Review: This movie was excellent, it was probably the best of the series. The DVD also offers some excellent features that are not on the video, like extra scenes from the first 3 and behind the scenes this one. I highly reccomend it!

Review: if you like action fighting scenes, you'll love this flick. jet li is one of the best martial arts actors out there! chris rock is the funniest sidekick since joe pesci joined the cast of lw. i also watched the making of the car chase scence in slow motion - you actually see one of the stuntmen get slammed into by a car!!!

Summary: Lots of unrealistic action scenes & contrived comedy, acting
Review: This movie has the same, typical lethal weapon plot. There's an "impressive" beginning, lots of ridiculous comedy in the middle (Chris Rock is annoying as a loose frog on a flea farm), they get ambushed by the bad guys, and then the lethal weapon ending when Riggs and Mertae single-handedly out-duke the bad guy whipersnappers. That's to be expected. Each "actor" just seemed to be reading the lines. The action scenes were unrealistic, to say the least. I think that 1 and 2 are much better. #3 was worse....this one beats #3 by far (in being poor).

Review: I am not one to ever complain about bad language, violence, nudity, etc. in a movie. However, this movie used the F*** word so many times that I was completely disgusted. The script was so poor that the writers must have thought throwing in the F*** word in every sentence would somehow improve it. I am a big fan of the first three movies, but this one is a disgrace... Don't waste money even renting this garbage...

Review: For those that think that this is a pan and scan...TURN IT OVER! It is a two-sided disc. Other than those idiots, I think that anybody buying this movie ought to know what they are getting. Jet-Li should have had more scenes, and I do like seeing Mel get his butt kicked. He takes it well...An extra star for the extras, including that awesome scene from part 1 in the schoolyard.

Review: This was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while. Chris Rock has the best scenes in the movie and Jet Li is a wicked villian. They, in addition to the rest of the gang, make this movie incredibly entertaining. As for the quality of the disc, it is nearly perfect. The widescreen transfer is flawless, and the Dolby Digital soundtrack is great. The opening sequence is incredibly dynamic, and the fight scenes sound awesome. The extras are truly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Review: Lethal Weapon 4 was a great movie. I was shocked to see ALL the stuff on the DVD. Some of the movie can get a little boring at times, but the movie all around is great. Chris Rock makes a great addition to the crew.

Summary: Great transfer. Awful plot (or lack thereof)
Review: First, this movie has awesome sound and video transfer, along with some genuinely phenomenal action and humor. Unfortunately, those moments of comedic and combative bliss are FEW and VERY FAR BETWEEN. Jet Li is the star here, and I would very much like to see more of his brand of action on the screen, but Glover and Gibson seem tired.

A great ensemble cast can't breathe life into this done-once-too-many-times storyline that won't seem to die.

I highly recommend renting it, if only to experience the superb audio and video. But don't buy it. Its not a collector-worthy expenditure, in my opinion.

I'm a big fan of the first two Lethal Weapons. (In fact, I just bought both of them.) Lethal Weapon was an action film with some comedy. Lethal Weapon 4 was trying to be funny with a lot of over-the-top action sequences. I nearly shut it off twice while viewing it. I swear the producers must think the typical viewers are morons to release this movie. (Judging by the reviews on this page, they found their audience.) As far as the special features of the DVD... Waste of time. A few scenes that were cut that didn't add anything to the story - BIG DEAL! Save your money, your time, and your intelligence. Watch Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 - Stay away from 4!!!!
