Summary: Lots of action - and FUNNY. What more could you ask for?
Review: This movie and Drunken Master II are my favourite Jackie Chan movies. He's incredible! This movie blends Jackie's trademark stunts and fighting scenes with great slapstick comedy. Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao are great, and add a lot to the comedy. I just wish there were more movies with these three together. They have great chemistry, and I couldn't think of a moment I wasn't laughing during the movie. I just watched it for the first time today, but I know I'll be watchingit many times over.

Review: Yes. This is good. The fight scenes are amzing, and it is SO funny! The only visible flaws are Benny's stupid mascara and Sammo's bowl haircut, but even thry are funny in their own way. If you like martial arts films, you should have already ssen this.

Review: I thought this movie was just delightful. I saw the dubbed version (I wish it had been the subtitled one), and the dubbing wasn't even very awful. The fight scenes between the three Opera Brothers were very funny, and I didn't find the romancing scenes to be excruciating, as some others did (although I must say Jackie Chan is a fighter, not a lover). I liked this much better than Wheels on Meals--I thought the story was superior, and the fights more entertaining, except maybe for the final Chan/Urquidez return match (it would be hard to top the first one).

Summary: Better than good and worse than bad!
Review: Seldom have I ever seen such a painful combination of great fight scenes with baaaad romantic comedy material. I usually make some allowances for plot sequences of..oh, *questionable* quality shall we say? ..in action movies like this, but have mercy Sammo, my toes were curling in agony for so many of these scenes! Hahaha!! The romantic comedy in this VHS box will seem enjoyable or not depending on your taste, but the fight scenes are simply wonderful. I admit that I was looking for an action movie from this title, and that's why I can only give it 3 stars: the action is definitely great enough to merit those three, but the romantic comedy is equally strong in a different way and this rating seems fitting. Knowing this, will you chance this title? ...I'm still glad I didn't pass it up!

Summary: The funniest Jackie's ever done!
Review: Though Jackie Chan has really outdone himself in movies like Drunken Master 2 and Super Cop, this time he captures his audience with some of the greatest slapstick since Laurel and Hardy. There wasn't a moment when I wasn't laughing in this one. And still, the stunts were unbelievable. Though it seems everyone's favourite Chan film is Drunken Master 2, I'm still saying this was his most entertaining.

Review: So far, this is the last of the Jacke Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao trio films. This is also the only one of their films in which these three fight each other, which they do for about half the movie like a bunch of kung-fu three stooges.As Jackie Chan films go, this is not one of his all-time best. The fight scenes, although enjoyable, are not as spectacular as some of the other work he's done. But I do reccomend this picture on the basis of the terrific final fight sequence between Jackie and the man considered by many to be the greatest opponent Jacke has ever fought with, Benny "The Jet" Urqunidez.

Summary: A Triumphant reunion.
Review: Ever since Jackie Chan, Samo Hung, and Yuen Baio where in the Chinese Opera School together they had a wonderful friend/enemy relationship. This movie, wich is hopefully not their last movie together, was infact one of the best movies any of these talented people have starred in. One of the very many reasons to buy this movie is the reunion of old opera schoolmates wich makes for great slap-stick comedy and a touching story. This movie is THE BEST, hands down. Jackie Chan gives a 5 * performance, along with his big brother Samo Hung and his Little Brother, Yeun Baio. Thanks for reading my review and, if you buy this movie, congrats because you have just bought a piece of history that may (i hope) be repeated soon.

Review: Probably one of Jackie Chan's best, this movie ranks high among Jackie's great movies such as Wheels on Meals and Police Story. This movie is not only filled with great comedy, but the fighting scenes are un-matched by any American fighting fighting scenes. This is movie also features the return of Benny "the Jet" Urquidez, in which Chan and Urquidez do battle in the final fight. This was the last movie Yuen Biao, Samo Hung, and Jackie Chan have made together so far and this movie is still the best after 12 years. There are no three guys in the film industry that can match the trio of Chan, Hung, and Biao for action or comedy. This is a must see video. I'd give it ten stars if I could.

Summary: great movie, so-so DVD
Review: First let me say this is one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies, especially with the addition of Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao. Lots of great fights and stunts, but unfortunately none of the standard Jackie Chan outtakes at the end of the movie. The DVD transfer is not up to Hollywood standards, but considering the source material it is not too bad - much better than the pan-and-scan VHS version I had previously seen. The re-mixed Dolby Digital 5.1 sound was relatively clear, but the sound effects during the fight scenes were overdone with typical kung-fu movie sounds whenever characters took a swing or made a kick. This was very apparent when Benny the Jet "cracks" his neck - it sounds like he's made of balsa wood. This is no different from the VHS version, but with the directionality of the surround mix, the sounds become even more distracting. There were some differences from the VHS version: a scene was missing where Yuen Biao visits his psychiatrist. This ommission makes his character's motivation a little harder to understand, but other than that you're only missing out on a little comedy. Also, there were no subtitles to the song lyrics in the middle of the movie. This is unfortunate, because the subtitles on the videotape version were unintentionally hilarious ("our hearts walk arm in arm...a touch, and sparks of electricity leave my heart strings atremble, love is conveyor belt of warmth"). DVD owners will miss these wonderful lyrics.
