Review: the slapstick jackie chan fan might like this one, might not. the seasoned artist, however will find it a gem. this is the role the character LEI WULONG from tekken 3 was designed. not so much like chan's cheese flicks, but if you look closely, you will be able to catch clips of the awesome style of the snake and crane. it even has bits of dragon fist and eagle claw. i highly reccommend this flick.

Review: THis film is boring but the kung fu is brilliant! 8 kung fu masters get together to write a book which contains secrets of each of their styles. When they are murdered somehow Jackie ends up with the book. Everyone tries to steal the book from Jackie but ofcourse they have to fight my hero (Jackie) first!

Review: This has a reputation among martial arts fans as the best traditional martial arts movie Jackie Chan ever made. I'd have to disagree. There's some good fighting here, but overall the film is extremely slow. I'd recommend Drunken Master or Snake in the Eagle's Shadow instead.

Review: This is an "early" Jackie Chan film (known at the time as "Jacky Chan"), circa 1980. This was long before the slapstick and buffoonery of his later films. The fighting is excellent and spectacular. The plot is not the typical worn-trodden "you killed my master" fare, and carries a mystery throughout the film until the very end. The film drags in the middle, but picks up briskly in the final reel. I would have liked to have seen Jackie Chan use the snake and crane technique a little more than essentially only at the end. Nevertheless, this is a nice addition to your collection.

Summary: Jackie is a GOD!
Review: This is, hands down the best Jackie kung-fu movie ever made! It has some of the best fight scenes ever filmed and the story is actually very good and has somewhat of a twist ending. By far, this is the ULTIMATE JACKIE WUP-[rear]S movie! This film was done before Jackie found a sence of humor, and he lets loose on all who oppose him, even the chicks(they are awesome kung-fu in their own right). All the action leads up to my favorite fight scene at the end.... DO NOT PASS UP THIS MOVIE!!!!! If you are thinking, don't! Just buy it!

Summary: Jackie Chan at his Kung-fu best
Review: This movie is quite simply the greatest Jackie Chan high kickin' kung-fu flick I've ever seen! Non-stop top-dog fighting, with this genres essential one-man-takes-on-a-hundred-at-a-time-and-kicks-their-butt scenes featured to the max. The dubbing is so terrible it's great, and the voices used are ridiculous - top comedy! I just wish I could get myself a copy here in the UK....

Review: this movie's plot is weak and steriotypical, the dubbing is [bad] and Jackie barely smiles, but the kung fu, which is what I bought it for in the first place, is excellent.

I study both the snake and the crane styles of shaolin and I must say, aside form all the cartwheels and usuall razzle dazzle of movie kung fu, the coreography, (which Chan was highly involved in) was excellent and mostly true to the real styles of shaolin.

If you like alot of action, blood and childish swear words dubbed in to movie then buy this.

Review: while I agree with the previous reviewer that fearless hyena is also excellent, this is also a top-notch kung fu film, and defintely not "painful". maybe he saw "snake fist fighter" and got the two mixed up. fans of Jackie's kung-fu comedy style may not like this as much as some others, this is a classic formula kung fu film. the super-secret kung fu style contained in a much coveted book, the powerful villain with stereotypically dressed henchmen, bad dubbing...it's all here. one of the few Chan movies where he's an extremely skilled fighter from the start of the film, and a wisecracking one to boot. however, one of the female co-stars must be related to the producer...by the time she dies you'll be cheering the villain. this movie also received a few votes in a "best Jackie movie ever" poll of the jackie chan fan club mailing list.
