Summary: A lot better than the first Rush Hour
Review: After seeing the movie I have to agree with the majority of reviewers, I thourghly enjoyed the movie and have no problem in giving Rush Hour 2 FIVE Stars. Unlike professional film critics who seem to forget the main idea behind movies (beside making money) is to entertain the people and if it has achieved that goal, then it deserves the praise.

any way go see it, and get entertained, very funny indeed....

Review: If you liked the first Rush Hour, you'll love the second one. Tucker and Chan's chemisty is awesome and their comic timing has gotten 100 times better. BUY THIS DISC!

Summary: Rush Hour 2
Review: This is one fun-filled romp from beginning to end. Jackie is marvelous and in this one he gets some of the last words over Tucker. They seem more at ease with each other and play off each other very well. Jackie gets the girl at the end and leaves us with the promise of a Rush Hour 3. Tucker is less annoying than the first one and is very hilarious. Would like to see Sanchez return for 3 and develop the relation further with Jackie. Tucker should be knocked over by a new femme fatale as well. All in all this is a must see, must buy movie for the whole family.

Summary: A fun and very funny but familiar sequel.
Review: While critics bitched about this movie for been too much like the first movie, I think this flick had a lot going for it. It had a great trailer and has made a gigantic amount of money. I think the movie was a lot like the first Rush Hour, but it had a lot of new ideas and plenty more laughs and action in store. First off, the movie is best if you like Chris Tucker. I really enjoyed his performance and he brought up most of the obvious laughs in the movie. Okay, I'll be honest and say Jackie Chan's humour was much more natural and Tucker did annoy me an itsy-bit in places, but I still enjoyed his performance. Chan, while quite high on laughs, had the best action scenes and kicked some serious butt. The two actors have awesome chemistry and seeing them work together once more is a delight. I also enjoyed Zhang Ziyi's performance, she is still strong and sexy and fresh from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The first Rush Hour had an awesome ending, and all I can say for this movie is exactly the same but more praise. The ending kicked some serious booty! I just loved the whole casino deal and the bomb being in Jackie Chan's mouth provided some serious tension and suspense and lots of awesome action, neat one-liners and tonnes of funny scenes and ideas. Apart from all the funny stuff and sweet as action, the film also had some drama. The back-story to Tucker and Chan's fathers both being killed on the job was not exactly touching but it was a emotional attachment between the two characters and I appreciated it. But, to be completely honest, I didn't care for drama in this movie, I just wanted a laugh-a-minute good time at the flicks and I sure as hell got it! Okay, there were a couple of flaws in the flick, as I said before its a lot the first movie and is not exactly original in storyline but the gags are very new and cool and most importantly, HILARIOUS! I thought the movie was particularly annoying with that lady who we never know is a secret agent or a member of Zhang Ziyi's gang until the end. There wasn't much joy there. However, this movie is still a lot of fun and the bloopers are even better than the big picture itself! You just got to love those bloopers! So, overall, the movie had tonnes of energy, was fun to watch and had me rolling in the aisles! Summer fun if there ever was some! Hey, that rhymes...

NOTE: Aside from rhyming reviews, I highly recommend this DVD as a Christmas present. It is reeased on December 11th and I think anyone - grandma's, granddads, parents, children, babies, cats, dogs - with love this film. So, for friends with a DVD, this is a good Christmas pressie!

Summary: Even better than the first DVD.
Review: The DVD of the first movie was part of the New Line Platinum series so it was already full of features. Now the second movie is part of the new Infini Film series which has even more features. So along with a great movie, there are several featurettes, outtakes, deleted scenes, 5.1 Dolby Digital and 5.1 ES. If you own a DVD collection, this is a must get.

