Summary: An entertaining thrill ride
Review: I'm going to say right out that I was really, really happy with the treatment Jason Vorhees received in the film. His motivations and personality are depicted faithfully. While it's a shame that Kane Hodder wasn't able to play him in this film, Ken Kirzinger did a decent job of stepping into the maniac's gigantic shoes.

At this point both series have changed into self-referential, postmodern laughfests. There certainly is a touch of that in the ending of the film, but for the most part, the director has done a good job at making both characters vicious and bloodthirsty. I was particularly pleased with some of Jason's especially gory slayings, as I was unhappy with the way that Paramount and New Line toned them down a touch in the previous Fridays.

Do we care about the teens? Not really. They're there so that Jason and Freddy will have someone to go after, and most of them are unsympathetic [people] who deserve what they get.

If you want to be entertained and like either or both franchises, you'll probably like this movie. If you don't like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street, you probably won't like this film either. I was happy with the film because it delivered exactly what I thought I was going to get.

Summary: Four stars for the lack of real fright and scares...BUT..
Review: Saw it opening day. Long awaited and scrutinized by every horror/slasher fan in the world. I can't say enough about this film.

For the gore-hounds out there...much blood is spilled, alot of blood.

For the horror-humour fans...more than enough frightful humour and one liners from victims and FREDDY!!! Of course we all know Jason doesn't talk, he just swings his machete...alot.

Plus really cool real time and dream time fight scenes and fright scenes.

Not scary...more an action/horror movie...but well worth the price of admission...

Now if you haven't seen it yet...quit reading and GO!!!!

Summary: Who's gonna die next?
Review: You want my advice, don't over-analyze this movie, and don't go in expecting it to be the greatest thing to ever hit the screen... You'll ruin the experience. Just enjoy the fact that Freddy and Jason are wailing on each other like madmen! There are tons of in-jokes and mini-tributes to the movies of both series, plenty of blood and mayhem involving teenagers and sharp objects, and of course, Freddy's usual hilarious one-liners. It's a fun movie that'll make you jump when you're least expecting it... Definitely worth the price of a ticket, so don't wait for it to hit video. Go see it now!

Summary: Freddy Vs. Jason is an excellent horror movie!
Review: "Freddy Vs. Jason" is one of the excellent horror movies I have ever seen. Robert Englund returns in his signature role of Freddy Kreuger in this well made horror film that is a part of both the "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and "Friday The 13th" movies. Ken Kirzinger takes on the role of Jason Voorhees. Kirzinger is superb in his role as Jason Voorhees. Englund is just as superb as Kirzinger is. The directing by Ronny Yu is excellent and the screenplay & story is great. The production and costume design, the make-up and special effects, the cinematography, and the music are brilliant. Go see this movie now, I mean, right now!

Summary: Horror icons duel on screen in 'Freddy Vs. Jason'
Review: Freddy Vs. Jason (2003) Robert England, Monica Keena, Ken Kirzinger, Kelly Rowland, Jason Ritter, James Callahan, Brendan Fletcher, Lochlyn Munro, Christopher George Marquette, Odessa Munroe, Katharine Isabelle, D: Ronny Yu.

Dream master Freddy Krueger is desperate to hack some more children on Elm Street, but their parents have them drugging up on dream suppressants. So he figures he'll manipulate mass murderer Jason Voorhees through his dreams by making visions of his mother commanding her boy to follow Freddy's wishes; when damsel-in-distress Keena and her friends start getting dispatched, Freddy realizes the drowned little boy at Crystal Lake is stealing all his kills and the remaining victims find themselves stuck in the middle of the two killers squaring off.

Imaginative at first, while boasting some startling effects, but goes routine and just becomes a potboiler mess with three movies in one. Fans won't be disappointed as they root for their favorite icon dueling it out and horror devotees will take note of all the blood thrown on the actors, but others will go, "Why won't they die?" 'Freddy Vs. Jason' thinks its better than it really is.

Running Time: 98 minutes and rated R for pervasive strong horror violence/gore, gruesome images, sexuality, drug use and language.

Summary: I Knew It!
Review: Went into the theater thinking that Jason would win. The movie was excellent because it delved deeper into what made these killing machines tick. The acting could have been better, but horror movies aren't designed for their superb acting. (However, I went to the Hollywood premiere of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I have to say that it is Oscar-worthy.) Anyway, I just have to say that Jason fans won't be disappointed if you know what I mean. Plus you get the obligatory sex scene that we come to know by heart in the Ft13 movies. Go see it because the hype doesn't do this intense action/horror flick justice. 1,000,000 stars if I could.
