Review: This collection consists of 3 DVDs. First off, this is not hardcore porn. Don't expect that just because of the word "erotica" in the title. Don't get me wrong, there is quite a bit of nudity and mild sex scenes, but there is also quite a bit of plot which is why I enjoyed this set. There are no extras on the DVDs, and they are all spoken in Japanese with English subtitles. Chinese subtitles and dubbing is also available.

"Sugar Howling of Angel" stars Makiko Kuno, Kaori Sakagami, and Daisuke Shima. This is a story of a woman whose child and husband are murdered. She is forced into prostitution and drug addiction until she meets a hit man. He teaches her how to become an assassin so she can plot her revenge against the murderers.

"Castle Orgies" stars Setsuko Ogawa, Yoichi Nishikawa, and Yasuko Matsui. This was my least favorite of the trilogy, but it was still ok and at times was ridiculous enough to be amusing. My biggest problem was that the movie was just "old". The film, set, and quality were old. The copyright is 1971, so it is at least 30 years old. The setting is during Japan's Tokugawa period where young women of certain families were sent to the shogun castle. There, the shogun picked from numerous women to satisfy his sexual desires. The plot revolves around a woman who is sent by her family against her wishes because she loves another man.

"Lustful Revenge" stars Itsumi Osawa, Kazuhisa Kawahara, and Masasuke Hirose. This one's about a female detective who tracks a serial killer. The killer is distinguished by murdering his victims in a gruesome sexual manner. As the detective becomes closer to figuring out who the killer is, she ultimately becomes his target.

Review: When my wife and I bought this DVD and watched it we were rather disappointed. We like a richly detailed story and a slow supsenseful build to our erotic climax and this delivered none of that. If you like 20 dollar porn tapes you'll enjoy this production; if not, keep looking.