Summary: Don't Miss It!
Review: Even though Jackie Chan is a Hollywood superstar now, it's assuring to note that he never lost his root & he endeavoured to make a Hong Kong movie every year. It's sad to say that the quality of his works have gone downhill since the working relationships with his producer, John Woo (successful on his own right) ended. Thankfully, for his Hollywood movies, Jackie is doing what he's good at, acting as a down to earth & humble cop (& betrayed of his stuntmen background with his daring stunts, defts, nimbleness) in contrast with the loud mouthed, brash Chris Tucker (reminded me so much of Eddie Murphy during the Beverly Hill Cop). It used to be that sequels wouldn't live up to the original offering but Lethal Weapon had proven otherwise, & now, I'm proud to say that Rush Hour 2 shares the same laurel too as it's definitely funnier, with slicker action sequences, & both Jackie & Chris were definitely comfortable in their roles for not taking themselves seriously. With the popularity of the original, it's not surprising to note the supporting cast for the sequel comprises of more substantial personas such as John Lone (from the Last Emperor), Don Cheadle (from the Traffic, M2M), Zhang ZiYi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). It's disappointing to note that Zhang ZiYi played a rather wooden character (due to her English limitation & throughout the movie, she possessed the MSG expressions - Mad, Sad, Glad) but no doubt this movie would serve as a stepping stone for her to something more challenging in Hollywood. Overall, a highly enjoyable movie & I look forward to the 3rd offering. Never did I see such an overwhelming responses from the audience: roars of laughter, clapping, booing, jeering, foot stomping on the preview night. A side note, make sure you watch the end credits as they are just as funny & remind us all that Jackie is afterall, human, & kids, don't try this at home!!

Summary: Rush Time Again
Review: The film just opened in Sydney on 27th Sept. I am puzzled at the really negative critics reviews! What film were they watching?? I changed my mind about their being not much of a plot after seeing it a few times (I forgot that when seeing a Jackie film for the first time, the action and comedy is what leaps out at you from the screen!). There are lots of action sequences linked together with the underlying plot and tension between Jackie and John Lone, who plays Ricky Tan. But besides anything the film is FUN - a lot funnier than the first one! It is just what we need at this time, and everyone in the theatre seemed to agree. For one, I go to the movies to ESCAPE real life, not see it live on screen. Love Jackie Chan - at 47 he hasn't slowed down much and he is brilliant (the best!) at action/comedy choreography and stuntwork. He always impresses me that he is so committed to making his films the best he can. I get the feeling he would make a film he liked even if no one came to see it! Money doesn't seem to make that much difference (though I think he is quite well off anyway!) Jackie also looked more relaxed in this film, I thought, and more comfortable with English. A little of Chris Tucker goes a long way, but the two are really great together and Chris's karaoke bit was hilarious. Loved the "copycat" sequence (ie. from Accidental Spy) where Jackie and Chris run naked down the freeway in Hong Kong. As usual, the end outtakes were also hilarious. Please go see the film if you haven't already and just enjoy!
PS> I am really looking forward to getting the DVD when it is released on December 11!

Summary: better than #1
Review: Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have starred in yet another hit, Rush Hour 2. This is one action packed movie with two awesome characters. It is often hard to make a sequel as good or better than the first movie, but Rush Hour 2 proved this theory wrong. I would definately recommend this hilarious action packed movie to all moviegoers. Jackie and Chris have this chemistry that is unmatched.

The two of them are on a vacation turned into a job to find out who is responsible for a bomb that exploded in a U.S. embassy in Hong Kong. While they are spending their time in Hong Kong they come across many agressive locals, and a couple of beutiful locals. The always-serious Jackie Chan was terrific as always in being his own stunt man, and completing his terrific karate moves. It's also a great thing that Jackie knows how to speak Chineese. It was absolutely hilarious when Chris would try to spark a conversation with a local. Chris Tucker's lip syn'c in a local bar was hilarious. It was great to see how two actors of totally different nationality's meshed to make a dynamic duo on the big screen.

There couldn't be more of a difference in two characters. Jackie is as serious as he could be at all times;on the other hand Chris is possibly the funniest actor in the film industry today, never serious. Always chasing the Chineese girls, ever so easily distracted, yet he still manages to hold onto his father type partner, Jackie. The two of them fight as much as brother's do, but it always seems to be Jackie telling Chris to stay in line. When Jackie Chan scales a wall of bamboo up the side of a building chasing the criminals, I said " this is possibly the most gifted actor in his business.

Both actors are having a grand time in Hong Kong, when they are interupted and have to catch a counterfeit organization based in Hong Kong. This is a huge organization that has the power to scam the whole country out of money. Jackie and Chris chase the group and hop onto a yacht for a annual party. They think they killed the headman, but it turns out he is still alive and just fell off the boat and had another boat pick him up. The two then get greedy in L.A. and get hauled off to Las Vegas by the group. The group is attempting to take over the casino.

This is a very funny movie but at the same time they try to make it serious. They add some very suprising special affects at the same time. But if you decide to watch the movie make sure you stay for the ending because they show the mess ups the two did during the film.
