Summary: Boring Movie
Review: (...) The entire movie is very slow. Especially the last 30 minutes -- AI was drunk and she was walking, walking, and walking to find that obscure man... Shoot! I just finished the movie few hours ago and now I forgot how it ended -- I remember my reaction was, "huh? that's it???". But if you are going for the visuals of sex and nudity, too, you will be very disappointed.

Summary: ....eroticism oweing to humiliation of pretty.......
Review: A very pretty but timid Japanese college girl tries to make ends meet as an S&M Bondage girl for hire within lavishly wealthy Tokyo Penthouses. She quickly finds herself in over her head (where not much seems to be going on anyways) as she wonders how to get out.

The movie, rather than trying to say anything too profound, simply keeps to the theme of many other Japanese pink movies -eroticism oweing to humiliation of pretty and timid pliant young Japanese women.

This DVD is unrated rather than NC-17 as Amazon mistakenly says. The NC-17 version is 112 minutes long and comes only on one of the two VHS versions. The DVD transfer quality is as good as you would expect for DVD except for a penthouse scene, at night, where the darkness evidently was not compensated for in the transfer. And the scene as depicted on the DVD cover takes place mostly during the day rather than the night and is a highlight to the eroticism of the humiliation. Audio is mono. Personally i would go for the VHS copy and I give that 5 stars.

Summary: Best S&M film ever?
Review: Another user states, "this is the best S&M movie evermade", and that shows the lack of quality films on the subject ofsado-masochism.

Sure, I see how masochists might enjoy this film; it's the worst quality DVD I've seen. It's a cheap transfer from the full-frame tape.

I can also understand how it would appeal to a sadist, because the main charcter works as an S&M prostitute even though she is not at all into S&M. And that was my main problem with the story. I just kept asking myself, "Why does this woman do this when its not her thing?

Summary: This probably is what decadence is in Tokyo
Review: I never visit Tokyo before. Never been rich or poor enough to afford life like those in this VHS. Never have any idea of who the director is and what he/she is up to by filming the movie. I know the historical is moden, but not sure which decade it is. Abstract, for generalizability?

I am not in any position to say if it offers insights of any kind. What convinces me is this life probably is really the "true" life in Tokyo, the day in day out of a Japanese girl.

What I like this movie is it is telling you something people don't talk about, something you don't read in newspaper. Something that does not make news but really could be going on. The struggle, shame, fear, confusion, face... we have everyday.

I suddenly, while writing this message, understand much better why ladies tend to put costumes on when going out.

What I don't like the movie is in expressing what it wants to express, the movie references to too many traditions, of society and of making movie, which are not quite fit for presenting this theme, especially in the last 25 minutes of the movie when the movie seems to unroot itself, get loose from its whole framework. Artistically, this is a movie that scores C.

Summary: Nice eye candy, not much else
Review: I recently rented this movie under the assumption (based on what I heard about it) that it was pretty good. Unfortunately, this movie didn't live up to the hype that preceded it. Basically, the movie's plot is this: the protagonist, Ai, is a young woman who engages in a series of S&M encounters with the upper class that aren't particularly memorable. Near the end of the movie, she deliriously searches for a guy she met long ago. The movie isn't clear about the significance of this man, meaning that he could have been anything ranging from a former boyfriend to a past client. Really, there isn't much to this movie other than the S&M, which is mediocre compared to other films.
However, before I render final judgment, I would like to see either the DVD or VHS version that is dubbed in English. As a fan of foreign films, I know that when I movie is subtitled, only the essential dialogue is included and oftentimes leave out all of the nuances that make the movie special. In this case, my review may be premature, and I might have to reassess it after viewing the English version of it. As it stands, I can only give it two stars, and that's for the beautiful women that were cast in the movie.

Summary: Tokyo Dullness
Review: I saw this film about seven years ago when it was touring the second string art houses. (I don't live near a first string art house.) I genuinely love foreign film and Asian film in particular. I prefer subbed to dubbed because it lets me hear the emotions directly. However this film's excellent imagery was not sufficient to overcome its dull and not particularly erotic plot. It wasn't a total waste of time, but there are better ways to spend time than watching this film.

Summary: A perfect way to have a monster laugh with lots of friends!
Review: I watched this movie when i was in seventh grade. I usually think porn is tasteless and crude, but I totally dug this one. Although the chick is absolutely incredible, this movie didn't turn me on at all. The reason I liked it was that it was so funny! Just watch it. It is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Now I can never find it in the video stores, but I always check. Trust me that this is a total riot that everyone will dig!

Summary: Excellent BDSM movie
Review: I watched this movie when it first came out from Japan in an university movie theater. The heroin is pretty. Moreover there are many tasty scenes of bondage, humiliation, flogging, pet training connected by a nice story line. I ordered the DVD a few month ago when it came out and am very happy about it. The only drawback of this movie is its ending, a very slow paced, non-kinky, rather sad lengthy activities. Overall it is still an excellent movie if you enjoy BDSM sex.
