Summary: A tender love story.
Review: This is a different story, it's not focused in the stunts and the martial arts, here Jackie Chan explores dangerous waters (to fall in love with a very young girl) but from the Fairy Tale point of view. It's very funny to see him fighting against that Jean Claude Van Dame look alike. A nice movie to watch with the entire family.

Summary: Kinda Korny
Review: Who would actually go on a plane because, of some stupid message in a bottle? The fighting was stupid too, who would waste time to pick out a pair of cheap gloves? It's english dubbed that means the people who can read the chineese script to translate it in english can't act for beans. I think Jackie Chan should leave little girls alone and fall in-love with someone his age. I like Jackie Chan and everything but, this movie was kinda wack.

Summary: Gorgeous
Review: I liked this movie because of the great fight scenes. When a mysterious bottle appears a girl named Bu travels on her way to Hong Kong to find out who its from. Then she meets this weird guy who tells her his secret. Then he says he has a way of making it up to her. They go on a boat trip. This is where Bu meets C.N. Chan (Jackie Chan). They end up falling in love. My favorite part was when Allen and C.N. box at the end of the movie. It was filled with kicks and punches until the end.

Summary: For Chan Fans only
Review: Jackie Chan could make a successful love story for an American audience, NOT THIS ONE! He plays a middle-aged, very boring, badly dubbed business man who falls for a flighty, yet beautiful...child. Bu (the flighty kid)should be marrying her sweetheart but instead falls for the boring, badly dubbed clean freak with the stupid name, CN (ChaN). I love Jackie Chan so I'm glad to have this title in my collection but I'd like to see him play a Chan role and find an energetic equal for a partner. (try less Pretty Woman, more Raiders of the Lost Ark)

Summary: Jackie Chan Exercises Acting Muscles
Review: Not your typical Jackie Chan flick, which is why the rating ii not higher. There are some very funny scenes involving a gay character and the female lead. Also hilarious is the short guy chasing Jackie all over to fight him. I found the age difference between Jackie and his co-star to be disturbing. Jackie looks great for his age, but the young woman plays a naive young woman and she comes across even younger than she really is. Not that there are any real love scenes between them, but there is a kiss and all I could think was "ICK."

Summary: Pretty good
Review: i give this movie 3 1/2 stars, while it still has some really cool fight scenes, (beats up a gane with some metal baseball bats, and two of jackie's greatest one on one fights i have ever seen) yet it still is not my type of music. its kinda like a chinese rocky, and i dont really like that there is a dreamy music in the backround throughout the whole move literally.

Summary: Some of his best fight scenes ever!
Review: Up front, "Gorgeous" has an ok plot. At least we're seeing a new side of Jackie as he dons the "romantic" role. Now, to the fight scenes. These are by far some of his best ever filmed! When he takes on the four guys with the baseball bats, you'll be rewinding that for sure. But don't stop yet, as the two fight scenes with the American fighter are the ones to stick around for. The moves and speed exhibited here are amazing, and the choreography on the fight scenes are absolutely some of his best ever. The thing I really appreciated about the film was the fact that there was no bad guys in the movie. The fight scenes between Chan and the American were done with respect toward each other, and even the main villian isn't really into it to hurt Jackie. No stereotype villians here, that's for sure. A great movie!

Summary: Well, the fight scenes certainly are.
Review: Unfortunately, I only found the dubbed version at my video store so I pretty much cut to the fight scenes. I hadn't been expecting much, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised. ackie plays a millionaire whose childhood and current business rival has it in for him. The rival knows he can't beat Jackie himself, so he shows up with an American martial artist he has hired. A *very* small American martial artist. Jackie has about five inches and 25 pounds on him. When Jackie protests that guy is too small, his rival explains that that's the point, it will be even more humiliating. The American martial just relishes the challenge of fighting good martial artists, and is almost apologetic about the circumstances, saying that unfortunately his employer's men won't let Jackie leave without a fight. Jackie's rival just wants him knocked about a bit and defeated, not killed. So they get to it. It is more like a very hard kickboxing sparring session than a proper fight. But there's lots of good stuff. One thing I would say having read other reviews which referred to the "fast" kicks is that the fights are definitely speeded up, or have frames cut out. Even professional martist artists (Muay Thai etceteras)do not kick that quickly in real life. However one can appreciate the nice combinations and the sportsmanship (even the "bad" guy is just trying to find a new challenge, and doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Summary: Pardon me while I pass out
Review: Now, I hate love stories, so when I found out this movie was a love story I knew I'd despise it. Then, a character in the movie says he wants to hire an Undefeated American to fight Chan, and well, you'll have to watch it. The final fight scene is the MOST amazing one on one fight scene Chan has done in his current works. Heck, it even rivals the supreme fight in "Who Am I?". You won't be disappointed, in fact, you'll watch the final fight scene at least 3 times on your intial viewing of this movie. My only gripe is the unbelievably annoying menu screen.

Summary: Chan movie with a plot!
Review: Well jokes aside, this was actually a very entertaining film. I rented it on DVD recently and was very impressed. The DVD itself had some good features. Availability to watch in subtitled form is definently a plus, and Jackie's commentary is hilarious!

This is definetly not what I'm used to seeing in a Jackie Chan movie. I'm used to no plot and all action, but this movie had a good plot to it as well. Jackie plays a lonley business man named "C.N.". The movie itself starts out with a young girl named "Bu" who find a message in a bottle saying "I'm waiting for you". Bu decides to take it to the extreme and actually go to Hong Kong to find who wrote the note. Well she was dissapointed finding who the note belonged to, but stayed in Hong Kong nonetheless, and eventually met C.N." A romance starts between the two, the the movie focuses on their relationship at that point. There's nearly as much action in the movie as Jackie fans are accustumed to, but no need to worry, there are still some action scenes. The fight with Alen was fantastic. The only thing keeping me from giving this movie a full 5 stars, was near the end, where I felt it got a little chessy. Other than that, this is a great movie. If you have DVD make SURE you watch it subtitled.
