Summary: An important movie not to be missed...
Review: "Peaceable Kingdom" is at times sad, shocking, and depressing... but it is ultimately uplifting and inspiring. Who knew all these terrible things were happening to farm animals? We must be their voice, and work to change how they are treated. The most effective way, of course, is to adopt a vegan diet.

It is important to see farm animals for what they really are -- sentient beings who can feel physical pain and who can suffer psycologically from intense confinement (not to mention fear). I have been to Farm Sanctuary's CA shelter, both as a visitor and as an intern, and it helps to see animals like pigs or cows or turkeys being cared for so lovingly after enduring various cruelties at the hands of humans. You discover that, just like our dogs and cats, each individual has his or her own personality, likes and dislikes (such as certain sleeping places or favorite foods), and generally likes to interact with people. "Peaceable Kingdom" conveys this very well, I think.

I have seen this movie 3 times so far, and it makes me laugh and cry every time. I cannot recommend it enough.

Review: This documentary is from the award-winning producers of "The Witness." It will make you laugh and cry, and perhaps see your "food" in a different light.

Summary: Powerful, Beautiful Film about the Farm Sanctuary
Review: This film might change your life. The main subject of the film is about the Farm Santuary in Watkins Glen, NY and the inhabitants of the sanctuary. As Americans, we know very little of the lives of the creatures that we are most involved with - the ones we eat.

Peaceable Kingdom is not a film filled with despair and pain. It is instead filled with love and hope for a better world - A world that we get a glimpse of in this 77 minute documentary. A world that is easy to believe can become a reality someday.

Peaceable Kingdom provides the viewer with a roadmap to that world.

Peaceable Kingom in its finest moments will make you laugh and cry at the same time.

And if you aloow it to will give you pause and question some of the barbaric things that we do to these gentle souls that end up on our plates - and on our feet.

I found this film to be inspiring and beautiful - A wonderful escape full of real possibility that one day we may leave behind our brutal ways.

This is a film of healing and hope and I give it my highest recommendation and that is to buy it and share it with everyone you know!

Summary: Life changing
Review: This film WILL change your life. It is the most powerful movie I have viewed -- ever. You will never shop in a grocery store or order food in a restaurant again without thinking about aspects of this film. Either from a humanitarian or emotional conviction or from a health perspective, it will change your life. Do we really *want* to eat and mistreat our friends? Those gentle farm animals that we grew to love as children, on our farms and ranches, in our books and childhood movies? Do we really *need* to eat our friends? Only to polute our bodies with antibiotics and diseases that we manifest to these poor creatures? This film gives much food for thought. Please, please do yourself a favor and view this film. And then make sure everyone you know views it next.
