Summary: RUSH HOUR 2
Review: Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are back in buisness and kicking butt in RUSH HOUR 2! Las Angeles detective James Carter is trying to enjoy a vacation in Hong Kong with his friend Cheif Inspector Lee but they find themselves caught up in trying to solve an international case involving a Chinese gang that is smuggling counterfeit money. Lee and Carter end up traveling from Hong Kong, to Las Angeles, and finally to Las Vegas, all the while chasing the bad guys. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker do a good job of providing us with a combination of action and comedy in this sequel that is equal to the first film.

Summary: seen it before....
Review: I liked this movie the first time when it was called Lethal Weapon, I mean Lethal Weapon 2, I mean 48 Hours, etc. I saw every joke coming from a mile away because it was borrowed from every other buddy cop movie ever made. For a younger audience, I'm sure the movie was hilarious, but for a more seasoned audience, it just looks tired and old. It gets 2 stars instead of one because of the nice eye candy in Zhang Ziyi.

Summary: A Fantastic Rush Hour 2
Review: Rush Hour 1 sets up a perfect ending to for a second Rush Hour. If you have not seen Rush Hour 1, then you definitely need to watch it prior to viewing an excellent Rush Hour 2. There are some comments made in the sequel that refer to the original. For example, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker leave for vacation to Hong Kong at the ending of the first show. Shortly into Rush Hour 2, we find out that Jackie and Chris are in China enjoying a luscious time. In this movie you will find that Rush Hour 2 makes a great combination of a spectacular movie with a unique mixture of comedy and action.
Jackie Chan (Chief Inspector Lee) and Chris Tucker (Detective James Carter) are on vacation in Hong Kong when they are called to duty. Their duty is to track down a counterfeit money dealer and bomber who resides in China. Their case carries them through a wild and hilarious adventure.
The comedy throughout this show had me laughing constantly. I loved how Chris Tucker turned every serious situation into some form of a comical and somewhat relieving act of the rising tension. The conflicting genres, comedy/action, make the film one-of-a-kind and worthwhile watching.
The fact that this movie takes place in China where one of the lead characters can't speak or understand Chinese, plays up the clean comedy between two characters of different ethnic backgrounds. There are a couple of hilarious incidents where Chris Tucker makes a fool out of himself because he simply cannot speak or understand Chinese. He tries asks a group of people to tell him where the bomber is, but without knowing he tells the group to pull their pants down. Other forms of comedy in this show would not have been complete without the setting taking place in Hong Kong.
The comedy and action is kept constant and frequent throughout the movie due to the conflicting personalities of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. Jackie is always serious and trying to solve the crime, while Chris figures he is still on vacation. They argue constantly in this movie, but they do it in a way that keeps you from liking one more than the other. This arguing, instead of making the audience opinionated, brings the two characters together and causes us to laugh about the conflicts that occur between the two main characters.
Despite all of the comedy, there are some very serious and action-packed parts. There are a couple of real twists in the show. Jackie goes through a very intense period where a bomb is strapped to him and he has to find the detonator before the bomb blows him away. There is definitely action involved with all of the comedy that is going on.
Rush Hour 2 is one of the few shows to reveal "bloopers" at the end of the video. This has to be one of the greatest parts of the movie. Jackie Chan's spectacular stunts are fascinating to watch, even though some of them are the ones that had to be taken out of the film. It's awesome to watch him diving between bars and scaling walls. Some of my gut-wrenching laughs and winces from painful scenes come from these hilarious and very dangerous bloopers that they show at the end of this film.
Over all, this movie is worth anyone's time and money. It has intense action and great comedy. This is, without a doubt, Jackie Chan's and Chris Tucker's best film, yet. If you liked number one, then you will absolutely love what Rush Hour 2 has in store for you.

Summary: Very Funny!
Review: This was better than the first Rush Hour! I saw the first one and thought that if there was ever another one there was no way it could be as funny. When I saw this one I was almost laughing out loud it was so funny. This movie is worth every penny! It is worth seeing many times because it is always just as funny as the first time!

Summary: Are you ready to laugh????
Review: Chasing felons, trying to stay alive, and remaining in one piece is what Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are trying to do. "Rush Hour 2" picks up right where "Rush Hour 1" left off. It is nonstop laughter throughout the entire film.
It's vacation time for Detective James Carter(Tucker). He finds himself alongside Dective Lee(Chan) in Hong Kong this time. All Carter wants to do is meet women, while Lee is out to hunt down a Triad gang lord who may be to blame for killing two men at the American Embassy. Things get hectic when the duo stumble onto a counterfeiting plot by L.A. crime boss Steven Reign and Triad Ricky Tan. Coincidently Tan is an ex-cop who played a mysterious part in the death of Lee's father. Throw in a power clash between Tan and the beautiful Hu Li(who is one of Ricky Tan's workers) and the boys are soon in deep water with fist fights and life-threatening situations. A trip back to the United States may soon provide answers about the counterfeiting and bombing.
"Rush Hour 2" is a great action/comedy film. There is never a dull moment, I was laughing nonstop. The lame jokes Carter comes up with, and the ethnic clash is what made it so hilarious. Carter tries fighting like Lee, while Lee kicks everybody's butt. If you want to laugh for two hours, then "Rush Hour 2" is the perfect film for you.
Chan and Tucker are hilariously amazing through the whole film. "Rush Hour 2" was just as enjoyable as the first "Rush Hour". I can't wait for "Rush Hour 3".

Summary: Chris Tucker needs a lesson in other cultures!
Review: In typical Jackie Chan fashion, the action and fight scenes were great. As an Asian-American, however, the jokes poking fun of the Chinese culture and others were too much. Chris Tucker chose the most evident things to make jokes about, and displayed the tendency of some Americans to be closed-minded about other cultures. It would've been nice if Tucker redeemed himself at the end, but he continued to be the same close-minded jerk throughout the movie. Were it not for the awesome fight scenes, I would not have enjoyed the movie at all.

Summary: A Small Footnote
Review: Just as a small footnote to the great reviews here, on the technical spec side. I have heard that there will be two trailers in anamorphic widescreen and dolby digital 5.1 for "The Lord of the Rings" on this disc.

They will be hidden easter eggs.

Six stars anyone?

Summary: Even Better Than The First!
Review: When I went to see this movie in the theater, I wasn't expecting much. To be totally honest, I was expecting a likable "same old, same old" entry in the Rush Hour series. Boy, was I surprised! This film was BETTER than the first! It was FUNNIER, MORE EXCITING, and even more UNPREDICTABLE! It had more twists and turns than most films of this genre. While you'll LOVE this movie if you're a fan of Chan and/or Tucker, you're bound to love it if you're merely a fan of action/adventure comedies. Highly recommended!
