Summary: A Summer Must See Movie!!!
Review: Action, martial arts, good screen play based on a Jet Li story, international actors, nasty villians your love to hate, and a great film location. Good adult entertainment! I've got to see the movie again.

The S. F. Metreon audience loved the movie. Another well directed action film by Luc Besson. Definitely a buy when released in video.

Summary: Good for Action, Not for Plot
Review: So, its ok to blast up innocent hotel goers if your with the government? Since when do the French give their agents automatics? Sorry Jet, even though you did write this, I think you need to keep to acting. Though the movie wasn't good at all, plotwise, the action was good, and Jet did some great stunts. There is one scene at the end that really justifies the movie. My friends and I were the only ones laughing, but I mean c'mon its hilarious, even if a bit gruesome. Just go see it and you'll see what I mean.

Summary: Good Popcorn Film!
Review: Saw the movie today and was impressed with the fight scenes. More fights than RMD, and not the wire work.

Not the greatest plot but not the worst that I've ever seen with an action thriller. All I know is that time flew by and before you knew it, there were the credits rolling on the screen.

Jet Li also gained more respect from me by stating publically that parents should pay attention to the rating (R) due to the violence. Easy to cater to the all mighty dollar and say bring your friends and family, but Jet Li seems to care more about impressions on kids and the influence films have (And yes, it is violent!)

Bottom line: Better than this summer's (and other seasons) action thrillers that I have sat through. A classic? No. Entertaining? yes.

Summary: Breathtaking
Review: With months of anticipation for "Kiss of the Dragon", I was hoping that it would be an improvement from "Romeo Must Die."

Fans have been waiting since Jet Li's "Once Upon A Time in China and America" for another of his classics. On July 06, 2001, "Kiss of the Dragon" set fire to theatres' screens and satisfied its audiences.

During "KOD", an audience is never bored when Jet is not on the screen. An audience is not bored when Jet is not fighting. The entire story, which was created by Jet Li, is well-done, is so well-developed that there are few flaws - if any. Character development is also very strong when necessary. (For example, there is a scene in which Li and Fonda have their first real conversation and she mentions her daughter.) Audiences easily may understand the characters in this film.

While choreography, costume designing, sound effects, cinematography, and dialogue all define mere perfection and set the screen on fire, Jet Li and Bridget Fonda are such a stunning duo that they add fuel.

Kung-fu sequences are choreographed by Corey Yuen (also known as Yuen Kwai), who has made a name for himself in the movie industry working on Jet Li's "Romeo Must Die", "Fong Sai Yuk 1&2", "Lethal Weapon 4", "New Legend of Shaolin", and many more.

With an impressive cast, world-acclaimed Luc Besson has helped Jet Li set a higher Western standard than his previous movie, "Romeo Must Die." All these positive assets are heightened, for sound quality, photo quality, editing, costumes, and lighting all are worked to miraculous detail.

"Kiss of the Dragon" has little, if none at all, wirework. With more realistic shots, camera angles are perfected. Music truly match the right situations, and Jet Li's acting is superb, as usual. Truly he portrays a breathtaking character. It is amazing, how he can act soft, gentle, kind, humble, patient, rough, angry, and purely mad all in one movie. Several touching scenes are also perfected, for example the symbolism used when Jet runs in the train tracks and all that can be heard is his labored breathing. The symbolism there can truly relate to the majority of an audience and is one of the most stunning scenes Jet Li has ever performed, even if he is not fighting. Naturally, the incredible fight scenes only manage to heighten the performances given by Jet Li and other supporting actors/actresses.

Fonda was right when she said Jet is "poetry in motion." A beautiful triumph in the making of "Kiss of the Dragon." Months of anticipation were not failed. A must-see.

Be sure to watch Jet Li's next movie, "The One", in which Li plays a monk - scheduled for release in theatres on November 2nd, 2001.

Summary: Kiss of the Dragon
Review: I was very surprised on how good Kiss of Dragon turned out to be. This movie is an amazing improvment from Romeo Must Die. The fight scenes are much more realistic, and the action is almost nonstop from begining to end. Very entertainning! Also no computer special effects or wire work in the fight scenes. The acting is also very good. Kiss of Dragon is Definetly worth seeing. Jet Li rocks!

Summary: Plenty of action!
Review: This is the type of character that Jet Li was meant to play. It's great how he portrays such a humble and moral person and at the same time can take down an entire karate class full of black belts! Briget Fonda is fantastic in her co-starring role. She makes up for Jet's less-than-perfect acting ability.

Summary: Jet Li Rules
Review: I must agree with the previous review. Kiss of the Dragon is far superior to RMD. No wires or special effects needed. Jet Li does not need special effects, guns etc. He is a walking special effect. If you want to see Jet Li at his best and a good story to boot then go see this film... I can't wait for the DVD.

Summary: lots of action weak story
Review: This movie seems too be an old style any reason for a fight type movie.Which makes it good in the way of action. The movie keeps going. The story is kind of weak in the sence that it is not quite explained-if you don'tpay attion too the beging. The movie starts with jet-li arriving in france too aid in a police operation too take down a international chiness drug lord. He is soon betrayed by the french police and is on the run.he meets up with bridget fonda .who wants him too free her daughter in exchange for her help.

Summary: A Fun Ultra-Violent Martial Arts Film!
Review: Jet Li returns to the silver screen a Chinese cop sent to work with a French narcotics task force, while investigating a kingpin. Yet soon Jet Li knick named "John" is framed by the head of the French task force, named Richard. What follows next is a thrill ride of gun play, martial arts action and a decent story. From the opening action sequence at the hotel to the thrilling closing sequence where Jet Li fights hords of cops inside a police station"Kiss of the Dragon" delivers all of the good a action film should have. Bridget Fonda gives a decent preformance as a hooker/junkie that is used by Richard to help assassinate the Chinese drug lord, using her daughter as a means of controlling her. "Kiss of the Dragon" contains element from suchmovies as Jet Li's "The Enforcer" and Luc Besson's "La Femme Nikita". Luc Besson and Jet Li both helped in creating the story. "Kiss of the Dragon" is with out a doubt the best action film of 2001 and a much better film then Jet Li's earlier american film "Romeo Must Die". the most violent action films I have seen recently, this film borders on the level of Jet Li's earlier films such as"Black Mask" and even John Woo's "A Better Tomorrow II". Yet for anyone whom want's a good action film with a decent, not excellent, story and non stop action then look no farther then "Kiss of the Dragon".

Summary: It was alright
Review: Jet Li is the martial arts master. I love most of his movies. "Kiss of the Dragon" was so-so. The fight scenes were better than "Romeo Must Die." The pace and acting of the movie was better in "Romeo Must Die" than in this one. Go see the movie for the fight scenes. A lot of people in the theater were on the edge of thier seats the whole time a fight was going on. They cheered and "ooed." See this one, and then go rent "Fist of Legend." That is his all time best.
