Summary: Jet Li in great shape
Review: A very good movie. The actionscenes are perfectly executed and the use of wires are small and just gives that little extra. The story is a bit weak but that doesn't matter. Li as undercover cop and his martial-art training son as an unbeatable team. Great action and some twists to the story makes it something extra

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Jet Li , Xie Mao, Anita Mui, & Yu Rong Guang Have Chemistry!
Review: Although much of this movie was spent on character development and plot-setting (i.e. the dying wife), and that Jet Li's fighting prowess was only a small percentage of the action sequences, I have to give this movie a high rating. The storlyline was easy to digest: Hong Kong policewoman (Anita Mui) pursues undercover Mainland cop (Jet Li) who's helping to bust a crime lord (effectively portrayed by equally amazing martial arts actor Yu Rong-Guang). Martial Arts prodigy, Xie Mao (as Jet's son), livens up the screen with his genuine artistry. Be prepared to sit through some very "slow" scenes but you will be rewarded with incredible action.

Summary: Easy to forget
Review: Another Miramax chopped up version of a Hong Kong film. The story is half decent, and the action exceptable, but this movie is not hard to forget.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Action, Martial Arts, and Drama all in one. EXCELLENT MOVIE!
Review: Excellent martial artist Jet Li, makes another great movie. This time, Anita Mui, famous for the lady who buys the store in Rumble In The Bronx, help Jet Li set stage as she also does martial arts. The fighting scene at the end is a truly 'MUST SEE'. Excellent picture quality, not like old Jet Li movies, and as always, excellent performance from the great Jet Li.

Summary: very exellence
Review: For some reason Jet Li escaped from China to Hong Kong. Luckily and unfortunately he met a gang's worker, and afterward they had a conflict and fighted with each other. I forgot all the detail but generally it is a very excellence movie. If you're one of Jet Li fans you cannot miss this movie. All of his movies I have seen there all have the different things I can learn from it especilly about kungfu. All of his movie is worthy to keep it as a collection. If you love kungfu or martial arts you should not miss it.

Summary: Jet is Great, Tze Mui is Amazing
Review: I emmensely enjoyed this film's action scenes, because I am so used to watching Jet Li flying around with wires stuck to his back, I was sort of surprised to see his real kung fu skills. Although the martial arts sequences are short and limited, they are very effective and are a break from the normal "challenge" fights which Jet Li films usually consist mainly of. The story is involving unlike some of Li's period pieces, and his son in the film, Tze Mui, from New Legend of Shaolin and God of Gamblers' Return, is simply unbelievable. I'd really like to know if the thing called "breathless kung fu" is actually taught.

Summary: Good movie......
Review: I have seen this movie several times in Chinese and English. The translation is different in both. The Chinese actually makes everything more clear (I know the translaters have to consider the mouth movements.....so understood).

The sentimentality, in my humble opinion is good (although acting it out seems difficult for Xie Mao in one spot). I don't really care for "tear jerker" movies, but if you love your family (something I think is dying out), it is very believable!

The fighting action is awesome! And I have to say I believe Jet Li has the true ability to portray feelings perfectly.

Summary: Good movie but dubbing can ruin a film
Review: I have the Chinese import version which is titled my father is a hero. I prefer a movie which has subtitles rather than dubbing. I rate the import 4 1/2 stars. The transfer from film of the recently dubbed movies seems much better than the imports. More Hong Kong films are being dubbed but I wish they had the choice for multi-language.

There is a good balance of drama and action in this film. The acting is decent but the story is more believable than other HK films.

Summary: Off the hook stuff but craved a little more jet
Review: I saw this movie and thought that it was a great film, I wanted more jet li in it though but hey it was more than compensated for by his son and the villain. The three of them had a great film chemistry which made the picture that much more enjoyable. Fist of legend was just too good a movie to try and critique, you have got to see it for yourself.
