Brosnan's second performance as James Bond comes off somewhat better than his first, the largely forgettable Goldeneye. Bond films, as a rule, have a certain formula which must be obeyed at all times- the world must be in jeopardy, the villain must be an insane egomaniac whose plot for world domination is ridiculously overdone yet somehow plausible (having an eccentric cast of Bond-hating henchmen is a plus), the action must be fast and furious, and the locales must be beautiful and exotic. And, naturally, Bond's female costars must all be ravishingly beautiful women. Tomorrow Never Dies has most of these elements. The performances are all quite acceptable- More so than Lazenby, Moore, or Dalton, Brosnan feels like a good fit as 007. Suave, sophisticated, dashing, Brosnan's Bond has the right combination of arrogence, intelligence and good humor to recall Sean Connery. Jonathan Pryce delivers an outstanding performance as a Bill Gates/Rupert Murdoch-type tycoon who attempts to start World War Three to boost the ratings of his news empire. Pryce's villain is a welcome change from most Bond films- he wants to control information, not the world, and is prepared to use nontraditional means of warfare to meet his goal. The Bond girls this time around are a mixed bag- Michelle Yeoh is outstanding as Bond's counterpart for Chinese Intelligence, but Terri Hatcher was less-than-convincing in her role and seems to have been added to the cast solely to appeal to guys who surf the internet. The action sequences are well-done, particularly an exciting chase through a parking garage where Bond drives his BMW by remote control, but feel rushed at times. The Vietnam scenery (in real life Thailand) is stunningly pretty, but the German scenery is too bland. A good Bond film, but not great.

Summary: Brosnan's 2nd and best Bond
Review: Not that all 3 of his Bond flicks have been released, I have to say that TOMORROW NEVER DIES is the best of Pierce Brosnan's 3 007 outings. The basic plot may be quite formulaic(it is little more than a remake of YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME)but the film itself is very well presented. Roger Spottiswood provides slick direction and David Arnold's music score proves him the series best composer since John Barry. I also liked the romantic subplot involving Bond and his ex-flame(who just happens to be the villain's wife) Paris, well played by Teri Hatcher. Miss Hatcher sadly isn't given enough screen time but at least she has the honor of being one of the 3 Bond girls that the cinematic 007 was ever in love with(Tracy from ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE and Kara from THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS being the other 2). While definitely a triumph of style over substance, TOMORROW NEVER DIES more than delivers the goods as 2 hours of diverting, escapist entertainment.

Summary: Great For action buffs, but no plot.
Review: Tomorrow Never Dies was quite the Bond film. It was filled with action and plenty of passion, of course. Jonathan Pryce plays a great villian, Elliot Carver, but Mr. Stamper, Carver's right hand man, is the movie's best villian. Brosnan turns in another stellar performance as Bond, and this movie brought to the table something never before seen in any Bond film. A beautiful woman who also knows how to fight. Don't get me wrong, the women in past Bond films were gorgeous, but they pretty much just followed bond around and did little to help him, in this movie, Wai Lin knew how to fight, and she was a tremendous asset to Bond's attempt to foil Carver's plan. This movie does err in one respect, however. It does not have near the plot that GoldenEye, its predecessor, did. TND is much more of a shoot em up movie, while Goldeneye made you think a little bit. This is the only reason I gave TND four stars instead of five. My advice, rent it today.

Summary: Today, Bond DIES!
Review: This struck me as a complete waste of many months work of filmmaking! The film was uninnovative, boring, and the villain, Elliot Carver (Price), was a real disappointment. Many viewers liked the fact that the Chinese secret agent in this movie matched 007 move for move, but I thought it was a complete insult to the 007 character and took away alot of the incredibility I feel when I see 007 make his unbelievable escapes! Whatever you do, don't waste your money on this movie!

Review: Brosnan returns as agent 007 in this enstallment of James Bond. This time he's fightign a media mougle out to control the world. Interesting plot. And I loved Bond's remote controlled BMW. A good modern Bond film. Buy the soundtrack and this movie.

Review: Brosan delivers a great preformance in the movie with great gadgets. The Special Effects were awesome, and extremly cool! The best Bond music ever (after the World is Not Enough) is featured in "Tomorrow Never Dies". You have to see it!

Summary: Pretty much action but little panache
Review: Since "Tomorrow never dies" is a James-Bond-film, one can be quite sure in advance that this film will neither be a complete disaster nor an all-time-classic (similar to the films of the "Star-Trek"-franchise). This one stars Pierce Brosnan once again who is really an acceptable James Bond. But like his two films, he has only little panache. It would perhaps be unfair to blame him for that since the creators are only striving for spectacular action scenes. It's not that I don't like action but I think James Bond films must be different from other action films. They really need a touch of class. In this respect, the Brosnan-starrers have still plenty of room for improvement.

Review: I din't like the movie very much , but it vas good. The DVD format is great as it includes a lot of 007 information which everyone whould love. Don't loose the chance and buy it. I liked the "Secrets of 007" a lot and the other staff also. It is a grate DVD.
