Rating: Summary: Chucky's getting a bit corny. Review: This was an all right movie, but I thought the other ones were better. The Child's Play series is getting corny, starting to be a spoof on themselves. "Bride of Chucky" was more funny than it was scary, but there're not really supposed to be scary, are they? I recommend that you rent it first, and see how you like it. A true Child's Play fan would probably want to buy it, but it's safer to rent.
Rating: Summary: VERY FUNNY AND GOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS Review: IT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN THE BEST OF THE SERIES BUT IT HAD THE BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS AND IT WAS THE FUNNIEST ONE.IT WAS MAYBE THE GORIEST TOO.FOR EXAMPLE WHEN JESSIE AND JADE'S(THE MAIN CHARACTERS)FRIEND GETS HIT BY A TRUCK AND SPLATTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD.THAT WAS MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE WHOLE MOVIE.ANOTHER GORY PART IS WHEN JADE'S UNCLE GETS NAILS AHOT INTO HIS FACE, I ALSO LIKED THAT PART.BUT GORE IS REALLY WHAT MAKES A HORROR MOVIE RIGHT?
Rating: Summary: the movie was off the hook Review: BIRDE OF CHUKY WAS SO GOOD CHUKY PLAYD GOOD WITH TIFFANY SHE WAS VERY FUNNY OH BUT CHUKY WAS TO. OK GOT TO GO BUY LOVE AND KISSES TIFFINY.
Rating: Summary: Frighteningly Funny !!!!! Hillariously Horrible !!!!!!! Review: A Maccabre version of 'Natural Born Killers' with a lot more humour. I think this is the funniest of the Chucky movies I've seen. I nearly cracked up laughing when I saw the 'Voodoo for Dummies' book. It's a real dig at the IT world. It's a pity that we were left with only Jennifer Tilly's voice not far into the movie. She's a real hot babe. I was surprised to see an older John Ritter doing his bit. Quite a contrast from the popular 'Three's Company' sitcom (which I still enjoy very much). The Chucky and Tiffany dolls were really great. The wizardry that goes into 'bringing them to life' never fails to amaze me. I would have liked to see this movie on DVD. The sound was still good on prologic though. There were some great songs featured as well. This is certainly not a scary movie. There's more larfs than scares and if you've seen 'Child's Play' then you can appreciate who the Chucky character is. Just keep the kids away though (luckily I don't have any). They probably won't play with dolls ever again after watching this movie.
Rating: Summary: This movie brings a new item to the Childs play series.. Review: COMEDY, COMEDY, COMEDY I bought this movie from here a few days ago because it has not yet been released in England and I think its the second best in the whole series...Buy this movie.. You wont regret it...I didn't!!
Rating: Summary: I Loved this movie Review: This movie was all that. Not because of the horror, because it had very little suspense, but because of its comedy. This movie was very funny. Chucky and Tiffany as husband and wife was so amusing. This movie should have been classified as an action/comedy, but a good one.
Rating: Summary: A real tear-jerker Review: A light-hearted romp with two misfits just trying to get by in a crazy, mixed-up world. These two heart-warming characters will take you down memory lane to your own childhood. Recommended for the whole family.
Rating: Summary: I hate the Child's Play movies but..... Review: The first Child's Play movie was pretty average. The other 2 were dreadful. There are many "tiny terror" movies that were much better. Even the cheap quickies like Demonic Toys, Puppet Master (1,2 and 3 only), and Dolls, were superior to the Child's Play film. An acquaintance of mine persuaded me to give Bride of Chucky a chance. I have thanked him many times since. The movie was a great. The dialog was hilarious (intentionally, unlike many horror films), the special effects were great, and the soundtrack rocked. It is one of the few horror films that I can watch over and over again. Perhaps it is not so much a horror films as a gory, black comedy. I recommend it to anyone who likes their horror served up with a dash of wit and a side order of laughs. Suspend your disbelief and check it out yourself.
Rating: Summary: Chucky comes back with a vengence Review: Chucky gets lucky as they say, well maybe not. The chuckster reclaims his throne as the king of pint-sized terror when his girlfriend, Tiffany (Tilly) Double-crosses a young cop and accquries his tattered remains.(In the last one he was chopped up by a large fan). However when Tiffany recites the ancient incantation, Chucky is re-animated and reveals to "Tiff" that he really wasnt intrested in a relationship. Enraged, Tiff locks up Chucky and taunts him until he breaks free and kills her. To add insult to injury he sticks her soul in another doll. This, however is the point in the movie where girl power is redefined as Tiffany steals the show with her inventive killing methods. Chucky acts as more of a peripheral character, only there to back up Tiff. The rest I'll leave up to you to watch, but if you like child's play, you'll love this movie. if you dont like child's play, than you'll still love it.
Rating: Summary: Chucky was'nt Sucky. Review: I never even saw any of the other "Chucky" movies. What drew me to this one was Jennifer Tilly. (She is one of my fav. actresses) Assuming Jennifer has good taste i figured this movie had to be alright. I was right! This movie plays upon itself as being over the top and ridiculous. If your half way descent in the brains department you would have already figured that out. The last thing in the world you should do is enter this movie with a preconceived notion that it is going to be a serious thriller. Jennifer Tilly pretending to be in an old time classic melodrama swooning over Chucky is an absolute riot. I love her! The grand finale had me cackling like a fool at 2 in the morning when the movie ended. I can't wait to watch it again someday. Brilliant movie surpisingly.
