Summary: You have to be drunk to like it
Review: This moive will be a disapointment to most Jakie Chain fans in North America, the dubbing is even worse then most of his moives and the action just dose not make up for it. The begaining is painfully slow with some sentences that will make one eyebrow go up and make you wonder what they are trying to say. True thier are some half decent fighting sceans in this movie but not enough to keep you're hand off the fast forward botten. This is a rentail unless you are a hard core Jakie Chain fan and most have all of his moives.

Summary: Jackie Chan delivers...
Review: This is by far one of his best pieces. The fight sequences are top notch, especially if you like Drunken style boxing. The subtitles are a bit difficult at times to read, but once you go through it, you'll catch the essence of the story. Not too hard to understand.

Summary: What moron did the subtitles?
Review: First I wish to state clearly that the movie is fantastic; really first rate. I gave it 1 star for 2 reasons: to get curious readers to heed my warning and to show my disapointment with the editors who put in the subtitles. Whenever possible I get movies with subtitles. I saw this movie in Japan when it first came out and had to try to read the subtitles in Japanese. I understood about 30-40% of it and was really looking forward to seeing it with English subtitles...I understood more when I saw it in Japan. Even though the movie is in wide screen format and there is plenty of screen real estate to fit the subtitles in the black border below the screen, (the subtitles are in both Mandarin and English) they saw fit to put them on the screen. If they had put them in the black border the white subtitles would have been perfectly legible even though they squeezed two languages in. As it is more than 50% is totally unreadable even if you pause it every few seconds. The backgrounds are often totally white and provide no contrast for the subtitles. I do not like dubbed movies but would suggest to anyone that is thinking of getting this movie to get a dubbed version. It is a fantastic movie and well worth seeing, perhaps one of his 4 or 5 best.

Summary: Jackie's Best Film Ever
Review: Simply put, Drunken Master II is Jackie's best film ever. If you have enjoyed any, I repeat any, of Jackie's movies, you should buy this immediately. It is more in the vein of his older style (more technical fights, fewer stunts, but some great stunts nonetheless), but can still be enjoyed by anyone. If only this would come out on DVD...

Review: What more can I say? Everybody gave a 5 star except for a couple. Could somebody dubbed this in English on DVD... please?

Summary: Jackie is at his best.
Review: Before I watched Drunken Master 2, Supercop was my favorite Jackie Chan movie. Well guess what it is now. This is classic Chan. The fight scenes are incredible, especially the one that takes place underneath the train. Could you imagine how difficult it would actually be to fight underneath a TRAIN? Jackie Chan is one of the most physically gifted HK action stars today, along with his opera brothers Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao. No matter what other reviewers might say, Chan is a truly talented martial artist. He spent ten years training in classical Chinese Opera and if you've ever read his book or know a thing or two about Chinese Opera, then you know that it was brutal. If you're a Jackie Chan fan, or just a martial arts fan, then I highly recommend that you pick this movie up.

Summary: Greatest martial arts movie ever, second to none
Review: The movie continued the great saga from ther orignal movie. The fighting was beautiful and the plot was as great. I watch the movie ever week and still is impressed.

Summary: Same 'ol Jackie
Review: If you're one of those people who are tired of the same old bumbly, dim-witted Jackie Chan characters that he plays in virtually every movie he acts in, then you can skip this film. Coming from someone with well over fourteen years of martial arts experience and the skills to actually perform 540's, butterfly twists, 720's and other "new school" martial arts techniques, I have to say the martial arts in this film isn't the best out there. Heck, I can do better martial arts than a lot of Jackie's material now. For being a relatively recent martial arts film, it lacks a lot of the more spectacular martial arts being performed today, like side swipes, aerial twists, and jack knifes (all highly advanced martial arts techniques for those of you unfamiliar with "new school" martial arts tricks). I was personally tired of the same old Jackie Chan "fast hands" that he shows off in every film. Furthermore, I rather disliked the traditional Chinese setting of the film because of its old, dirty visual appearance. But that's just my personal taste. As far as Jack Sobjack's review from New Baltimore, MI below: Ignore it. It's completely juvenile anyway, especially coming from someone who has to make blatantly presumptuous and belittling comments about other reviewers, and even Jet Li, in order to make himself feel big and to make his review sound intelligent. So, unless you're still amazed by Jackie's unvarying martial arts skills, it would be safe to skip this flick. Maybe just the final fight scene would be worth taking a gander at.

Summary: A very great kung-fu martial arts movie
Review: This movie is, in my opinion, one of the best Jackie Chan movies ever made (at least in the fight scenes). This movie, like most of Jackie's movies, focuses less on plot and more on action! If you watch Jackie Chan movies for the fist fights, then I highly recommend this movie to you. You will be amazed by the final fight sequence between Jackie and his real-life bodyguard, Ken Low, with whirling fists and lightning legs! I was truly astounded by the way Jackie started fighting after he was drunk! He lunged wildly and wasn't fazed by any of Ken's kicks!

Summary: THE BEST!
Review: This is easily the best Jackie Chan film ever! The fight scenes are just jaw dropping. Immediately after I first saw this a couple of years ago I rewound the tape and watched it again. A definite must see for fans and non-fans alike!
