Rating: Summary: The best action flick I've seen in years Review: I think that Face/Off is a masterpiece. Travolta and Cage work great together, and the action is awesome. One thing's for sure, you won't find an action film like this in a long time!
Rating: Summary: absolutely great from England Review: watched this film 5 times.....and it is still incredible. the story line directed by woo and douglas make this film is full of action....twists and excelelent acting from both sides one definately to buy
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable! Review: After watching this film you are left gasping for breath at the absolute awe-inspiring sound effects, storyline, but most of all at the visual effects of this movie. Cage is brilliant, at his very best. This movie is on a par if not better than his superb performance in Con-Air. His wit while paying Castor Troy, is then mirrored superbly by the outstanding John Travolta. The best movie I have seen bar none. If you have not seen this movie then I suggest you make it your top priority. Nicholas Cage has emerged into Hollywood's top male movie star and will take some catching after performances like this. A brilliant movie.
Rating: Summary: It was great and action packed. Cage and Travolta were great Review: It was good and if you liked Con Air you will love face off. Cage and Travolta were great. It is action packed and is cool. If you don't like this movie you are a wimp.
Rating: Summary: an outrageous film that joins travolta and cage together.... Review: I only could say that it's the outrgeous films ever..
Rating: Summary: It took action films to a whole new dimension! Review: This was one of Nicholas cage's best yet. The storyline was incredible, and the effects were mind boggling. I don't recommend this to anyone who shivers at the sight of blood.
Rating: Summary: Chock full of action! Review: I really liked "Face Off". It has a lot of action, and there's very few slow parts. However, if I had a bigger rating scale, I wouldn't give this movie the maxiumum rating. That's because of several things. One, Nicolas Cage, as well as John Travolta, played Castor Troy too evil to the point where it wasn't really believable. Two, after the body switch, the way Sean Archer's family, friends, and co-workers, who are ignorant to what happened, believe he's not Castor Troy and that's he's still Sean Archer is not very credible. Yeah, maybe they think that he's changed a little because of the capturing of Castor Troy, but he changed more than a little! The way he talks, moves, smokes, everything! is just too much. Third, the general action of the movie is stretched somewhat beyond reality, like in (another one of Woo's movies) "Broken Arrow". The incompetancy of the cops, and how towards the end of the final showdown both Archer and Troy were seriously injured and they just kept fighting as if they were in great shape are good examples. Other than that, great movie. This movie has a lot of good shoot-outs.
Rating: Summary: THE ACTION ZONE OF THE YEAR¡¡¡¡ Review: Only two movies have the ultraviolence of great star, one Broken Arrow, two do you know, its the best action movie
Rating: Summary: "I could eat a peach for hours." Review: I was so glad that Cage and Travolta switched. It looked more appropriate. The action sequences were, as typical of a John Woo film, brilliantly executed in an operatic fashion. Also the drama was not as hokey and out of place as most dramatic parts in action films seem to be. I honestly think that Cage was snubbed of an Oscar nomination.
Rating: Summary: Check your logic at the door... Review: If you can ignore the fact that the plot of FACE OFF is completely and totally lame, then you will really dig this movie...I did! You really have to have one %^&* of an imagination to let go of the fact that NOTHING in this movie could no way ever happen. If you have a good imagination, enjoy. If not, rent something else. Travolta, in order to save the world or maybe just California, has plastic surgery and assumes Cage's face. And vice versa. The best part of the film is watching Nick Cage doing John Travolta doing Nick Cage, and Travolta doing Cage doing travolta...excellent performances make this lame plot work great!
