Review: This is a great movie. Chan and Tucker are still together and Tucker comes to see Chan in Honk Kong for a vacation. But it goes sour as a gang called the Triad bombs the US embassy. Now, the duo have to find out who the Triad is and stop them. Good movie with a lot of funny lines that I reccomend you go rent.

Review: "Rush Hour 2" is a highly enjoyable follow-up to the original 1998 box office smash. Like the previous film, this first of what will undoubtedly be a long line of lucrative sequels combines sardonic humor with eye-popping martial arts action sequences to entertaining effect. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan repeat their roles as unlikely cop buddies, starting off the film in Chan's home territory, Hong Kong, and finishing up in Tucker's, the good ole US of A. Chan, with his sheepish deadpan delivery, makes a perfect straight man for Tucker's fast-talking bad brotha wiseacre, whose mouth engages in more heavy-duty action than Chan's karate-chopping hands and feet. Much of the humor is generated by Tucker's ability to seem totally unflustered by any peril that happens to come his way, managing to sass talk his way out of one dangerous predicament after another. Moreover, Chan's ability to create humor out of perfectly choreographed stunt sequences puts him right up there with some of the silent comedy greats like Chaplin and Keaton. The split-second perfection of these scenes, combined with the balletic grace with which they are executed, makes him one of the truly unique talents working in movies today. Luckily, in his move to mainstream American filmmaking, Chan has been able to find behind-the-scenes talent good enough to match his own. The screenplay by Jeff Nathanson, though no world-beater when it comes to originality or depth, does posses a playful spirit that works well in the context of the genre. Likewise, director Brett Ratner keeps the action percolating along at a lively, often dizzying clip. As with most Chan films, however, "Rush Hour 2" seems to go on for about a half hour too long - even though its running time barely clocks in at a very short 90 minutes. Perhaps this type of material really can't be sustained much beyond an hour before the repetitiousness of it begins to take its toll. However, that is certainly a minor quibble about a film that, for the most part, provides plenty of laughs, some kick-... performances and action sequences that, as per usual for a Chan film, will, quite literally, make your jaw drop. .

Review: Well, you already know the plot from the other reviews. I just want to say that this is one of the first true 6.1 DVD that I have found and the 6.1 DTS sound quality is AWESOME!! Picture quality, story is great, but the sounds are even better. You can actually hear Chris Tucker getting a massage from the girls.

Review: What can you say about Jackie and Chris. We all know there will be a third Rush Hour, I can not wait. Lots of action and down right funny. Just wish there two would have gotten together a long time ago!!!

Summary: Improved Production Values and Better Film for It
Review: Immediately you will notice that RUSH HOUR 2 has had its budget increased over the original RUSH HOUR. The cinematography and camera movements alone give you a sense of fluidity that transcends into the film's plot for a more visual style of storytelling. The action, humor and plot are all more effectively woven into a cohesive and pleasantly conceived film. The two main heroes look more comfortable in this one as their camaraderie allows them to grow into their roles and develop their characters. Even the villains of the piece are more dark and dangerous which makes them perfect adversaries and not just villainous cardboard cutouts to be reckoned with. The daring-do and fight choreography are also much more matured and sophisticated. One key feature that really keeps this film moving and upbeat is the incredible score by Lalo Schifrin. Its like Schifrin had been locked away in a closet for twenty years and suddenly he emerges with unbridled intensity and drive. He's been working all the while but never with this demonstration of incredible genius and energy bursting onto the screen. This is definitely several notches above the original.

Summary: It actually *is* as good as the first
Review: Fans of the first Rush Hour should definitely give this one a view. The undeniable onstage chemistry between Tucker and Chan delivers a very entertaining action/comedy. The first few minutes had me worried that this movie suffered from "sequel-itis" but it soon picked up and had me laughing just as the first did. Highly recommended.

Summary: Excellent Movie
Review: This is a great movie. Their is almost twice as much action in this one that was in the other movie. Jackie has done it again, except this time he had a good script to follow and some really good co-stars. I think the actor who played Hui Li made this movie a little better, along with Chris Tucker, who we find that in this movie, you dont need to swear to be funny. He does it all with clever one liners. The female Secret Service agent was good in this movie too, except she was only in about half the movie. The best parts of the movie have to be Chris TUckers micheal jackson impersonation within the first 10 minutes of the movie, and the fight at the massage parlor. Chris tucker seemed to get a little more built, and seems to have learned more Kung Fu than in the last movie. The only bad part of this movie is that their is a lot of action, but not necessarily Jackie action. The 2 fight scenese that involve actual martial arts are awesome, but they are within the first half hour of the movie, and the rest of the action is short little fights, and explosions. Jackie seems to not be into bouncing off the walls anymore, but that's ok if he can fight three guys at once with nothing but his hands. And the fight on the side of the building is great too. The only problem is that it's hard to see what's going on because of all the wood that's in the way. Overall, this is a really great movie, and even if you dont like action, you'll like the story and the comedy.

Review: Great movie. As good if not better than the first. The DVD extras make it worth buying the DVD. Deffinitely listen to the director talking about the movie as he brings much insight to the movie itself.
