Rating: Summary: This movie is too much. Review: I love this movie! I can watch this movie over and over. The fight scenes (and there's so many of them) just makes you wish you studied kung fu as a child. The filmography of this is great too! It's like eye candy. Not only that but the storyline is really good too. I would recommend this movie to anybody.
Rating: Summary: I watched the movie in utter amazement Review: The fighting scenes just get better and better throughout the movie. Just when I thought it can't be topped, there's another surprise some minutes later. I truly recommend this for the true Jet Li fans out there.
Rating: Summary: Great kung fu Review: This movie was excellent because it has two of Hongkong's finest action stars: Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh. Jet Li's talent in kung fu is probably expected by a lot of male chauvinists but Michelle's talent is something else. Her fight scene in a bar brawl is reminiscent of Chinese Opera and her final confrontation with the eunuch is a graceful pirouette armed with two deadly swords.
Rating: Summary: great martial arts but shoddy translation to dvd Review: A superb display of chinese fighting prowess in cinema. Jet Li & Michelle Yeoh do their thang; but it is really unforgiveable that the movie was just splatted directly to DVD - you can't hop to any chapter besides #1! Like VHS, you have to FF or REWIND. This is a loooong movie to be fast forwarding through to your favorite fight scene. And suppose you have to shut it off in the middle? Ack! Also, subtitles are not programmed, but part of the actual film - several times they are completely unreadable.
Rating: Summary: Jet Li is just amazing!!! Review: I was looking forward to this one because of the combination of Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh. The only thing that keeps this movie from 5 stars is the constant use of ropes during the fight scenes. It got unrealistic at times.
Rating: Summary: The best!!!!! Review: This is the best Jet Li movie to ever come out. It is because of Tai Chi Master I began my studies in Chen Style Taijiquan. This is truly an inspirational movie and is a great movie for those who think Taiji is only a health exercize.
Rating: Summary: The best movie ever Review: This is simply the best movie I have ever seen. The fighting is rad, they do some really cool stuff. It is an awesome karate flick and it is also a great movie. It is RAD.
Rating: Summary: Simply the Best on internal martial arts Review: Much more than just a legendary story of the founder of Tai Chi, Chang San-Feng, and brilliant martial art scenes, this is one of the (very rare) films that you can watch over and over again and discover deeper layers each time. I try to seriously study Tai Chi for many years and, for me, this is maybe the best movie I ever saw - martial art or not!
Rating: Summary: A Classic Battle Review: This movie, along with spectacular fighting scenes, is also a classic battle between good and evil, right and wrong.
Rating: Summary: Jet Li, Tai Chi, What more do you want? Review: If you are looking for the best of Jet Li, you may have just found it. This film is a truly spectacular display of martial arts prowess, eastern philosophy, and storyltelling through the art of film. The cast, featuring Jet Li, Donnie Yen, and Michelle Yeoh, provides a colorful characterization of man's struggle between good and evil, greed and selflessness, and ego against righteousness. If you like flying fists, and hard hitting Hong Kong Cinema, it doesn't get much better than this. Check out the final showdown.......mind boggling.
